  1. My button is deteriorating too. Unfortunately, it's the only PV I have at the moment I've had this thing for about 2 weeks I think, and the button is so tempermental that it only works if I push in at a different angle every time, and then it only stays on if I increase pressure gradually while I use it. This is a great little device, but it just needs to be made to withstand more abuse. Can't wait for DeWalt to start making PVs
  2. Part 2: 100%VG 18mg Cinnamon Bun: Has almost no smell, just a rumor of sweet cinnamon. Has a slight waxy tone, with a subtle, warm, cinnamon aftertaste. It isn't what I thought it would be. Leaves a cinnamon roll phantom smell in your sinuses. Not offensive at all. It has an epic vapor plume. Score: Smell=8, Taste=6, Vapor Production=10, Throat Hit=6. Grade: C Crumb Cake: Smells the same as Cinnamon Bun, only a little stronger. Taste is pretty much the same, too, only with less cinnamon and more wax. Again with the epic vapor plume. Seems like they used this as a base for Cinnamon Bun and just added a drop of cinnamon . Score: Smell=9, Taste=5, Vapor Production=10, Throat Hit=6. Grade: C English Toffee: Smells like a watered down version of the chocolate fudge brownie. Tastes almost the same, with a little burning sensation like alcohol. There's hardly any flavor to it and no aftertaste. The vapor plume is very good. This might be good to mix with the chocolate fudge brownie to get the full flavor as well as the great vapor plume. On it's own, though, it doesn't perform very well. Prominent wax taste. Smell lingers in the room. Score: Smell=7, Taste=7, Vapor Production=10, Throat Hit=5. Grade: D+ ***Seems as though I have passed out for a few minutes, probably from a combination of nic buzz and blowing through my attys to clean them out. In the future, I won't be as anxious to run through so many flavors so quickly *** Orange Cream: Smell is n/a (took it outside to see if the toffee was overpowering, still no smell). Taste is also n/a (tried it on both attys). All I can taste is the slight wax that seems to be part of most of the flavors, and of course the blandness of VG. Maybe I got a bad batch, but the bottle is pretty dark... Score: Smell=n/a, Taste=4, Vapor Production=9, Throat Hit=6. Grade: F Peaches & Cream: Smell is a light version of the Harbo gummy smell. Taste is faint Harbo gummy with a slight wax tinge. Not much going on with this one. That strange taste/smell may be the cream, but I definitely don't taste peaches. Score: Smell=7, Taste=5, Vapor Production=9, Throat Hit=6. Grade: D+ Pomegranate: This has a similar gummy smell, but with a tone of berry. The taste starts bland, exhales as Harbo gummy, and finishes as a nice pomegranate juice flavor, although it has notes of cranberry/blueberry. Overall taste is like a watered down Kool-Aid pomegranate flavor. Not too bad (First VG I've actually liked). Score: Smell=8, Taste=8, Vapor Production=10, Throat Hit=8. Grade: B+ Strawberry Cheesecake: Smells almost like strawberry flavoring, but more synthetic, and very light. There is a somewhat strawberry-like flavor, but what stands out is the wax. There is no cheesecake there is only Zuul. This is an improvement from the blueberry cheesecake, but not by much. Score: Smell=7, Taste=6, Vapor Production=10, Throat Hit=7. Grade: C Vanilla Butternut: Can't quite pick up what the smell is, but I don't get vanilla. Maybe some butter in there. There seems to be a faint taste of something, like a cookie dough extract flavor, but it only shows up some of the time. The rest of the vape is wax. Vapor has absolutely no smell. Liquid is very dark. Vapor production is low unless I get the atty really hot. This might be one of those hi volt liquids. Score: Smell=6, Taste=7, Vapor Production=7, Throat Hit=6. Grade: D Watermelon: Smells like LorAnn watermelon. Tastes like LorAnn watermelon cut with too much VG and wax. If you don't know what LorAnn watermelon tastes/smells like, it smells like watermelon jolly rancher and tastes like watermelon perfume. Smells great on exhale. Much better TH and VP than