  1. I have a lot of time on my hands...overnights at a classy hotel, no drunks usually, leaves me pretty bored and drooling over PVs. I have tried Boge 2.0's, and they are decidedly delicious, but they still leave me sort of on the bubble about possibly a warmer/stronger vape. I use 100% PG juices at 24mg 95% of the time for the throat hit. And the Ego-C out perform my cartos, so I usually use those. Maybe if I used a Standard Resistance and stuck it on my Lavatube at 6.0 that would do it? I'll try that tonight and see how that fires up. I like the precise plus, but I don't know if that is quite portable enough. I will eventually invest in a high quality "at home" type PV. but for now I am working on quenching my portable every day/every second vape. A 5V box would be an excellent idea. I will have to pick one up and see how that winds up. Another new road to travel
  2. I have recently been diagnosed with ANOTHER mental illness...talk about LUCKY! It's called VAD, the doctor said it is quite serious...and will be extremely expensive to treat, because my insurance won't cover it. I already called them and hammered the customer service girl, but she wouldn't budge. I guess it stands for Vaping Acquisition Disorder... So here was his prescription for me, and it looks rather bleak as it will take quite a while for me to fill it: 1 (one) REO Grand (preferably all black) 1 (one) Bolt PV (black) 1 (one) Pro Vari (with Blue display option) 1 (one) Riva SE starter kit 1 (one) 510/EGO 3.5 ml DCT (clear) 1 (one) 30 ml bottle of Bobas Bounty juice Without all of the above items, he says I will surely die unhappy. He didn't say that it actually affected my life expectancy, but he did say my quality of life would suffer. Possibly to an extent that would certainly cause me to be institutionalized. Feel free to post any of your guys diagnoses...and the accompanying prescriptions you recieved. It would be nice to know I am not alone on this.
  3. Currently using my JoyeTech Ego-C kit. I love the Ego-C, and I love using carts sometimes. I bounce back and forth, but primarily I use my Ego-C, with LR attys. I also have my LT VV mini, but that only comes out when I am sitting around doing nothing. I want to pick up something that has a bit more punch, but is highly portable. I can tuck my 2 ego 650's into my pocket and roll with those all day at work, I don't NEED anything more than those, but if I could pick up 1000 mah batts that would be fine. Looking at these few things, maybe someone has other options. I am heavily researching and want something I can commit to for awhile, and hand down my Ego's to my brother. Riva SE: http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?page=shop.product_details&flypage=vmj_color_plus.tpl&product_id=304&category_id=24 This option looks good. The higher output, low cost, and EGO/510 connections are excellent. KGO: http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?page=shop.product_details&product_id=936&category_id=31&flypage=vmj_color_plus.tpl Really about the same as the Riva SE from what I can tell. Don't really know if either is better than the other. Ego-C upgrade battery: http://joyetech.com/product/details.php?gno=108 JoyeTech is coming out with a new 650, BAttery voltage output option that may prove to be just the thing. I am not sure if the 1100 mah batteries will be too long for me or not. I do like JoyeTech products, and this would do the same thing as the KGO and the Riva SE from what I can tell. 4.2 to 3.3 as the battery dies? The last option I have found would be the Bolt PV:http://www.crystalclearvaping.com/The-Bolt-PV-1600-mah_p_87.html I would probably pick up a kick for it(http://supertmanufacturing.com/id87.html), as well as the 18650 extension, and then use the 18350's and 18650's I already have. I have two 18650 batteries I picked up for my future products, but have no use for them yet, and I would LIKE to put them to use. IF you bothered to read this entire evilness I have created, please let me know about what you would suggest/do/have done. I am certain I am not the first person in this situation. Remember, the key here is portability, and concealment. I need to be able to carry it in my pocket. and use it without getting hassled by my bosses/coworkers. Price isn't a concern so long as it fits the requirements better than the other options. Finally, thank you all in advance. I really do appreciate the help/suggestions. I will look into anything that seems to fit the bill.
