flutterby reacted to Breal in Too Important To Make A Mistake
Just an update: My brother had to order his Kgo from Northwest Vapors because there was something amiss with the hoosier site at the time. He has everything he needs to begin, but is still waiting on the needles he purchased (to fill his EMDCCs), before he begins. (he has regular cartomizers and attys, as well)
Things have to be done 'just so', you see. Hopefully he'll begin this week.
According to the instructions, the kgo must be charged for 7 to 8 hours, used a couple of times, and then charged another 3 to 4 hours--EACH.
These charges, in his opinion, must take place while he is present and aware for safety reasons.
And, naturally, one must have TWO ready to fire at a moment's notice.
He is determined, excited, and utterly resolved to only Vape through the remainder of the Lenten season. He says that a few friends of his said that they tried the disposable e-cigs and said that although they were unable to quit smoking, they definitely smoke less now.
Not to worry. I was dutifully encouraging, positive, and supportive.

flutterby got a reaction from Retriever in New Member
Hey Retriever.. welcome aboard!! I started out with 808's too.. my first kit was the V2 and it amazed me enough to get off the analogs. But I always felt like I was missing something.. so I moved on to an Elite 808. Little bigger battery, certainly better life on it and those got me through my first three months analog free. About a week ago I got myself a kgo.. and I seriously love this thing! The batteries last more than a day before it needs a recharge and with the right carto... it's fabulous! I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything with this set up! My kgo is 510 threaded,, so I had to get an adapter to be able to use all those 808 cartos with it,, but the adapter works just fine. I still keep all my 808s around for back-up,, but if you're looking for something with a little more ooomph and don't want to go the mod route.. take a look at the kgo.. you won't be disappointed!

Thanks for posting this. I don't really know of contests when they come up so it helps when someone posts about them.

I Love my Ego Clearomizer! I've never had any wicking problems and they're so easy to clean! No leaking, no mess, no icky e-juice on a draw.. the flavor is good and it's really sleek.

The volcano tube tank + tube sock would work with your kgo. The kgo is the same as the ego, different maker.
I really like my tube tank, holds about 4mls of liquid. excellent vapor and throat hit, flavor is good. But the flavor from the clearomizer is better. The clearomizer is over all easier to use, but I really like both. Its nice to just change things up.
PS....Im really glad you are liking the clearomizer.

I use smoktech tanks (or atleast thats what I think they are not branded and picked them up at a local shop but they resemble them the most so I'm assuming thats what they are.) They are punched three times at the bottom of the carto and have the metal flanges, I got one of the smaller 3.5 ml I believe and a 6ml I think. They work amazing, been using the same cartos for about 2 weeks now, they give off amazing taste, great vapor and throat hit and I have fell in love with tank systems. I have heard a lot of good about the J tank and that is probably the next one I will pick up. I do want to try some CE2s though.