the rest of the VG line. Score: Smell=9, Taste=7, Vapor Production=10, Throat Hit=9. Grade: B+ (But I still don't like it ) Apple Smoke: Smells like a drop of apple flavor in an ounce of liquid smoke. Tastes like hickory wood, not so much smoke. There is no inhale flavor, and a rumor of apple flavor at the finish, like the hickory wood was mixed with apple tree wood. I was expecting a savory smoke, but this just kinda has a plant taste. Has a great hickory smell on exhale. I can tell this flavor is concealing the wax/VG taste. Score: Smell=9, Taste=7, Vapor Production=8, Throat Hit=7. Grade: C+ (Not what I was expecting, might be better in PG or at higher voltage) Part 3: 70% PG/30% VG 18mg Pineapple: Smells like pineapple LifeSavers. Tastes like a pineapple LifeSaver. I'm really happy with this one, especially after vaping the 100%VG stuff. It's not sour like real pineapples, but you can tell that it's a pineapple flavor. The VG still gives it a very small waxy tinge in the aftertaste, but I'm sure it would clear up if you got this in straight PG. That 30% VG does, however, produce a decent vapor plume. I just wish this flavor would stick around in my mouth a little longer, as there is no aftertaste. Score: Smell=9, Taste=9, Vapor Production=9, Throat Hit=9. Grade: A- Raspberry: Smells sweet, fruity, and light, but not raspberry. Tastes like raspberry tea. Great light flavor for a hot day. This is not a fresh fruit. It's like a watered down version, with no tartness. It's good, but not quite what you'd expect. Has a little bit of a smell on exhale, but it's pleasant. The wax taste is so faint you probably wouldn't notice it unless you were trying to. Score: Smell=8, Taste=8, Vapor Production=9, Throat Hit=8. Grade: B+ So there you have it! I'd recommend trying your own versions of the mix, but the VG seems to kill off the flavor (as most people describe), and for some reason there is a strange wax flavor to many of these juices, even those that are 100%PG. The wax is something to be improved, but it is preferable to the Dekang perfume crap that I'm used to. Hope this paints a good picture for you!
  3. Let me start out by qualifying this review. All my juices are tested on a cleaned 302 with my Joye Stick v3 (3.7v). They are single flavor, standard throat hit; no special mixtures. These flavors may perform differently with different equipment. They most certainly will be different on someone else's tongue. My expectation of these flavors is that I can taste them without significant effort. If it takes me too long to recognize what I'm tasting, it will not pass. A passing grade is a D-, but a recommendation will only come with a C or better. Let's begin. Part 1: 100% PG, 18mg Apple Pie: Smells pleasantly sweet, but not strong enough to detect anything specific, which is great. The taste is excellent. Apple syrup/filling on the inhale, cinnamon crumb pie crust on the exhale. Leaves a slight wax aftertaste. Score: Smell=10, Taste=8, Vapor Production=7, Throat Hit=7. Grade: B Apricot: Tastes and smells more like peach. Apricots tend to have a fermented smell, this does not have that. It is a candy flavor, more sweet than fruit. Leaves more of that waxy aftertaste. It doesn't seem to mix well with the PG. Score: Smell=7, Taste=6, Vapor Production=6, Throat Hit=7. Grade: D Banana Cream: Smells just like banana Laffy Taffy, but very light. Inhale taste is sweet and nondescript, exhale is 100% banana Runts candy. Excellent job on the flavor. Also produces more vapor than the first two. No waxy aftertaste. Score: Smell=10, Taste=9, Vapor Production=9, Throat Hit=8. Grade: A- Blackberry Italian Cream Soda: Smells of blackberry cobbler. Taste on inhale is blackberry syrup, exhale is a solid artificial gummy-cola (Allaboutthevapor does a video review on this, he describes this flavor as "Harbo Gummy", which is pretty much spot-on). It's a unique flavor, but pleasant. Leaves no waxy aftertaste. Reminds me of a candy shop. *Extra Credit for overall performance* Score: Smell=9, Taste=9, Vapor Production=7, Throat Hit=8. Grade: A- Blueberry