  1. well, added some peppermint extract, and made up super condensed coffee syrup , but this crap juice i had was pretty thin in the first place and the thin extract alone made it almost too thin to use, but it doesn't taste half bad! vapor is almost nonexistent though... oh well. guess i'll orders a bottle of VT juice tomorrow. i HATE ordering one bottle and paying that shipping knowing i'll be placing a huge order a week later. thanks for the help guys. it kinda worked, lol.
  2. there is actually a Bickford in Cleveland, but it's way on the other side of town, and all their info states "commercial sizes". i will try search for local candy suppliers. i know of a place close by where i got bulk chocolate pellets a few years ago, maybe they would have something.
  3. ok. first the problem. i was running out of juice, but i friend i turned onto vaping (who went back to smoking) wad a bottle of my preferred mix i made for him (menthol/coffee) which he gave me a couple days ago. that will run out my tomorrow night, for sure. however, i DO have a 30ml bottle of "Reduced PG Icy Menthol" - if you read my review of this, well, basically it tasted like a new atty (plain PG primer). is pretty thin in consistency, and is basically intolerable to vape as is. i am dead broke until the 16th. this is the key. what i need to know is: is there anything household, or available at a common grocery store, that i can add to it to make it minty/menthol, or coffee flavored to get me by until my next order? i do not care if it will be hard on atties. i have a bunch and will be ordering more along with cartos on my next order. so if i can melt an Altoid, or add a bit if some wicked strong coffee, i will do so even if it will crap up the atties. i'd rather burn up a few atties that start smoking again, and i WILL NOT make it to the 16th with nothing. the 30ml bottle will easily get me buy, but not as is. it is seriously flavorless (in a bad way). Llike i said above, it pretty much tastes exactly like a new atty (imagine vaping that for 10-12 days!) any solution will do. i have never made DIY juice so i do now know what i can use. i say a video of a guy who soaked a snuss packet in PG, so i figured i could do the same with coffee.... PLEASE HELP! THANKS!
  4. yeah... been getting more and more intrigued my the SB... but i don't think so right now. it seems way too big for convenient pocket carry... however... in the future i think i might have to get one.
  5. ok. i'm looking into the SB, you guys have sparked my curiosity to look more into that device. i found someone who has the SB, Joker, and Spade (i have a Spade, so it jives me a reference point) who will take i pic tomorrow. i really appreciate all the input!
  6. i never used carts (meaning i used the 3-4 times in the beginning and immediately realized i hated them). i exclusively drip. i will be ordering cartos on my next big order in a couple weeks though, as they seem like a good solution to vaping when dripping is impractical (like while driving), and they seem to be getting rave reviews from experiences PV users.
  7. another thing i noticed, as it relates to vaping where you couldn't smoke... when i am between classes, when i smoked i would go out side and have a whole cig, or two. but with vaping i found that 2-3 hits from a PV on my way from one class to another was all i needed. i wouldn't even consider only taking one or two hits from an analog... i would simply finish it, even if it made me late.
  8. i never used a LR atty... BUT i do know that if you are adding juice when the atty is hot it will/may: 1. thin the juice, making it easier (and more likely) to run out the air-holes 2. the heat will cause the need to "escape", meaning it will be "pushed" out the air-holes someone more knowledgeable can clarify
  9. i wave always done some kind of coffee/menthol mix. after several experimentation, i settled on a version that is perfect for me. roughly 40% VT Mentha, 40% VT Cappuccino, 20% Awesome Vapor Special Roast Coffee
  10. thanks guys, keep it coming. the more input the better. however, even though the versatility and sheer brute durability of the silver bullet is appealing, it is way bigger than what i am interested in at this time. also i have no interest at all in proprietary batteries (like the eGo) what-so-ever. i do like the wetbox for a "in the car" unit (where dripping if difficult), and since i only vape one flavor/mix, changing flavors is not an issue for me. but i plan on trying out cartos when i order a new unit so that would solve the in-car dripping issue regardless of unit.
