  1. LUNG CAPACITY: I'm 79 years old and have been using the E-Cig for only 6 months. During my recent annual physical, the Spirometer test indicated that my lung capacity had almost doubled. Obviously, I'm quite pleased. For exercise, I bicycle every other day for about an hour, but last year's test showed no change so I must attribute my improvement to the E-Cig. HEART RATE: Vapping straight nicotine gives us that "hit" and I had concern about elevated levels when vapping. Using a digital heart monitor, I made numerous tests both before and during heavy hits, finding no significant difference, and on several occasions, a reduced heart rate which, I assume, was the calming effect of mild nicotine use. I use both 16mg and 18mg levels. For further improvement, the doctor recommended that I definitely continue biking inasmuch as the lung sacs that are now being purged require exercising to attain maximum capacity. For those of you who have experienced improved breathing using E-Cigs, I highly recommend regular exercise. I know, it's boring and hard to get into, but it's a lot like substituting E-Cigs for analogs -once into the benefits, you become a little obsessed with it. I'm older than most -if not all- of you and I do it. So can you.

  2. Why oh why can't others just be thrilled for us! We are happy for those who switch from caffenated to decaff coffee/beverages. (an alternative) We are happy for those who switch from regular to diet soda. (an alternative) We are happy for those who switch from ice cream to yogurt. We are happy for those who switch from fried to baked. (think Oprah and her tater chips). Yet, we vapers seem to always run across folks who yell "UMMMM!! She's still eating chips!!!! " Sh'es still drinking coffee!! Those downer type of critical people will forever haunt the happy corridors of life. They are sometimes ignorant, sometimes uninformed, sometimes S&M, .... whatever their particular reason, they have it and it's up to us to smile and say "I'm standing here smiling, because I'm totally okay with you being an idiot". (my favorite quote from Canadian Dirtbaggers).

  4. You will find out eventually a useful tool in your vaping arsenal is a simple paperclip. Especially, if you make a small hook at one end and leave the other end straight. Very good for prying and unclogging, lift adjustments and straightening. I always have one in my eGo case!

  6. I hear ya. Even though I do have one 900mAh eGo type battery setup now, I do like the smaller, more cigarette size style batteries very much. I have several KR808D-1 batteries. That's what I started out with and I am comfortable with. It's especially nice now that I've found out I can get adapters so everything will work with everything else. Check out the 808s here...http://www.myvaporstore.com/KR808D1_E_Cigarette_s/44.htm I have not ordered from them yet, but I will real soon, I've been told by several people they're a good place to order from.

    New to RBA's?

Thank you Uma and mse for taking the time to build this thread. I'm just getting started on researching RBAs, so i'm a long ways away from actually enjoying one, but knew this would be a good place to start. First things first, i think i need to pick a category and run with it. Genny's seem too involved for me at the moment, maybe once i get my feet wet with something else I'll be feeling a little more brave. I like the look and size of the IGO-L, so maybe a dripper would be a good place to start. Anyways, just wanted to say thanks for all the info, and i'm just scratching the surface of everything in this subforum

  8. Ok so the bigger set up seems to come with these 3 different coils heads : 1.8ohm NEW Updated V2.5 Coil Head2.4ohm NEW Updated V2.5 Coil Head2.8ohm NEW Updated V2.5 Coil Head The mini comes with only one (from the same website) which is the 2.4 head. I would most people think this is the best of the 3? Personally I've always thought the LR atomizer and carts performed the best, wondering which ohm head would perform the best?