  4. I personally always add a sweetner to my liquids, but of course many don't like them that way. If you do any DIY you can control your flavors much more accurately, and save money in the long run. If you find something you can vape all day, run with it. The "food grade" isn't a big issue, just buy from reputable vendors/someone you trust. Some of the internationally shipped liquids have been known to be of subpar quality...with other things possibly mixed into the liquid. Always be sure that what you are vaping is safe, we want this to be HEALTHIER than smoking...not worse.
  5. Thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate the warm welcome back. I am really happy with the recovery. MOST hip replacements are done on 60+ year olds, so they don't expect them to do physica therapy for about 3 weeks after surgery. I was up and moving well after 6 days, so my recovery is amazing by comparison due to my age.
  6. This info would be helpful to myself, as well as countless others I am sure Does anyone have any knowledge as to why AW is the recommended brand? It seems that Trustfire is quite well represented on many vaping websites. As are some panasonics. Would a battery such as this be useable and safe? http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-3100mAh-Industrial-NCR18650A-Rechargeable/dp/B0062ANS7O/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1332660022&sr=8-7 The new panasonic is quite questionable as I don't see it being labled as protected...and being an industrial battery it just scares me a bit to use with a personal device.
  7. From the shadows! Another lurker converted! Glad to have ya!
  8. WElcome both Fauxsmoker and Monkey! If you have any questions just ask and we will do our best to help you out! Otherwise there is a HUGE amount of info to sift through to find what you need. Keep in mind that it might take a bit to find your "perfect" setup, but the time is worth it because...well, look at the alternative. Glad to have you both!
  9. Same Mike. The C has run great for me since I picked it up as my first serious vaping device. Full, empty, it always runs well. If something ever starts to taste bad, switch it out, and it fires great right after. I start with my atty, then the tank I am using, and that has always fixed it right up.
  10. Alright. After reading this thead...and constantly wondering why I was. I want to try a different battery than my JoyeTech Egos...I have some serious VAD. Would you suggest giving the Leo Pro a run for the money? Seems good enough, but I do need it to be Ego friendly. Will the Pro thread Ego type supplies? All I have seen listed was the 510 threading, nothing noted about Ego. I am looking about for something like my JoyeTech Egos that fires hotter, anything higher than 3.3 is fine with me really. I love the passthrough option as well.
  11. JoyeTech genuine Varivolt?!?! Heck yes. I do use my LR's and 650 Joye batts as my main PV's. Granted I am still only 2 months in, so maybe I will find something better? But these seem to do the trick well enough for me atm, The VV stuff tends to be too big for me to hassle with at work.
  12. YES! I stealth vaped in my prep room, hiding the ecig with my mother when I had to go get cut, and after the surgery when my family entered the first thing I asked them for was my bag, with my Ego's in it It was a fine experience, and everyone was really nice/helpful. As it turns out, the nurses in the area didn't even ask about the odd things on my bedside table, it was so packed with random junk/grabbers/breath testers/pill/ect that they didn't even notice. One nurse walked in when I was exhaling, but didn't mention anything, although I saw the question roll through her head. (Then again maybe that's my paranoia with my heavily drugged state going to work there)
  13. Just this morning I grabbed a carto that I haven't used for about 1.5-2 months, refilled it with my melon juice, and hit it right there...usually I let them bathe in rubbing alcohol, but this one was just too new and I put it aside because I didn't care for the weak melon flavor, got melon flavor in, mixed up a stronger batch, and off to the races. No noticeable side effects If something comes up I will let you know, but judging from my current good health, and Dudes brilliantly logical explanation, I am not worried.
