Can I Use Organic Wool Fiber Or Yarn In A Cart?

Could I use some of my organic wool yarn or fiber in the cart or no? Just curious

I don't think I would recommend it. Not too sure how it will hold up when heated.

If you need to refill your carts try fluval or blue foam from Petsmart.

Hi, I would also not recommend using a 'natural' fiber in a cartridge. There's probably information somewhere online about what substances will melt at what temp., but an atty will melt the sides of a plastic cartridge. I direct dip or use cartomizers more than filler in a cartridge at this point, but I would suggest either washing to polyfil that is already in the cartridge or purchasing the fluval material. I would use the blue foam but I think the reg. filler is just fine!

Well as a knitter I do know that any acrylic yarn would melt and anything wool would burn, so I don't think these options would work.

Yes it does get quite hot over time and it's really not worth risking burning anything inside your cart.

Cartridges are pretty cheap and last quite some time. You'd be better of just buying new carts. Many members over the year or two have tried different things in carts and none seem to work that well. Remember direct dripping is also another great option
