I wish I ran the tfv8 on the rx more so it's more matchy matchy with that drip tip, but the cuboid for whatever reason limits the watts when I run the centurion on it. I just picked up some SS so I'll be making a new build later today and try to run the centurion on the cuboid in TC and see if that works...

  2. X2 on the smok kit with baby beast. I'm looking to pick that setup up here soon. The tfv8 is a great tank too, but like all my other flavor chasing cloud making tanks, coils just don't seem to last. I had high hopes for the tfv8,but alas I'm burning thru coils every other day it seems. I have 2 triforce tanks and the tfv8 blows them away for both flavor and production but the coils have the same short lifespan. I had a tfv4 and traded it off because of short coil life. I can't speak to the coil life on the baby beast, I can't see myself using it much as it's too small for my chain vaping self.

I've tried changing juices up, still short coil life. I maitre mine with the puff counters, which kinda sucks cause one tank trends to ride the same mod all the time. Lol

But I've accepted this as vape life. My tanks drink juice, but flavor is what I'm after.

  3. So I had the good fortune of acquiring these 3 flavors, so I figured I'd pass on my thoughts.

I used my rx 2/3 with a 2 post centurion (likely clone) RDA with some fancy wrapped flat coils (can't remember the specs) made of Stainless steel.

Adam's apple was the favorite, but not by much, it just barely edged King of churn. The flavor was fantastic, good mix of apple and watermelon, by smell you would figure to get a strong flavor of green apple, but that doesn't come thru flavor wise, it's nice and balanced.

King of churn came in 2nd (think butterscotch). Flavor was fantastic, well balanced, it was just all around yummy. The only reason Adams apple edged this one was the aftertaste. It wasn't offputting, but it was odd. It had the perfect level of sweetness for butterscotch.

Crown Jewels came in 3rd, I started this one, had to put it down for a few days, and come back to it. The flavor profile states it's sweet and tart. Now in all fairness I had tried another juice (local source) that had the same flavor profile, and had the same effects, so it could just be my tongue. I just couldn't get with the flavor, it struck me as either dishsoap, or potpourri. I did warm to it by the end of the bottle, but it was an acquired taste. I'm not saying it was a bad flavor, but just not my thing.

At the end of the day, I suggest trying them! They were well packaged, labels could be read, and the dripper was flawlessly functional. The mix is good at 35pg/65vg, which put plenty of flavor on the palate, and no shortage of vapor production. The nic level was slightly higher than what I vape daily, so I got quite the nic buzz on it, but thats not a bad thing really for me. lol And the price compared to others is a deal!

  4. I've also found that the rda doesn't like my juice mix. I run 20pg/80vg for my tanks but found flavor and production to be lacking when running that mix in the dripper. But it loves the 35/65 mix of the vapor tall black label juice, so I picked up some 40/60 today and it loves that too.

Not much temp control about this one more an rda thing, but something no one ever told me. Lol

  5. Here's the fancy coil I've been rocking. This Saturday my local vape shop has a guy coming in that makes custom drip tips and soothe guy that builds wicked coils. I had planned on going in to get a drip tip or 2, but I think I'm going to have the coil guy make me a build.

And I might have to grab me another set of 14449034_10202082875508873_4988126971011these

  6. So threw good money after bad trying to get temp control to work for me. I had honestly gave up. All the nickel premade coils for my triforce tanks were always wonky, to get them to even hit right I always had to adjust my tcr settings on my mods. My cuboid was the only one I could get the nickel coils to work with, without jakking the tcr, but I still was unimpressed.

I now know what the buzz was about. In my opinion, the only real use for temp control is when you're using a rda. Last Friday I picked up a 30mm (likely clone) cci centurion, Saturday I picked up some fancy fused clapton possibly staple coils. (I can't remember exactly other than they are made with stainless) and with my sample vapor talk black label juice, I decided to kick the rx 2/3 into temp control mode. NO MORE DRY HITS! In wattage mode when you get low on juice you'll cook your cotton and get the dreaded dry hit. In temp control, you won't do this as it senses the coil heating up too quickly and won't let it fully dry the cotton out. I'm sold on it now. I know not alot of folks here are rocking rda's, but I wasted alot of time and money on the temp control tank coils. I'm not saying without some work (finding the tcr settings to make it happy) it won't work, but what I've found is it's most effective and useful on rda's.

Any others with experience chime in, I'm down to learn more.

  7. What wattage are you running? I've found myself running the tfv8 at a slightly higher wattage than 'normal' for me, but only get a hot vape if I crank it way up. Think 120+. About 80w gives me a warm vape with plenty of flavor.

That being said, expect some inconsistency in the coils. This isn't limited to smok, I think kanger is the most consistent, but every other premade coils I've used haven't been real consistent.

OK Tam I know I am seriously behind times but would you please break down what all the initials stand for and what the difference is please? And since you know my likes so well which do you think I should invest in next? Thank you. And Christopher thank you for asking that question. Its a great way to see what is the best on the shelves right now.

I've seen the wide Bore tips online but how do they vape differently then regular tips?

I think wide bore is a relative term... examples: Not so wide bore... left sub tank mini. right herakles plus.14333103_10202067974016345_4060767013668

Far right is waaaaaay wide bore, but I'd consider all of these wide bore.

Please pardon my messy nightstand. Left to right the 'wide bore ones are triforce 30mm, velocity rda, triforce 22mm, tfv8, and the monster is a centurion RDA.

    RDA- rebuldable drip atomizer

RBA- rebuildable base atomizer (tank vs drip)

Basically for either you build your own coils or buy some and wick it (actually put the cotton thru the coils) yourself.

