  1. I wonder if your cardio/vascular system isn't maybe working better and flushing out toxins from smoking. The reason I say that is I notice my sweat stinks more than when I was smoking analogs. Ditto on the water intake. You should pretty much be drinking some fluids all day. And, yeah, the sense of smell returning might be it, too!
  2. Do your rates go up if you are obese? I didn't know that but our insurance company keeps bugging us to do a "free" health screen. They call constantly and send stuff through the mail. My thoughts are that they plan on jacking up the rates to the company based on health profiles. That's just a guess but if it feels wrong, it probably is. We are not obese but I bet they would hold vaping against you. What do you guys think?
  3. I have removed my review of the Prodigy V2 from puresmoker.com. I didn't do it for any other reason than the fact that it did not have the desired result. That is to inform our community and others as consumers that this product was not up to par and I would not recommend buying it based on, not only my personal experience, but on researching the experience of others. I had hoped that puresmoker would step up to the plate and admit that the V2 switch mechanism was not working properly and make every effort to fix the problem. And, that perhaps a simple phone call might make a world of difference in the feelings of a dissatisfied customers. The results, unfortunately, were name calling and a rash of he said, she said posts that serve no purpose except to inflame emotions. People took this "personally" rather than looking at ways to prevent this in the future. I was quite surprised at the personal attacks but more surprised at others who agreed with me. This has been an interesting experience! But I don't see where any of this benifits anyone much less the vaping community or the vendors that we support. We all try to spread the word when a vendor does an above average job and to inform others when a vendor does not meet our expectations. If that elicites such an emotional reaction, then I think we are all in big trouble. I stand by my review of this device and the fact that version 2.1 is being released says to me that there was indeed a problem. I expected a product that worked right out of the box and required no tinkering to operate. I don't think that anyone would find this an unreasonable expectation. All that being said, I hope very much that puresmoker.com is able to prosper and release excellent products in the future. I feel that their hearts are in the right place and, perhaps with some re-engineering, they have to potential to dominate the mod market. I would, however, give them one piece of advice. Perhaps attacking a customer personally is not a good way to do business. We tend to forget, the most tried and true saying in American history: The customer is always right. Doctor J
  4. I use to have one and still have a battery. I don't think I could get anything to fit it except this weird 11mm atty I got from ecig.com (Chinese). Anybody else?
  5. Oops! Didn't read all of Brian's post. Beat me to it!
  6. Just a tip but check out wordupecig.com. There is a some pretty interesting stuff over there! And soon will be more!
  7. I don't have a bullet but people seem to like them. If you are new to vaping, I would say any of the VaprLife products would be a great start. For portability the VP2 is my fav. I have lots of PVs and it's my go-to unit every time. I have a VP-PT passthrough also from VaprLife and it is fantastic! Most of the folks on here have one and you can't go wrong with it either. But if you are ready for high voltage, either the Silver Bullet or Indugence seem to be the only ones that work all that well. Good luck and happy shopping!
  8. I checked the other day and they had the gold ones in. Dang! I really think they look SWEET! But maybe not "macho" enough?
  9. I was just wondering if anybody had gotten an Indulgence besides me and how you like them? After I did the reviews and raved about them, I hoped I didn't just get lucky and get a good one. I would hate to steer you folks wrong. I did pay full price for mine and the product and service were great but I know that doesn't have to always be the case. Anyway, since then I received several emails from the eastmall guy and he promised to send me an Obsession. Can't wait to check that out! In the meantime, I'm going to talk to him about supplying replacement parts. I could see where we might lose the little adapter fittings. Let me know if you guys can think of other replacement parts you think we might need. Just wanted to see who all had gotten one and what you thought of the product and the service.
  10. This is a discussion that has been going on for awhile now. I'll be honest and say I've had bad and good of both. The quality control in China doesn't seem to be that great but neither does the USA. "Handmade" doesn't mean high quality. To have a good product you must have a defined process with a repeatable result. From my experience, the USA makers don't have this or any testing process for that matter. As for customer service, I've found that very much lacking in the USA products. Of course, it's non-existant in the Chinese stuff. But the China stuff is so cheap, most of the vendors will just send you a new one and forget about it. Not so with the USA makers I've dealt with. Plus, the USA stuff is way more expensive to you the consumer. So in my personal opinion, you take your chances either way. Watch all the video reviews on a product you are thinking about buying. We are going to tell you the truth with no bias. That's about the best way to decide.
  11. I don't think there is much you can do to hurt your atty from a cart rather than maybe burn the fiber on the atty coil. Sounds like a cool mod to me! You might want to try the straw mod shown here. My dad is a cart mod freak and has done everything including rolling up a piece of model airplane silk covering and stuffing it in the cart. And his attys seem to last forever! Check on the mod section here and keep on experimenting. If you come up with something cool, add it to the mod section for all of us. Good job!