  14. I have tons of unflavored nicotine juice. I can mix up a strength and Pg/VG mix unflavored if someone needs. I can even flavor it if you want. I don't have my flavors around but I will list them sometime. I will not ship someone 100mg/ml liquid, but I can cut it to whatever strength someone would want/need. I am always interested in checking out a new flavor if someone wants to do a trade of some sort, I have lots of juice sitting around...well over 400 ml of premixed juices, and then my DIY stash, which is...significanly bigger than my premixed. Let me know if someone wants something or wants to send something my way. I am not terribly hard up for cash, so this isn't really a true PIF post, just a I'll show you mine if you show me yours
  15. My JoyeTech Ego's without load measure at 3.7. I like em with LR equiptment, but for anything more I use 5+ volts
  16. You do run through Ego-C attys at an alarming pace sometimes, and sometimes they last almost forever (3 weeks of heavy vaping). I vape the same juice, the same way, every day, and have noticed that the LR attys go at about the same pace as cartos, always hit or miss really. The attys are easy to clean for a 2nd run though through dry burn/boil/alcohol bath, much easier than cartos are at least. Keep with the Ego-C in my opinion, but YOU MUST get a pack of cartos in case of failure. You cant let yourself get caught off guard with these little guys The Ego-C is equally as reliable as cartos IMO, and about the same price, but with better flavor overall, cartos tend to get muted about a week in to them, I have never had a loss of flavor until my atty dies in my Ego-C.
  17. Apparently they are 3.3-5 volts...Not enough variance to be a huge VV device, but it LOOKS freakin awesome.
  18. Hello errybody! Just back to work after about a month off due to a left total hip replacement, went way better than expected and I am just working on strenght and control now. I had been on narcotics for almost 14 months, and am now dealing with the end of the withdrawl period, and running into a bit of a bout with depression. Working out and staying active is helping a lot, but I am not too worried I still love life and cannot wait for all the beautiful things to come for me! It's amazing how much strenght you lose when you don't use your muscles for over a year. I have had to takes steps one at a time with my right leg, as well as use a cane/crutches...quite an ordeal! Anyhoo, back in action and I will be around more frequently again.
  19. Lucky to have two quality suppliers so close...I have nothing near me really. Besides Sweet-vapes, and they don't really have a store front. Wish I had madvapes and freedomsmokes right there. Durn it.
  20. Excellent info. A sure to send to your E-cig bashing buddies
  21. What cartos do you use? Even with 100% VG, you shouldn't be killing every carto in less than 5 days. Some may be junk sometimes if you get quality cartos. But, you should get 5-7 days with 100% VG in a Boge or a Ressurector. Try a Ego mega dual coil carto. They seem to last a bit longer for most people, although they are a bit more expensive, and if you are running high VG, they may be to spendy to kill in 7 days. 5 cartos for 10 bucks is my max. You can get great cartos for 8-10 bucks easy.
  22. Great info there. I am going to look into organizations that do promote E-cig use. I have been doing advocacy/ low level lobbying for a long time with birth control and sex education. I might just start into E-cigs as it is something in my wheelhouse to some extent. I am by no means a lawyer or pro, but this could be a fun hobby...although I do believe we need something/one that treats it more than a hobby. I am sure once Joye, or another major producer gets HUGE in the US, and has a profit margin that can swing some weight they will fight, but for now most manufacturers, and retailers are simply not large enough to do anything. Mom and Pop are dying...and those are what E-cig users like, because they create a quality product, and can be trusted...but in this case it will bite us in the arse I fear.
  23. Gotcha, The caramels/vanillas are much better on the LR attys. The only situation where a Standard could be better is on a really light tobacco or a highly fruity juice. If you ever taste a burnt juice, and you know that your atty is clean, it might be too much heat on the juice. But the LR's certainly bring out the flavors better on the more complex juices. More heat=more flavorful notes in almost all juices, but you can go overboard and burn the juice. With the ego-c That is very seldomly a problem, I haven't had it yet, and I have tried a heck of a lot of juices. Every time, the LR is better than the SR atty.
  24. I have used the SR's and the LR's, the standards just don't burn hot enough for me. The LR attys hit it right on the head for every flavor I have tried so far. There are a few I can sneak a little bit more out of my VV device going to 5+volts...but not enough to bother most of the time. I have a great go to menthol, and I keep another filled with a random flavor, blueberry cheesecake at the moment. Personally, I wouldn't bother with the Standard Resistance. They are just sitting, 4 in the unopened pack still since I got my Ego-C. I use Lr's all day long.