I love the name Squonker every time I see it lol

Right? I kinda want to get the Kanger dripbox 160 just to have a less messy rda... Oh and Chris, so far I've killed about half the adams apple so far today thru the centurion, it was also local vape shop approved, it was well liked! I can't wait to try the others!

  9. Well, my ol lady runs a cleito, and herakles, those both work well, solid flavor, decent vapor production, she runs a cuboid (good solid device, I have one too and they've been our primary rigs for awhile) we messed with tc as well and I threw good money after bad trying to make it work right, I found that just running VW was far more satisfying, isn't as much of a drain on batteries, (ramping up temp) and just overall better.

I've decided I'm apparently a closet cloud chaser. I don't buy things with clouds in mind, it's always flavor, but the things I seem to buy are the big producers. I have 2 triforce tanks and they are both great, coils seem a little short lived to me, but I average just under 2k puffs before I'm swapping them out. Flavor is excellent, and production is way up there. That being said, I just got the tfv8, the included 8 coil head was great for flavor and production, and lasted 1800 puffs, I swapped it out for the 4 coil head, and it didn't make it to 1k. (I had similar issues with tfv4 coil life, far too short) I picked up some 6 coil heads yesterday locally after getting a deal on them, so we'll see how far they go. I just put one in this morning. I have yet to try the rba, but I'm looking forward to that. HOWEVER this tank is impressive. Even with the short coil life, it's a crave killer, I get a somehow more satisfying vape off it than my triforces that I love. Triforces are more airy, tfv8 is more vapory if that makes sense.

Mod wise, you can't go wrong with any version of the rx200, if thats too big, and you're looking for something smaller, consider the rx 2/3 or cuboid, I've been extremely pleased with my cuboid, and it's taken some abuse with the 30mm tank on it and going to work with me daily. The rx 2/3 I just got has impressed me I do love the flexibility to make it more compact with 2 batteries if I want or when my married set of 3 are charging. Of course all these will do 200+ watts, although I can't figure why anyone would want to go that high, but at least there is plenty of headroom there.

I typically run in the 50-65 watt range with my triforces, and the tfv8 seems to be happy in the 60 up range, I've been finding myself landing on 80 watts the most, and it's far more pleasant than what I've experienced at 80 watts on any other tank.

Allllllll that being said, I did also just pick up a 30mm centurion rda. I love the added flavor you get off rda's but my luck with them hasn't been the best, I started with a clone, one of the posts started free spinning, then I got what was supposed to be an authentic velocity, but it freaking leaks like a siv. I stumbled into a decent deal on this centurion (which is waaaay overkill for me I'm sure) but I have hope, I'll be going by one of my local shops today to get the premade coils I bought put in correctly and I'll be dripping some black label vapor talk juice immediately after getting it going. Assuming the mail person doesn't find a way to lose it before it gets here. (big thanks Chris! It's currently out for delivery here local)

So um, yeah, theres my long rambly .02 :)

  10. Are there any rubber o-rings involved? I'm not familiar with this particular tank, but BOTH of my triforces had little rubber gaskets that go between the coil and the chimney, and until you replaced those with the spare they provided in the kit, it would leak, but they haven't since, at least until a coil goes bad and then I get leakage.

I just got a tfv8 and it pukes a bit at every re-fill. Even with closing off the airflow. it's nominal, but beings it's sitting on top of my brand new rx 2/3 it's aggravating because I'm trying to keep it pristine. (we'll see how long that lasts, cause that will mean I can't take it to work.)

  11. I have 3 chargers that are constantly running, the only one I let run overnight is the nitecored4, usually when I'm charging my 3 18650's for the rx's. It charges 2 batteries fairly quickly, but it takes about 6 hours to charge my married set of 3.

I'll be getting more batteries soon and plan to get another d4 charger or something similar/better if possible. I've got some batteries that are going on 6 months old now and I'm not sure how long they last but my other triple set got downgraded to a pair because one quit taking/holding a charge. I only get the hg2's anymore. I've had excellent luck with those. I've got a couple of samsung 25r's that are the oldest ones I've got and they are still going strong, but the mah on them isn't 3k, so the browines win. lol

Sorry if this is completely off topic, but I had to put my .02 in.

  12. So it's been awhile I thought I'd drop some info I've acquired over the last few months...

Still love my cuboid, but recently started running into a 510 problem... I don't want to tear it apart and all the quick fixes online said put a business card under your tank to act as a spacer, I found a better solution, and made a video about it.

About the time I was having that issue, I decided to pull the trigger on a new setup... I ponied up and went thru vapenw.com (thanks to the guys up here that clued me into that site!) and got the rx 2/3 and tfv8.

You'll remember my old threads about the tfv4 and coils not lasting long, so I hope this is better. Gotta say so far I'm impressed. I'm still running the pre-installed coil (I want to say it's the octuple but could be wrong, my mind is a bit scattered as it's been a really bad week and a half) and have no complaints, it's knocking on 1k puffs and still going strong. I'm not in it for the clouds but for flavor and so far it slays it on both fronts. I love my triforce's and this is every bit as good. (so far) Now if they would just make a 30mm version I'd ****** that up. lol

rx 2/3, well I'm in love. My cuboid is quite jealous. I love that you can put your own logo on the screen. Solid upgrade to the rx200.

Anyhow hope all is well with ya'all! In the last week and a half here I've had my plumbing go tango uniform, and replaced it all myself, (I don't recommend, playing in poo pipe is not fun) my house ac fan motor crap out, my window unit ac for my bedroom puke water all over the new carpet, the hot water tank blow up, the honduh break down, then to top it off the honduh was stolen last night. (bye bye 1k worth of work I had just done to it)

Anyhow if nothing else if there is anyone considering the rx200s or rx 2/3 go for it. If you liked the rx200, you'll love the 200s and 2/3
