  1. Nothing dumb about finding out something new. The dumb part would be to never learn anything at all. I, for one applaud your effort!
  2. Also, as a side note, the lower the ohms (resistance), the hotter the atty gets. So, theoretically, a low resistance atomizer at 3.7 volts his a hotter and, someone can correct me if I'm wrong, thicker vape and/or harder the throat hit (depending on your juice). I personally don't really like a LR atty because it gets too hot for my taste and I feel like I am hotboxing a cigarette. I believe a general rule is 2.0 - 2.5 is close to a typical cartomizer. I use 3.0 cartomizers and like the mellowness of it, but that's my opinion.
  3. I emailed Nick (Grimm) about the Flux, pretty sure it was already in his line up but he had a video up a week later. I'll be buying some pretty soon. They look pretty cool and anything to make using carts (tubes?). They don't look like the CE2s, as in it seems like you don't need a syringe to fill it. I'm kinda stoked and want to order now, but I've reached my quota a vape stuff for awhile. Soon. but never soon enough!
  4. Besides hating filling them with a syringe, how did they work?
  5. I may be ordering some soon if I can get this DIY e juice stuff working well. Hopefully someone will have a reply by then.
  6. I've been trying to figure out which FA or Loranne's flavors are mixed at 5%, 10%, 15%, etc. Any suggestions?
  7. Tank eGo "Sank"? Did it not work out for you? I was looking into getting one of those, but I haven't seen a great deal of AWESOMENESS come from people. Like the CE2s it seems like it is a hit or miss thing. Was your experience a miss?
  8. I've been using the same 2 kr808 cartos every day for at least two weeks. I just top them off in the morning and throw them in my pocket. I haven't changed my current carto in several days. Topping off is the way to go. I just built a AA 3.7 box mod. A small bottle and I should be go for a whole day!
  9. Thanks for the info. I figured if I want to go 808s I'll just buy the adapter. Seems more versatile. The 808s are great for just hiding in my pocket and sneaking for a quick stealth vape. I think I like the 510s better than the 808s. The cartomizers seem a little more, I don't know, stable?? Dripping is great for testing juice. I'm going to start making my juices soon and dripping seems like the way to go to test them out. I agree with Juliery that I don't think I could drip all day. Thanks for all the info guys. I appreciate it.
  10. Picked up a regular atty and I like dripping a lot more with it. Lots of juices seemed to go really fast with the LR atty. The regular atty gives a nice smooth taste that I enjoy. I smoked lights for years and never really cared for the heavier smokes. Dripping directly on the bridge makes a difference too I learned.
  11. It's been a couple of weeks since I posted here and since then I've started the DIY Juice and Modding. I'm going to start building my first box mod tonight, hopefully. I think I may mix up a few concoctions also. . . Oh, the joys of something new. I should start dating again. . . wait, my wife wouldn't like that. I'll stick to vaping.
  12. Hey Vapemiles, I'd be interested to see how that works for you. Switching to kr808 carts to 510 carts (and dripping some) has been pretty good for me. I like the 3 ohm carts. The LR attys I have are a little hot for my taste and seems to go through juice pretty quickly. You might enjoy the cartos. I know a lot of people hate them, but the 510s, imo, are pretty good. I like dripping, but for me I think a regular atty would be better. Glad to have you here.
  13. Well, with several people PMing me, I think I figured it out. I like it. I may agree with Jolly though, dripping every few puffs may get a little old, but it is nice to get up in the morning or get home from work and choose my flavor without having to fill a cart, find a filled cart, toot an empty cart, or otherwise goof around. I like dripping now that I've had some time to work with it and some great advice. Thanks guys.
  14. AWESOME. What flavors did you get? Do they work with the standard Attys and batteries. Wow, this stuff sounds pretty cool.
  15. My next atty will be standard res. I may be looking at the 3ohm ones like the carts I have. I like the cooler feeling. I don't like it when it gets so hot it feels like hotboxing a cig.
  16. I use the Riva at home and take the KR808 with me to work and the car. I have to stealth vape at work so it's not a good idea to have the huge cloud of vapor and the air sucking noise! I'm thinking of ditching the KR808 because the 510s seem so much nicer to use. I have a hard time telling when I killed a cart or if it just needs to be cleaned with the 808. The 808s also have a hole (nonsealed) so I have to take my cart off to fill it or risk killing the battery. I'm digging the dripping and like the 510 cartomizers. I don't think that I'll be using the carts any time soon. I totally agree with you and the KR808s in public. It's easier to explain and looks less like paraphernalia.
