Money can be a motivator, but not the best motivator. People want the freedom to be the best they can be, to feel they have a purpose beyond a dog and pony show. After all I created this site (among others) that have grown all while I was paid quite well at my day job. Once I'm on the computer I can really let me talent flow without any politics or red tape.