  12. How about a device that actually WORKS? The Prodigy V2 does not even work at all! Wasted HUGE money on that thing!
  13. My advice: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM PURESMOKER!!! My Prodigy V2 was DOA. I finally got it working and that lasted for about an hour and now it doesn't work at all. I have emailed them repeatedly and was sent to a troubleshooting guide. I just paid over $100 for a device and I'm expected to fix it? I don't think so! I have emailed them over and over now with no reply. Their products, from my experience, are total CRAP! And I'm not the first and only to have this problem. I know personally a person on this board who had the same experience and there have been numerous posts on this site and others with the same problems. I know am the proud owner of a very expensive paper weight! DON'T SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED CASH ON THIS JUNK! My advice? DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM PURESMOKER!!! You want a great, new toy? Buy the Indulgence from eastmall.net
  14. I have no personal knowledge of this product but I thought some folks might want to try it if applying for a job: here's the link
  15. Wow, does this make no sense at all or what? OK, our fearless leader has pushed through a health care bill, whether you agree or disagree with it, that is going to overload an already overburdened health care system like never before. There is already a deficit of health care professional in nearly every market in this country. And now these idiots are testing for nic when, just from my personal observation, a large number of health care professionals smoke. Freaking brilliant! Oh, and I don't have any knowledge of beating a nic test but I can tell you from "friends" that beating the, shall we say "performance enhancing medications" test, for athletics isn't that tough. And those tests are way more complex than the standard workplace drug screens. So I'm sure with a bit of research it could be easily done. But my main point is that we don't have enough health care professionals to go around now. Can you imagine how bad it's going to be when all the hospitals start testing for smokers?
  16. I'm a coder. I was just being lazy and trying to pass the buck! Anyway, I'll see what I can cook up for you.
  17. Or when you get that shiny new PV in the mail!
  18. I guess everybody noticed our quit meters crapped out. Anybody know how hard it would be to whip up a VT version?
  19. About once a year I get heart palpatations (little heart flutters). I think I've narrowed it down to an alergy to the pollen since it's the same time every year. My cardiologist has checked it out and says there is no danger at all which is a relief! However, this year, I've noticed vaping seems to make it much worse. Has anybody experienced heart flutters from vaping too much?
  20. OK, I'm not "that" kind of doctor but I do know enough to call BS on this one. I can't believe an MD would say something like that! Number 1, the flu (and cold for that matter) are a virus. The reason you get over a flu or cold is that your body develops anti-bodies to the virus. The virus is still in your body and will be there until you die and maybe even a good while after that! Number 2, nicotine will kill damn near anything, including you. A virus wouldn't stand a chance against even a low concentration of nic. Plus, as it was mentioned, PG is a potentent anti-germacide. So what's really happening is that your are having a relapse because your immune system is just having a tough time dealing with this particular virus. You may also be getting secondary infections because your immune system is trying to fight off the virus instead of killing bacteria. Basically, it sounds like you are really run-down. Like I said, I'm not an MD doctor but from experience you could try beta glucan (from the health food store), vitamin C (dissolve it in some VG and vape it), lots of water, and rest, rest, rest. And the reason we don't like to vape when we are sick is because the PG dries out your mucus membranes and makes you feel like crap. Anyway, I'm not saying we shouldn't clean our carts. It's probably a good idea since God knows what type crap collects on them from the air, carpet, fingers, whatever. But as for you condition, I would put money on the fact it has nothing to do with the carts. Hope this helps and get well soon!
  21. I'm sure the guy meant no harm by the video. He was just trying to be funny. He just doesn't understand the struggle we are going through to keep these things available to those of us already hooked on the drug. I left a nice comment inviting him to join us here so we can explain the problem with the video. He looks like a pretty "civil disobediance" type of dude, so maybe we can win him over!
  22. Take heart, stillcrazy. I had the exact same experience. I got a cold and for some reason prefered analogs. My wife still smokes so I have an analog every once in awhile. Usually in the morning or after a really huge meal. I don't look at it as the end of the world. Let's face it, even if you cut way down on analogs, you are still doing better than before. Honestly, I don't see vaping as quiting smoking. Just a way to make it safer in the long haul. But for grins, just try this: pick a day when you have some stress free time and try to quit analogs and vaping. Just go one day with as little of either as you can. Go to movies, sleep, whatever. Then get up the next day and start vaping only. That seems to work for me. Good luck and keep us posted!
  23. I've never cleaned them that way but it's a great way to clear one if you over drip.
  24. I use a regular 510 on my VP-PT almost exclusively and I haven't had any burnt taste. Now I do not use any of the "flavored" juices and stick to mostly tobacco flavors so that may be the difference. On the HV mods, even the tobacco flavors tend to taste burnt. The HV atomizers seem to bring it down to the "sweet spot" when vaping at 6v. Just my opinion anyway!