  11. thanks. yeah, still leaning towards the VYPR... but i am tempted my the VT sale on the Joker kit... even if it is lavender.
  12. what kind of battery life are you getting with the Joker? i vape low nic, but i vape a lot. the PV pretty much never leaves my hand so battery life is important to me
  13. ok.... i was dead set on a Joker (i love the 5v experience, based on my VP PT) but the cost of the Joker, as well as the rate at which a 5v sucks down juice (more cost), combined with my financial situation... i think i am leaning towards the VYPR (and maybe a Wetbox as well) and loading up on atties/cartos, and a couple cases of bulk VT juice. my current situation is i am a full time student, i have 3 children, and divorced... so money is tight. school is paid for (community college on grants), but my student loans are my main source of cash right now. i do love the 5v experience... but i also like NOT running out of juice before my next check arrives, which has happened the last couple times. so i am looking a "cost vs need" situation, between getting a 5v Joker or 3.7v VYPR ( i NEED a longer life battery, but i WANT a 5v unit), in addition i am considering the rate of juice consumption. it's hard to judge how much juice i would go through based on my VP PT (5v) which rips through juice, but is not portable (i vape diffe3rently at home that i do when out and about) compared to my Spade which is my constant companion, but i think i hat hit on more often due to it not being as "strong" as the VP PT. so i guess my question is: does it all even out (juice consumption) taking fewer hits from a unit that uses more juice... or more hits from a 3.7 that uses less juice (per hit)? given my situation... would you opt for the Joker and and get it while you had the cash to do so, or would you get the VYPR (i need longer battery life than the Spade, regardless) and use the savings (over the joker) to double up on my juice and atties to make sure i don't run out yet again? i am leaning towards the VYPR (i like the longer battery life, and the compact size), but i would really appreciate some input and/or advice from people who actually own these units. thanks.
  14. another question: from the pics of the VYPR, and using the 510 atomiser as a unit of measurement, it loo like it's about a 1/2 inch shorter than the Spade, is that about right?
  15. that Maco seems like it has more parts than and is more complicated than it needs to be. i guess it would be cool if you like tinkering and swapping bats...
  16. any VYPR users out there have a realistic estimate for battery life? i vape like i used to smoke... which is to say that i have a PV in my hand at all times unless i am actually doing something else that requires two hands. i kill a 10440 in about 1 hour. sometimes 2 hours if i am lucky.
  17. i have used the tail-pipe mod on my VP PT for months. much more convenient.
  18. hey burn, if you are going to use "submariner" as discriptive slang... you may want to re-think the word "smoke".
  19. i agree with the regular manual 510, with a few spare bats (maybe even a 5-bat charger from TW) and plenty of cartos (like a dozen or more) just in case the son gets lazy. and i would much rather have a blind person dealing with e-cigs than analogs, and i know plenty of blind people who smoke (and never miss the ash tray or catch on fire)
  20. that is great! i love VT, but it seems like a great idea to put that type of general info in a single easy to read and easy to find place. sifting through 100s of posts can be daunting for newbies. great job (one again!) chris! i agree w/ ddavelarson. technical stuff would be great. as a gun guy, i can tell you that i read endless reviews on firearms... but really they are all just some guy's opinion. i find i am much more interested in detailed breakdowns that may not appeal to a mass market, but which are extremely interesting to those who already know the basics. like detailed schematics, cut-aways, diagrams, specs (and what those specs mean) and so on. you can only read so many "reviews" before they start to just blend together. where as a "cut away model" showing you how it works is FACT. that you can see with your own eyes. as it relates to e-cigs, same holds true... you have to sift though tons of info to find something really interesting (for every 500 youtube e-cig reviews, there is one great "how to" or "did you know" video buried among them). it would be nice to have a chart of the TRUE life of common batteries (not the mah printed on the battery, which is always inflated). diagrams explaining (specifically) how common e-cig models work. maybe even a chart or two explaining/illustrating "drop off" with certain models as batteries are expended.... stuff like that. like you did with the chemical content of e-juice. maybe even a "common myths debunked" article.
  21. i am addicted to this damn game now!
