  1. Darn! A twinkie thief. Probably selling stolen twinkies, black market moon pies and hot ho-hos all over Colorado.
  2. I purchased a 30 ml of their caramel tobacco and a sampler (5- 10 mls)of various tobacco flavors. Right off the bat the caramel smelled and tasted great. After 3 days it took on what I can only describe as a vinegar aroma and aftertaste to it. Put it up for a week, giving it a shake or two everyday, and now it's back to what it was when I first got it. As far as the other tobacco samplers (if you call 10 mls a sample. Everywhere else that is called an order)I have, They all have benefited from a week of resting and being shook up daily. NOne of these juices knocked my socks off but every one is, at the very least, quite vapable. My 5 sample juices were clove, cherry tobacco, robacco, ry4 and DK tab. My least fave is the ry4. It has a "floral" taste to it that I don't care for, but maybe after sitting for a while. The DK is..???..I don't know. It vapes, I don't puke, so what the heck. It will sit a while also. The clove has a good tobacco flavor and not too "clovey" even with the extra flavor option.(all of these have extra flavor btw). The cherry is pretty good also and the robacco really shined. It earned the right to be a 30 ml. order next time. Yeah...next time. I will order from bluemist again because their juice may not be on par with some other vendors, but it still is pretty good and the prices can't be beat. The 5 pack sampler at 10 mls each was $20, and the 30 ml was $10. They also offer something like 160 mls for $30 and hopefully I can find 1 that will be worthy of that order someday. Oh yeah, they threw in two 3 ml samples with my order. Forget what they were but still, that is such a simple, very inexpensive thing to do that makes customers very happy when they open their package. Those 2 small bottles probably cost them less than a quarter but made me happy. all in all my experience with bluemist was positive.
  3. I didn't know I had twinkie options. Best to send both. also I hear the best way to keep them from getting smooshed in transit is to pack them surrounded by bottles of juice.....and cash.. . I'll be at the mailbox waiting .
  4. Thanks for all your kind words. although the pain is great, knowing that the twins are coming surely helps. It's amazing how the vaping community stands together. Um....about the juice/cash/twinkies...??????
  5. My first begotten battery (can't tell if she's Joye or Ego, as they look so much alike) passed tonight. It wasn't totally unexpected as she had not been feeling well as of late. Weird charging light blinks...sub-par performance (which for her was odd because she always gave it 110% ), not holding a charge..etc... Although not unexpected, it doesn't make the loss any less painful. A "battopsy" is scheduled for tomorrow and the family has requested that in lieu of flowers, that the entire vaping community sends juice. Lots of juice. 10 mls. would probably be o.k. but considering what a great old batt. she was, I'm sure you will probably want to send quantities in the range of 30-40-50+. On a happier side note, when I informed her cousin Riva about Joyes/Egos passing, she made plans to come visit next week...and bring her twin also. Family ROCKS! Your thoughts and prayers (and juice) are greatly appreciated. P.S....If juice shopping in this trying time is just to hard, the family will also accept cash...and checks...and money orders...jewelry...non-traceable items of any sort...twinkies, yeah...that's the ticket.
  6. #26..line cutters...aaarrrgh... 30 minute commute and my blood sugar goes from good to "oh my god" from the stress of dealing with..."can'tputmyphonedowneatingandputtingonmakeup...idontsignalbecausei'mbetterthanyou...3inchesisenoughformetoforcemywayin..." you get the idea. I go out of my way to "screw" that jerk/jerkette that blows by everyone else who had the common courtesy to get in the proper lane.....d$%^&t...there goes my blood sugar again. Friday nite...a rare weekend off and I just had to read and think about this post. Now I'm jonsein to go out and make some idiot go to the next exit because of his/her lack of consideration for others. If you don't hear from me in an hour, start scrounging up bail money. I'm on a mission.
  7. Imagine me saying this in my best Cris Tucker voice....nearly screaming and pointing both of my index fingers at my temples..........." I do not understand the words that are coming out of your mouth"....GOD...it sucks to get old. Man, you might have well as been speaking vermaklineese for what I took out of that. Care to help an old dude out and explain what all of that was????
  8. was in Louisville Ky. this past weekend and vaping like a nic. addicted chimp in my hotel room when the alarms went off. Turns out it wasn't me...kitchen fire, but freaked momentarily especially after initialing the portion of my check-in paperwork that stated there was a $250 fee for smoking in your room. Was totally ready to deny all culpability, but was very relieved that it turned out that it was only that the building was on fire!!!
