  1. I had that problem for awhile when I first started. It seemed like you needed to suck really hard and almost swallow the vapor to get a good hit. Chris has a video somewhere around here. Search for something like "how do you get that huge puff". Your battery may be bad and not drawing enough power. My first e cig did that. I quit because it seemed like too much work. Keep at it though. Congrats on the quitting!
  2. I ordered from LF last Saturday and got the Riva Kit yesterday, (Thursday). The forgot my drip tips, so I called them up. They offered to send them out right away, but I told them to just give me credit towards my next purchase. No use in sending a 3 dollar part that costs 3 dollars to send. I ordered some Attys from them and was able to track them as well. I'm expecting those tomorrow. All my orders came from San Diego. It sounds like something got mixed up somewhere, they seem to be straight up with everything. As far as recommending things, you aren't responsible for a companies error. All accounts that I have read you seem to be the exception rather than the rule. Do you have the tracking info? Give them a call. I had no problem talking to someone at almost 6PM.
  3. I guess I was kind of the odd duck. I started vaping because I can't smoke at work. Hey, I was a smoker before I was a teacher. The brand I got sucked and I quit vaping for about a year. Over the summer My wife and I took a long trip out of town and I knew I couldn't last the 8 hours driving without smoking. So I bought another brand of e-cigs to use in the car. I still smoked for about 5 months only using the e cig when I couldn't smoke. Not knowing the wonderful plethora of all the different kinds of vaping juices and tools, I again, quit using my e cig. Ordering from the company wasn't the best and it was getting expensive to do both. Habit won out for me. On New Years I made it my resolution to quit. On January 2nd I just thought of something my dad said to me a long time ago. "The only way to quit is to never light another one." I put out my last cig and started the patch. The e cig was my backup. Then I learned about the new flavors and juices and filling up my own. I quit the patch and now only vape. The funny thing is, my quiting smoking wasn't really all that hard this time. I just never lit another one, nor do I intend to. I've come to love vaping now. I don't care if I am still addicted to nicotine, I'm healthier and feel better. My family is happier with me and, hopefully after I get over my gotta get new toys and juice fetish, it will be financially better. My point is, just like everyone else, when he is ready the transition is so much easier. I would still smoke (even becoming a closet smoker) if it wasn't for the awesomeness of vaping. I spend too much time reading and playing with my new toys to think about smoking. I'm actually promoting it with some of the other teachers I work with. Good luck and you have a great deal of support here. We all know the Wonderful evils of smoking and can sympathize. The difference is, unlike AA or zealot quitters, we enjoy what we do and hats off to those who quit analogs completely, but if you don't, at least you quit SOME of them. Find a good supplier and juice you like, sit back, and enjoy life. You'll find what works best for your husband and you.
  4. I agree with you juilery. I usually err on the side of caution. I charged the first one last night and the second one all day today. It also says to use for 20 minutes and then charge it again for another hour. That doesn't make sense to me either, but I'll do it. I have one working right now so I'm good to go. I did read somewhere, probably on this forum, that the USB charger on the computer charges faster than the AC adapter. I may be wrong, as this doesn't sound right to me, but I believe that's what was said. Anyone know if this is true or not for the Riva? Ahh, to be able to sit down after a long day and vape a little (I don't vape much at work - I have to hide and take a few puffs when I do), makes the long charge and wait all worth while. yumm. Wake~n~Vape juice is my hero.
  5. Okay, all charged up. I might just be a noob, but the throat hit on this is like the real thing. I actually kinda got light headed after a few hits. I'm using the 3 ohm carts and I like them more than my kr808's already. I'm waiting for my LR atty's to come in - probably today. I've never dripped before so I'm looking forward to it. The only problem is LF forgot to include the drip tips, so I may wait until they come in. Do you need a drip tip? I don't have an empty cart, but doesn't the atty come with a blank I could use? Fun with the Riva!
  6. I just got my Riva today. 8 hours to charge according to the manual. That's like walking by a candy store and being made to sit there and watch them make the candy only to say, "Nope, gotta wait 'till tomorrow." I hate the candy store. . . . . . . Maybe my addies will be in then.
