  1. excellent review. can't wait for the follow-up! this is one of the finalists in my quest for a new higher voltage device. this would be a slam dunk if it had a 510 fitting... it still my win after all, but i think i'll wait for your follow up, i still have a week or so to make up my mind, lol.
  2. i carry in my front jeans pocket, so the length matters a bit to me, but if i got a shorted device the adapters you posted look better. i may pick one up to try out on my VP PT (where, obviously, size is not an issue)
  3. the floating center pin pushes the center of the atty in, the additional double connection is more place for juice to get into, if you drop it is will bend at the weakest point (the adapter)... not to mention the added length (it adds up). i can go on and on. i just don't like them. plus...at least on my VP PT, if it is fully seated on the connection, the atty wont screw down fully, or vise versa (if i screw it on the atty first, it won't fully seat on the PT's connection). fine at home, but not for on the go. i have an adapter from Vaprlife on my VP PT, so it's the same one you have.
  4. ok.. i think i am going with a Wetbox (cartos/longer battery life) then i am going to wait a bit longer to decide on an HV unit... i want to see how the Megalodon turns out. looks versatile, and MUCH smaller than the SB. The Buzz seems interesting, but i simply cannot stand using adapters - i'm a 510 guy. i use an adapter on my VP PT, and i can deal with it at home, but no way on the go. i just don't like them at all.
  5. VT Store has eGos still, don't they?
  6. but while you may not want to announce how you help people... i DO want to announce how thankful i am.
  7. but my neck was especially painful. not because it actually "hurt" more (because the inside of my wrists were the worst. both solid black) but because my neck one it is the only tattoo i have where i couldn't see it while they were doing it. i swear it felt like i was getting tattooed on the back of my head. it was like electricity, lol.
  8. neck -flaming heart w/ banner which reads: "Memories" arms before i got kids' names Daughter's name (boys' names - "Gunner & Lincoln" - on inside of arm, no good pic at this time), yes, her middle name IS Danger. as a side note, i got the kids' names the day before the pic (which is why it's kind of foggy and blue looking), and like 2-3 days after the picture i quit smoking. my first PV cane in the mail later this same day. i have a few other tats, but my neck and my kids names are my favorites.
  9. i am currently searching for my next unit, so this is good to hear. thanks for the informative reply!
  10. i thought this would be a good place to post this.... this proves that kitsune really does walk the way that she talks... as some of you may know, i ran into one of the worst situations a vaper can be in (aside from having your only unit die), which is being broke, AND running out of juice at the same time. well... this afternoon a package arrived with some homemade juice and some other juice related goodies, and saved the day! i know for a fact that i would not have been able to hold out until my expected cash came though... so not only did she just go above and beyond to help someone she didn't even know, she very likely saved me from falling off the wagon. not to mention doing so with some AWESOME homemade juice! not only did she helped me in a material way (with actual juice), but also in proving why Vapor Talk is such am amazing place. and all she asked in return: that i pay it forward when someone else is in need. thank you kitsune, and thank you VT!
  11. they only have two, UltraFire Flat Top Unprotected, and the Trustfire Protected ones you used to stock. i assume the UltraFire's you are suggesting are protected ones that they may now stock now?
  12. in a couple weeks i will ordering a new unit and plan to move my Spade to a "back up". however, my three 10440s i got with it back in January (the Trustfire ones - mislabeled 600mah) are beat. i do not know all the little differences between the several brands of brands of 10440s just need to know what the best protected 10440 is, to use the Spade, and where to get then at a good price. i want to get at least 6 of them.
  13. i love big, short haired dogs. i wish i had the property for one (or several) of them.
  14. seems like it would be more likely to go off in your pocket though...
  15. lol. i said the same exact thing when i found this out. i stumbled across it (that same video) by accident about a month or two ago (but have been vaping since september) and the first thing i said was "wow, i wish i had known about this sooner!". there is so much awesome info here that it easy to miss stuff sometimes.
  16. as i said, i did NOT like it on my PT (but i have a VP PT 5v), and yeah, it not quite a "burnt" taste... but it is definitely not good either. but on standard 510 batts, and my Spade, bridge-less is awesome. i ripped the bridge out of all my atties except like 2-3 that i have set aside for my VP PT (which i still removed the wick from). but back on topic, i still clean then exactly the same way. it just seems i don't have to do it as often now.
  17. that is pretty much my though process as well: to not even try the LR atties.. for fear of no being able to return to std atties. but i do think i am going to try the high-drain batts as i heard they "almost" make a regular atty seem like an LR. i am a dripper from day one, so i am really looking forward to trying the cartos and having a convenient was to not drip that doesn't suck (like the standard carts do). but first i must choose a new PV.
  18. have you tried the high drain batteries yet? or cartos? or LR atties? just curious. i really think i might be ordering a VYPR in a couple weeks.
  19. when you watch the video he will constantly say how hard it is to do on camera, but that it is actually easy. it is, it takes like 5-10 seconds each atty. way easier than it looks in the video. plus, this way you can actually SEE the coil (and if it's clean or cruddy). in addition, you can simply LOOK at it to see of it's dry or not. also, atties that you thought were shot, my not be after all (unless they are actually popped, of course).
  20. what about a VYPR with a High Drain Battery? that way it's compact, durable, and packing a little more punch. (i think i am going to pick up a wetbox as a "car unit" regardless of which durable/metal/carry unit i get)
  21. i used to do Everclear soak, but ran out and they don't sell it in Ohio. i turned to boiling and that works just fine, with a dry-burn after. i also recently started removing wicks and bridges and noticed that i rarely have to clean them as the wick (and to some extent the bridge) is what held (or caused) the nasty tasting stuff. HOWEVER, this is only in 3.7 units... it does not taste right in my 5v VP PT, so i just remove the wicks and leave the bridges in those atties. either way, a quick boil cleans them spotless. dry overnight, quick dry-burn before adding juice. ready to go.
  22. well, i am going to stay on topic in the off topic thread. my name is David aka Stirfry, i was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio, and am one of the VERY FEW Clevelanders that LIKE Cleveland. I am divorced, i have a 5 year old daughter, and 2 year old identical twin boys. i'm 37 years old, in my 3rd semester of college (attending college for the first time) majoring in Law Enforcement. i like NASCAR (all series) and stock car racing in general, shooting handguns, watching History, Science, and Discovery Chanels, cover songs and parody songs... ...and i dearly miss Jack Bauer, Battlestar Galactica, and Firefly. here's an awesome Venetian Princess song.
  23. i love Vapor Talk! thread closed.