Cheesecake: Smells like a weird variation of blueberry cheesecake; very faint. Taste is nondescript, sweet, slightly fruity, and very waxy. This was a HUGE disappointment . You could vape this frequently but you just wouldn't give it a specific name. It's not blueberry cheesecake at all, but at the same time it doesn't offend in any way. Score: Smell=8, Taste=5, Vapor Production=6, Throat Hit=6. Grade: D Bubble Gum: Smells like a Dubble Bubble! Inhale taste is pure bubble gum goodness. Exhale is similar, aftertaste is the strongest, being the first chomp into that hard, dry Dubble Bubble that you just unwrapped. The waxy taste is hidden in there somewhere, but it actually compliments the flavor. *Extra Credit for overall performance* Score: Smell=10, Taste=10, Vapor Production=8, Throat Hit=8. Grade: A Chocolate Fudge Brownie: Smells excellent, like Yoohoo mixed with chocolate scented markers. Taste on inhale is a little chocolatey, and exhale re-establishes the smell as a taste. There is a funky perfume taste on the finish. Seems like there are some kinks to be worked out in vapor translation. The overall flavor is a very artificial chocolate, so don't expect to actually taste a brownie or anything resembling it. But... it's still pretty good! Seems to be one of those vapors that come out during draw, but absorbs completely in the lungs and does not produce a plume. Good for stealth vaping, but the smell might draw some attention. Score: Smell=8, Taste=7, Vapor Production=4, Throat Hit=6. Grade: C In my next review, I'll go through the 10 VG items, and the 2 mixed(70PG/30VG) items. It will include one of the smoke-tobacco flavors.
  4. Sounds tasty! PG/VG? And how much w/ shipping?
  5. Cool stories! My family was mostly OK with the idea when I proposed it, but my dad called it a "gimmick" and said I could only quit with willpower, the way he did. I tried to tell him that what may work for him may not work for me (it didn't on several occasions), but he was still not receptive to the idea. So I bought it anyway My aunt was in town the day it arrived and she was totally excited about it. She works in the medical field too so she was interested in all the technical details. That enthusiasm was very good for my self esteem. I used it at my dad's house a few days later and he quickly came around. He apparently thought it was something else My friends have been very supportive, and my one remaining smoker friend has tried it but is still waiting for me to work out all the kinks before he tries it out for himself
  6. I'm single but I keep seeing a lot of people talking about their spouse's preference for this/that juice/atty/etc. I'd like to know what their reactions and thoughts were when you first started vaping; did you start together, did one convince the other, does one still smoke, did only one smoke-now vapes... If you're single, maybe share your roommate/friends' reactions or those of your family Just thought it would be nice to compare stories! (sorry if there's already a thread like this)
  7. Thanks for the feedback. I didn't get the package today but I'll probably make 2 reviews, since half of them are 100%PG and the other are 100%VG. Should be up by the weekend
  8. I'm expecting a shipment of liquids from VikingVapor tomorrow, and I'd like to post a review in the e liquid review section. The only trouble is........ I GOT 19 FLAVORS!@#@!$@#@ How can I form a good review of each flavor in one post without it becoming an encyclopedia? Most of my stuff tends to drag on and on as you may have noticed...
  9. No. What kind of juice are you vaping?
  10. The insurance rates are another matter. You can't force employees to take blood tests to check cholesterol levels, even though LDL can cause hypertension, stroke, CHF, etc. Are companies going to require their employees to eat an approved diet too? Are they going to require them to take antihyperlipidemics? Smoking is definitely a choice, but so is eating junk food that's high in cholesterol. Again, what is the difference here? And yes, insurance rates do increase if one is obese.
