From looking at the pics of the new batteries, they look to be the size of the normal 510 batteries with the atomizer on. So prob a good half inch longer. Certainly great they are making longer lasting batteries, now the 510 will not only kick a** in vapor but also have a good battery life on the new ones.

Just curious, is Dr. Siegel a member of vapor talk ? Maybe someone should drop him a line to come sign up :P

No link atm, I check way too much info on e-cigs daily and didn't think to bookmark the site I had looked at it on Ok went thru all my links and found it, surprisingly it was you Chris that gave me the link. See this; PM already has one patent close to an ecig (vaporizer)... BTW the patent 7400940 looks to be a renewal of a patent they had from 1998 so certainly does look like PM is pulling their old idea of a personal vaporizer out of the dusty closet now that the concept has a large enough following for it to be worth it to them. This also looks to put them as the oldest patent holder for the personal vaporizer specifically designed for smoking cessation. I really do smell a monopoly in the works. "In 1998" Philip Morris is testing its own high-tech cigarette called Accord, which has been described as a cigarette encased in a kazoo-shaped lighter. Consumers buy a $40 kit that includes a battery charger, a puff-activated lighter that holds the cigarette, and a carton of special cigarettes. To smoke the cigarettes, a smoker sucks on the kazoolike box. A microchip senses the puff and sends a burst of heat to the cigarette. The process gives the smoker one drag and does not create ashes or smoke. An illuminated display shows the number of puffs remaining, and the batteries must be recharged after every pack. It's unclear whether smokers will find the low-smoke and -ash benefits desirable enough to justify learning an entirely new smoking ritual. Although Philip Morris doesn't make health claims about Accord, the company in 1998 told the Society of Toxicology that Accord generated 83 percent fewer toxins than a regular cigarette.

100% agree with the whole thing being a scare tactic. FDA likes to be completely vague, no real documentation presented and what they do go on about they never bother to compare to analogs or give statistics on so called findings. Also find it really funny PM has a patent for a personal vaporizer and looks to be pushing for a ban the most. Anyone smell a monopoly plan in the works to corner the e-cig market by pushing for a ban then releasing their own model with the fda backing them and hugely inflated prices for cartridges while not allowing the sale of liquid? With everything the fda does, it pushes me more and more into thinking about how they might have let e-cigs go unchecked for a while on purpose to get knowledge of them out and see how they do in the market then to ban them, followed by then releasing their own approved version to rake in the dough on a product they know will flop or not.

Based on those findings, the FDA expressed grave concern over the safety of the product - which is being used by thousands of smokers, literally hundreds of whom have testified that it is more effective than NRT in helping them to stay off cigarettes - and essentially banned the marketing of the product, even threatening criminal action against those who market or sell e-cigarettes. At the same time that the FDA made a big hullabaloo over the finding of traces of carcinogens in electronic cigarette cartridges, the FDA hid from the public the fact that it would be nearly impossible not to have detected these carcinogens in the cartridges because the nicotine is derived from tobacco and there are residual traces of carcinogens even in nicotine replacement products. Moreover, the FDA also hid from the public the fact that conventional cigarettes contain and result in human exposure to diethylene glycol, not to mention the fact that they also deliver extremely high exposure to more than 40 different carcinogens, just a few of which are tobacco-specific nitrosamines. While there is a theoretical risk posed by the diethylene glycol (DEG), it is not clear how high the level of DEG is in the vapor produced by the electronic cigarette and thus the dose delivered to the user is unclear. It is also not clear whether the DEG is present in just this one cartridge or whether the problem is more widespread. Thus, there is no clear evidence that e-cigarettes pose any harm. What is clear, however, from the FDA testing, is that electronic cigarettes are essentially confirmed as being far, far safer than conventional cigarettes. Thus, the FDA's decision to ban the much safer electronic cigarettes while approving the deadly conventional ones, is nonsensical.

Wish I could read the article, seems their servers are currently under maintenance. So I can blame my old smoking habit on tomatoes eh ? Use to eat them all the time then moved and hardly ate them anymore but instead got into smoking. Drat I shoulda known those tomatoes were to blame :P

Still looks to be tobacco free, couldn't find anything aside from them adding a tobacco aroma to the vapor. Did notice according to the filters they contain the tobacco solution (E-liquid) and aroma equivalent to one regular cigarette. Sounds kinda stupid for one cartridge to equal one cigarette.

Tiramisu, though could just mix a few liquids to make it I guess :P

Anyone tried out the flat tip cartridges for the 510? whistle style tip that is found on the DSE901. Was wondering what people thought of them before I went and ordered a bunch.

I love the bananna from wet your stick. It has a nice kick to it and been mixing it with my coffee from Totally-wicked. TW's coffee is great but needed more of a bite to it on throat hit and that bananna sure did the trick. Mmmmmm bananna coffee

A little side info on cleaning the atomizer. I noticed on my 510 that it would get part of the stuffing from the cartridge stuck in it and was hard to really see it stuck down near the heating coil. But did notice lower vapor and a nasty flavor so fooled around with it and found out with a small nail file that has a curved tip I could gently pull the stuffing out of the atomizer then use a tweezer to get it out. Pulled a bunch of the junk out and my atomizer started acting like new. No more nasty taste and put out full vapor again. Plus I didn't have to worry about killing it. I'd guess if you didn't pull the stuffing that got stuck out but instead just tried boiling it, you'd end up killing it. So before going the boiling or solution cleaning route, take out a light, and look closely to see if its gunked up. Just be gentle and don't accidentally hit the heating filament. Half tempted to make a video of how to clean out atomizers of the gunk. Seems to be the best thing I've found with mine so far.

Banana from Wet your stick has a really big kick to it, currently mixing it with my coffee liquid to bump up the kick of the coffee I got from Totally wicked. Plus a banana coffee just tastes good

Speaking of labeling, TW did a great job with labeling their liquid. Love the fact it lists everything in it and in what percentage. Though the big skull and bones poison symbol on the side was disturbing

Yeah I could see some dumba** overdoing it and OD'ing, I always make sure to tell the people I convert the proper way to go about vaping and to treat it with respect. Any substance in the wrong quantities can be lethal and should never be mishandled. Guess bigger worry would be someone with little kids leaving a bottle out. Kids nowadays will drink just about anything if it has a sweet smell to it. But that also comes down to responsibility. Never leave bottles out or in areas a kid can get into. On a side note, got the management of Foxwoods resort casino interested in the E-cigs. Guess a lot of my newly converted coworkers pointed me out as the culprit and they wanted to ask me about them. Maybe I can convert the management haha.

I personally vape the 36mg liquid, when first tried the e-cigs with the 24mg I didn't see much effect. The removal of 36mg really bothers me and if they were to even remove the 24mg as well I could see the transition for some from analogs being nearly impossible.