  9. The local law enforcement types in my community just added a new "crime" to their books. It's called "attricide" and apparently I'm the leading offender. My picture at the local five and dime and at the feed and grain hang-out. Try as I might, I am an attys worst enemy. It's very disheartening. I follow all the rules but seem to kill them left and right. Your thoughts and prayers are welcome. ....Thank you......that is all......
  10. You bet, and I hope you don't hear back from me for a very long time..lol.
  11. Thanks for the info. I had read somewhere that the weak points were at the ends of the cord (at the usb and at the passthru) and thought I might try to be smart and reinforce those 2 areas to avoid a problem. Somewhat disheartening to hear that they don't seem to have much of a lifespan, but I'm still really stoked to try a 5 volt. Unfortunately the mailperson stiffed me today ( I have mental pictures of her sitting @ home hitting on my pt ), and we have had crap weather today and even worse is expected for the next 2. Hope that neither rain nor sleet etc...oh well, still have the ego to fall back on. Thanks again.
  12. Anyway...reinforceing (sp) each end with elec tape....good idea or waste of time???
  13. Thanks Uma....I'm stoked about the 5 volt....love my EGO, literally changed my life (analog free ), but now I want something...more...probably on my way to a vv, but need to test the waters along the way. LOL..I guess I inherited this "frugality" gene from my dad....you know...we just don't jump into things willy-nilly...got to look around and make sure we're doing the right..smart..thing..no hurry...it will still be there tomorrow. Money doesn't grow on trees etc....Dad was a funny guy but he always (at least according to him) found the best deal. Who knows...maybe he did. Anyway...just biding my time waiting to "5 volt it". Thanks for the reply.
  14. But I have taken a "plunge", in that I have a 5 volt pt. set to arrive (hopefully) tomorrow. Have some 3.2/3.5 cartos, 2 amp wall adapter and 2 amp car charger coming along with this. Have some 2.5ish attys already, so to hold costs down and make the cfo (wife) happy...(well ..at least bearable...lifelong non-smoker and she does not get this vaping thing at all) I didn't order any higher voltage attys, but have read numerous posts of folks using these at 5 volts with no problems and even if they tank I have already pretty much used and abused them for all they are worth. So.. I guess I'm looking for some heads-up on what to expect....what to do or more importantly what NOT to my new pt..Have read that the weak points are at each end of the cable so thought I might fortify those 2 areas with elec. tape??? Yes?? Don't bother?? Also what kind of life expectancy should I be hoping to get out of this? (don't know if this matters, but ordered all of this from madvapes). Thanks in advance, you guys on this forum are the best..that's why I check out this forum about 8 times a day.
  15. There will be 2 in the mail for ya after I cash it in.
  16. Absolutely. Thanks and I appreciate it. The paper clip up the middle is something I had done on an ornery standard cart that I had after reading one of your posts, and the deeper I get into vaping I am starting to be of the opinion that the less you do to any piece of hardware (atty..carto..etc.....} the better.
  17. Well...everything you said seems to be what I'm doing so far so maybe I'm on the right track here. Yeah.. I know that for a buck and some change that you just toss them, but acheiving longevity is just part of the game and half the fun isn't it? Moot point anyway because I just bought the winning lottery ticket so this time next week I'll be using a new atty every hour and will be using a newest and "bestest" pv every day. Thanks for the reply.
  18. Alright man...enlighten me. Got my boge lr cartos yesterday and so far I'm pretty impressed. Reg. cartos just...suck...and I really like the lr attys but apparently they don't like me because no matter how careful I am, and no matter how much I baby them I just kill attys left and right. So..I really think these are going to work for me if I don't start doing boneheaded things with them. Contrary to what my wife may have told you, I'm not a total dumba.. so I'm up on the initial filling of these and obviously know not to let them run dry, but was wondering a few things, if you wouldn't mind a little advice. Do you treat these like an atty in that you "fire" it up momentarily before actually "hitting" it or will that put undo stress on it? What kind of draw do you put on these...2...3..6.seconds. I don't want to overheat or burn anything up. How often do you top it off? It's pretty obvious when the top layer of filler becomes dry, but don't want to "overfill" either. As far as cleaning what do you recommend? I am just really tired of shelling out $6 or $7 for an atty that may go to hell on me at any moment and am really hoping that this continues to work as good as it has so far. You would think with all the technology we have it this world that someone could come up with an atty that doesn't sh-t the bed in a day for no real reason. Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated....thanks in advance.