  17. Thanks AimeeG. I think atties is probably the correct way. I struggled with that too! In any case, you were right. I wasn't starting with enough juice. After some trial and error these atties seem to like between 5-6 drops. There is a little gurgling for a second, but no burnt taste. The Riva batteries are 750mAh and seem to be working fine. I think I'll give it a try again today when my tastebuds are back to neutral. Someone recommended I use base VG or PG to dilute/clean. He said to fill the atty up. Blow it out and then I'd be good to go. I think I'll pick some up and give that a try. It should be enough to dilute or get rid of the flavoring when I change juices right? Thanks again.
  18. Thanks for the reply. I have a bunch of carts for the kr808, but maybe I'll just save them for a rainy day. I'm kind of diggin' the 3.0ohm carts for the Riva. Is there any reason, other than having a bunch of carts, to use kr808s with the ego?
  19. Hey I'll take a copy of those emails. I've been talking with some of my coworkers about making the switch. They don't want to put in any time or effort into learning anything new. One of them just said, "let me use yours." I was like that's not going to happen. She then said, "I'll give you money and you just buy it for me." Well, I don't really want that responsibility because then I'll feel bad if she doesn't like it. I get this, maybe devilish feeling that I should have her buy some of the prefilled carts and give them to me when she is done with them instead of throwing them away. Would that be bad??? I don't know but I've spent the hours searching for the "good deal" that is simple enough for her to just take and use without any kind of a learning curve. But back to my point: If you have premade instructions that you spent some time on, send them out. I'd be happy to have a copy to show my friends that I'm trying to sponsor!! In Laws can be a blessing and a curse and I know the feeling of spending a bunch of time on something only to have it go to waste. I'll be happy to reap and use your valuable information. Post it. And good luck. When they ask you what type of car to buy, come down with a cold and go home!!
  20. Do you sell Kosher batteries and Attys? I read on the interthingy about Kosher batteries were the best thing since sliced pizza, however I can't eat pizza because it doesn't create the vapors and wasn't blessed by a blind prophet. Can you help me create my own store so I can be in direct competition with you? Where do you get all of your vapers supplies and can you give me a discount on the blue insulation that I stuff into the USB through on my passport? Good luck with your life (hear clicking of a gun in the background . . . ) Too funny!
  21. Anyone try one of the GotVapes FLüXomizer™ Cartomizer? Seems like an advanced CE2 (I think that's right). They look really cool but I've only seen one review of them. Clear, fillerless, XL, sounds pretty interesting. Anyone try it yet?
  22. Okay, so I've been reading the forums for several weeks. I've been vaping with a KR808 for over half a year and finally quit analogs 5 weeks ago. I got my Riva in the other day and the 3.0ohm carts. There is a world of difference between the Riva and the KR808 slim batteries. Now that the intro is out of the way here are my thoughts about dripping: 1. I got LR atty's (think I ordered them by mistake - I don't like the HOTBOX feeling) 2. I watched the videos about dripping and read for hours on the forums. 3. My attys came in today and I was so excited. I checked for a wick and these were already wickless. 4. I dropped in two drops of some juicyvapor Wake-n-vape that I've been using every morning for awhile. 5. Tasted burnt. I took several toots off of it and it still kinda tasted like a dry KR808. 6. Dropped in some other juice. Same burnt taste. I tried each juice in a 510 carto and it tasted fine. I've dropped and vaped right away. I've dropped and waited 10 minutes or so. The tobacco sample I got from LF w/ the attys isn't bad the first toot or two, but again, I can still have a faint burnt taste to it. Maybe I burned the atty before I started or is this a bad atty and I should open another one? Maybe the LR attys are just not right for me, but I was so excited to try dripping that I'm now pretty disappointed. Am I doing something wrong? I never tasted any primer and I blew out the atty, flooded it (eventually). Blew it out again and it heats up and vaps like a dragon, but everything tastes burnt. Any suggestions? I hope it's not the atty because I have 4 more. I was soooo excited about dripping and getting a break from the ups and down consitency of the KR808s that this has been a pretty big let down for me. Any help would be great.
  23. And nobody commented on getting juiced by a camel? First thing that came to my mind was, "Ya, camels always spit".
  24. I would have been really surprised to hear that LF would have created your problem. My first order with them they forgot the drip tip. I called them up and they offered to send it out. It would have probably cost more in shipping then in product but they had no hesitation about doing it. Glad to hear it is on its way. Love the "Sponsor" title. I'm at becoming a sponsor as well. "Hello, my name is . . ."
  25. Placed another order yesterday! The espresso is wonderful and the Wake-n-vape is now my favorite.