  11. Terrible product, terrible shipping time, terrible customer service, very high prices, and doesn't live up to their warranty. I just received a $50 paypal payment for a refund, of which I was expecting about $150+ for a $230 initial payment. They gave no explanation of how they arrived at the number. As you know from my other posts, I complain about this company A LOT. Well, there's a reason! Don't buy from them.
  12. ::EDIT:: The tip I was using came in the box, but did not have the white part that contains the filling, so I took one of the MLB carts and removed the filling and used that for the tip instead. This is obviously what I was supposed to use in the first place lol sorry
  13. Great product! This tiny little device looks like a garage door opener or a Zoolander sized cellphone, yet it produces the perfect amount of vapor and lasts a long time! It's really sexy too. I just got it this afternoon and I threw one battery on the charger and just plugged in the v3 to the computer to charge the other one, and started vaping right away (ya it doubles as a passthrough!!!). I got a little scared when it wasn't doing much and tasted a little weird, but then I remembered reading about "breaking in" the atty, so I just puffed away and in about a half hour everything started to fall into place. The manual battery is a breath of fresh...vapor...compared to that e-cig.com peice of junk that I started with. This is my first mod and my first time dripping (the other model I had used only cartomizers), and I really prefer this over the other junk. The LED is pretty cool too, white to blue and red when charging. I just like everything about this little gizmo, and I'd recommend it to noobs to start out. VaporGalaxy also had much cheaper adapters for the different atomizers, about half the price of Joye website. I'll be trying the 510 atty next and maybe updating the review. The only thing I can see that could be improved is the mouthpeice being a little bit loose on the atty, (302 I think), but a 2-inch peice of teflon tape fixed that little glitch right up! So, before you spend over $200 on e-cig.com's inferior models, and have to pay up the wazoo for shipping (and wait more than a week for delivery), try out the Joye Stick; I got my kit for $62!!!
  14. I just read Thornsoftime's review and it's pretty much exactly the same as mine Anyways, thanks Luke for the great customer service, I got my package this morning and everything is fantastic. My only regret is not making you my first supplier! Couldn't find a v3, then I stumbled on Luke's site and he was there to answer all my noob questions, and his prices were about $30 less than I was going to spend on another site, which was out of stock! I ordered very late at night and he was around to help me, then he shipped next day (tuesday) and I got a confirmation e-mail right away, tracked it for a couple days and it came in today (thursday). He even chipped in to make the shipping express, what a great guy! I expected the package to take longer, since it had to go about 3500 miles Anywayz, A+ Five stars ***** Thanks Luke!
  15. Caffeine is a little more dangerous than you might think. It's very similar to nicotine and is a mind altering substance. Caffeine and nicotine withdrawal have almost identical symptoms. Caffeine overdose is not as dangerous as nicotine overdose, but both can be fatal. I remember doing a research paper on mind altering substances, and most sources actually cited caffeine as the biggest problem drug in modern society. (More people addicted to caffeine than opiates, methamphetamine, alcohol, and crack combined) So back on topic, if they are going to test for nicotine it would only be fair that they test for caffeine too... especially with surgeons as both drugs can cause tremors and inhibit motor function. This would be utterly ridiculous, however, since you cannot go into ANY hospital and not see a coffee pot/vending machine/soda machine. The hypocrites that established the nicotine policy would be quick to dismiss it if a caffeine screening policy were suggested or implemented. Even when I smoked real cigarettes I thought smoking should be banned from hospitals, restaurants, and schools, out of consideration for non-smokers' health. Smoking in your own home and abstaining while you are on those properties is every bit your right, and an employer has no business telling you otherwise. I mean, if you went to these people's house and watched their every move, you would find that they probably consume alcohol, watch dirty movies, bake cookies in the nude, w/e... and they have every right to do that, as long as it's in their house. What makes using nicotine different?
