  1. Had to drive to York, PA to attend my first vape meet yesterday (Kudos to the White Rose Vapers Club - Southern PA.). It was a blast! But as much as my wife and I enjoyed the company and the meal (shout out to The Cobblestone Restaurant), I don't see why we can't have something organized in good ole Charm City. Not much at organizing events, but I would certainly support any event planned for the area. Let's get this started!
  2. The rubber is peeling off both my eGo batteries too. It's a good thing I'm not fastidious about how it looks. As long as the batteries continue to perform as well as they have, I don't give it any more thought then, "Hmmm...interesting..." Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  3. I know this is probably redundant, but I recommend the Joye eGo too. Recently switched to the eGo after struggling with small battery devices for 2 years. I was astonished at how well the eGo performed. Reliable...stylish...low maintenance...couldn't be more satisfied. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  4. Ditto what's already been said concerning the difficulty of matching the flavor of an analog. But being a longtime Newport smoker, I've recently found and have become quite impressed with the selection of various menthols offered by Halo (http://www..com/). Perhaps you can find an acceptable menthol flavor there. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  5. I dunno...I think there's room for compromise here. It's not like you have to blow clouds of vapor. You get your "fix", the "establishment" doesn't have to deal with someone who appears to be smoking. Everybody's happy. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  6. I'm delighted with the leather lanyard I just purchased from litcig. I didn't spend a lot so I didn't expect a lot. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality craftsmanship. Real leather...who woulda' guessed...? Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  7. Shoot...that's NOTHING compared to the brain cells I've lost over the years searching frantically for matches, lighters, misplaced packs and where I left burning cigarettes. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  8. The eGo battery is flat on the end, so that makes it very easy to sit it on any flat surface. The thing is, I use it too often to sit it down and I dread the inevitability that when I do sit it down I'll forget where I sit it! I anxiously await my lanyard. Draped around my neck, I'll be free of concern over where to put it and it'll always be available to use. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  9. Amazing how easy it is to pick up the smoking habit again. What wasn't so easy for me was smelling cigarette smoke in my clothes and in the car (I'd never noticed it prior to vaping.) And my basement, where I lounge, started to smell funky again. You know...that stale cigarette smell? What was worse was the reaction of my co-workers. As much as they kidded me about my electronic toy (one woman has nicknamed me "007"), they were horrified when they discovered I was smoking again. I felt like a walking ashtray. I hope things work out for you so that you can manage to accept vaping permanently. (One can only do the best that one can at any given time, so do be kind to yourself...)
  10. Yeah, I briefly returned to smoking after 2 years of vaping. It seems like after the novelty wore off I was left with the continuing frustration of getting a reliable vape from my pv. The batteries were so inconsistent. None of them held a charge for long (if they charged at all), so I was juggling 5...6...7 batteries a day. That and the carts and the batting and the juice leaks and the....ARRRGHHHH! Near the end there I was just sucking on dead batteries, not even bothering to charge them anymore. I threw in the towel. I started vaping again when my local convenience store began selling e-cigs. It was alright for awhile but I was soon faced with the same frustration that caused me to initially stop. Was about to quit again when I stumbled upon a Facebook ad for the eGo. Up to then I had never even considered trying another style e-cig. (I'm loyal to a fault when it comes to certain things.) So I decided to take a chance...turns out the eGo was what I expected from an e-cig from the beginning. I've used it everyday now for 2 months and it hasn't failed me yet, so it looks like I'm back for good.
  11. I just thought of something battery related that vapers may be interested in. One of the minor inconveniences we have in this electronic age is the ongoing need to charge our portable devices. With that in mind I invested in a portable charger so I'm never without a power source. Heck, I could probably use a passthrough off it, but I don't own one. Something to think about at least.
  12. I dunno...considering the fact that I used to haul around 5 or 6 Njoy Npro batteries daily, the 2 650 eGo batteries I use now are like a godsend. Sometimes they last me 8-10 hours, sometimes I don't switch until sometime the next day. The point is, it's really no big deal to carry one spare battery with you. Between the 2 batteries, you're covered for the entire day! You just have to remember to fully charge the one you're not using so it's available when you need it.
  13. I, too, use an eGo so I won't elaborate anymore on that. I just wanted to share an observation about wanting vapes to taste like the cigarettes we leave behind. For a period of time I became dissatisfied with the performance of my equipment (which eventually drove me to trying the eGo.) I became so frustrated that I briefly gave up vaping and went back to cigarettes. You can guess what I discovered. Cigarettes taste nasty. But our addiction to nicotine encourages us to smoke anyway until our tastebuds are deadened and we no longer notice how nasty it is. I doubt very seriously that you'll find an e-cig that will mimic that nastiness. What you may find are some tobacco flavored juices that you'll find acceptable and may even grow to love. Personally, I don't miss the tobacco flavor; just the menthol I'd grown accustomed to, since I was a menthol cigarette smoker. I'm grateful that I was able to find an acceptable substitute... ...without the nastiness.
  14. Halo seems to specialize in menthol. I haven't tried all three brands, but the Menthol Ice is cool and refreshing. In fact, it's the first juice I've been loyal to since I started vaping. I'd highly recommend giving them a try. http://www..com/
  15. I fall asleep with my eGo in my hand. I believe most people new to vaping are confronted with the question of "how much". Quite unlike a cigarette where there's an automatic cut-off with the cigarette burning out. It bothered me for a while, but eventually I didn't think about it anymore. I vape when I feel like vaping. It's something you'll get used to over time.