  7. Well, I can totally relate. I've spent several hours a night the last few weeks reading and watching vids. I just joined VT because the people here are really great. I've been going a little overboard (ordering form the same company 2 days later before the original order arrives). I've done that a few times now because I get excited about something and dive in. But, how much money did you spend smoking? Think about not just the smokes, but lighters, new clothes, washing more often, burnt car seats, etc. I think it's money well spent. My wife, who hasn't seen a bill yet, thinks I'm crazy but is more than happy to be around me (and even kiss more often because I don't smell or taste like cigs. No matter what, vaping is better than smoking any day! VT has been awesome in welcoming me and you'll be happy here. I'm sure Chris would be happy to fulfill your vaping needs as well!!
  8. Thanks for the review. Do you use Cartsomizers or an Atty? I have a Riva coming in any day now. I ordered the 510 carts (since I'm using the KR808s right now and familiar with carts). Is there a difference with dripping? I've recently started full time vaping No time analog so I haven't tried a great deal yet. What is a good atty to get to try dripping? Thanks for the help and the review.
  9. Looks like it's been awhile since a last update. Any new news yet on the gels?
  10. Brushed Gold? Got Bling!! I gotta go check that out, it sounds fun. Can you use all KR808 carts with that?
  11. I just ordered my Riva from LF on Saturday. Looks like it shipped today. I'm hoping to be saying the same thing in a day or two!!
  12. I recently ordered from JuicyVapor.com. I ordered from them as my first introduction to filling my own carts. My first order didn't arrive when they offered a great discount (vaporbans discount). I placed a second order before I received the first (got kind of excited about vaping!!) When the first order came, the bag stunk. The Peppermint is very good as were the tobacco flavors I tried. However, the Kona was absolutely horrid. My wife smelled it when she walked in the house and I didn't even open the bottle. The taste was worse than the smell. My second order to JuicyVapor included another Kona because I love the coffee and thought I would love the juice. I called Brad after finding all my emails in my junk filter and tried to change my order. Brad was very fair when he said he thought the Kona smelled like skunk and didn't like selling it. He changed my order without any hesitation to the French Toast (AWESOME BTW). It arrived two days later and he sent a few bottles of the coffee and espresso to try. That made me feel good about ordering from them. I appreciate his honesty about one of his products and he made it right by sending out some 3ml bottles of other flavors to try. I am very happy with the service I got. I would NOT however recommend the Kona flavor. After dumping the bottle (it smelled up my room even in a sealed bottle and sealed plastic bag) the sink smelled for a LONG time. It radiated throughout the house. All the other juices, so far, have been good and I will order from them again. Cheers Brad.
  13. Thanks for the reply. I use the KR808's right now and my RiVa (Ego) is in the mail. I got taken with the MLM, but at least it introduced me to the world of vaping (a year later). I've been smoke free for over a month now and am excited about actually not smelling. I was just wondering if these InLife things were good for anything. The battery still works, the charger works, and I even filled an old cart. Tasted aweful, but it vaped after being in a drawer for over a year. If it is the 801, I may try a few things. Hate to just throw something away if it can be used. But at the same time, I don't see the need to really bring it back to life either. Thanks for the info.
  14. I'm pretty sure I read this somewhere on this forum, but I don't remember. If it is already listed I apologize (been reading of ton of forums lately). The Ego, Tornado, and the RiVa are all the same correct? So my kr808 can be adapted to them? That would be interesting.
  15. I just ordered the RiVa and it says it comes with a larger cone to use with the carts, so I don't know if the original cone would fit them. I'll be getting mine sometime this week.
  16. About a year and a half ago my Doctor recommended an In-Life 3 piece. Being ignorant to the world of E Cigs I bought it and gave him his kick back. I don't know what the InLife is, a pen style maybe? but I still have the battery and charger. Anyone know anything about these? Are the Batteries good for anything? The Atty is probably shot, although I tried to add some juice to it the other day just to see what would happen. UGGGG. Bad idea.
  17. I've never really had throat issues, but I've had the headaches from certain pre-filled carts. I get something like an "air bubble" in my chest some times. . . Maybe I'm just weird. Anyone else have that?
  18. As somewhat of a newbie, this was helpful. Thanks