  19. Just came back in from the garage after having the first analog that I've had in 18 days. No real overwhelming urge to have one...just wanted to try one of my ryo drummies after so long. In the last 18 days I've NOT HAD about 700+ drummies that I would have normally had, and I don't feel like I cheated or relapsed or fell off the wagon, just felt like reconnecting with an "old friend". It wasn't totally unpleasant, but it wasn't as nice as a tasty vape with a good liquid. Some throat burn, plugged up the sinuses pretty good, didn't smell real good and it was pretty cold out there, but I still enjoyed it a bit. Not going to beat myself up for having that one because in the grand scheme of things I am light years away from where I was 4-6 weeks ago.
  20. seems like a good price if they are a decent atty, but I'm totally unfamiliar with these. Anybody here ever use these or have any info on these?
  21. Very sorry for you as I had a similar problem. I got my ego kit right before thanksgiving and right from the start I didn't feel my batterys were behaving properly. the charger seemed to work fine in that when I plugged it in the light on the battery end would be green and when I would screw the battery on it would flash like it should ( the battery would flash like 5 times or so ) and the battery end of the charging cable would turn from green to red. Then I would wait....and wait...and wait, sometimes for as long as 24 hours without the light ever turning green to indicate a full charge. The batterys were getting a charge, a trickle charge, and would function for maybe 3 or 4 hours and die. I tried everything that everybody suggested to try with no luck. Finally decided that I would get a new rapid charge cable and wall adapter (unfortunately I was right at the warranty limit on the charger..should have acted sooner ) and if that didn't work I was going to order a new 900 mah batt. and when it arrived was going to send in my 2 original batts. and have them checked out. New cable and wall adapter arrived and right off the bat I had a good feeling because when I put the cable into the wall adapter there was a "click" that I didn't have with my original cable and adapter. The original cable just slid in..no click or feeling that it had seated itself. Hour and a half later I had my first full charge. I guess my recommendation would be to try the charger first and do it before the warranty is up. Chris and vapor talk have been awesome to me with the issues I had right at the beginning and I'm sure he will assist you the same way. Hope that helped a little bit and good luck. I know how frustrating it is when the equipment isn't working and you're just wanting to get your vape on and keep off the analogs.
  22. Alright...done whining for the day. Just put on my big boy pants..hand crafted a vanilla mocha latte..grabbed my bottle of midnight and I am going to enjoy the few remaining flickers of life on this battery, and hopefully my other battery will pull a lazurus and join me shortly....It has been 6 hours so he should be about there. CHEERS!
  23. Right now I'm looking at 6-8 hours to charge my 650. Kinda disappointing, and I know this is not the norm, but hey, that's where I'm at. This morning hit with just my 24mg. to get my nic. fix...about 20 minutes on a "fully" charged battery..and did hit it pretty good but it took nearly 4 hours to recover the battery from that. Oh well...I know I need to get a backup so I can continue on and then send the batteries and charger back in for inspection. Plus I really need some more attys...and juice...and....etc..etc...etc......
  24. Do you all find that it charges quicker on the computer or the wall charger? LOL..been 1 week and I just need to get my vape on... and can't do that till I get my charge on. I probably wouldn't really care one way or the other normally, but for the first time in like 35 years I have gone 3 days without a cigarette and now it's kind of personal. (I have never been able to go 1 day without a smoke in the past, and I am finding this to be so remarkable that I just can't believe it). oh well....it will shake out one way or the other. In a perfect world I would just go to the VT store and go nuts, but my cfo(wife) and daughter hit "black friday" with a passion. Near as I can determine, it might be mac and cheese and peanut butter for a while.....But we're looking good on the holiday gift buying front. By the way...if anyone has a handful of atty's just collecting dust and wants to purge...just send them my way. My bad.. not ordering more but really thought up front that cartos would be my go to option and that dripping would be my last option, but after like 5 days I thought that I would check out this DD thing and WOW....cartos so far have been a BIG disappointment, and yes they aren't LR which I feel I owe it to myself to check out, but with my battery issues right now LR isn't an option. Anyway, as always, you guys on this forum have been so helpful....thank you.
