  1. Have a Kayfun Lite clone that I got when I first moved to RBA's a while back.

Always had a very tight draw ( no Air Flow Control ) and the thing was always leaking.

Put it in the drawer and bought another Kayfun with AFC.

Today, I finally got around to checking out the air hole since I have enough back-ups, no harm if I screw up.

Long story shortened, after disassembling it, inserted a 1mm rod through the air hole and hit a blockage.

Removed the burr, and now draws like a champ and because I don't have to pull so hard, no leaks.

It is now back in the line up.

Getting around to it after 7 months is pretty good for me...

  2. A while back, I purchased some 6mg to use in my RDA that was the same flavor I normally put in my RTA's.
Now 6 is what I'm using for everything.

My goal is to completely quit vaping also.

Want to be completely free from batteries, juice, RTA's, RDA's, etc.

Just want to walk out of the house without wondering, in the back of my mind, if I have enough stuff 'just in case'...

  3. Now that the celebrating is over and FT is up and running, needed to get some replacement parts for my gear.

Ordered a couple of Bell caps for the kayfuns.
A spare parts kit for the kayfun, with center pin, insulators, screws, etc.
Couple of replacement PC tanks for the kayfun mini.
PMMA nano kit for the Kayfuns.
Top cap for the kayfun 3.1 that you use to top fill.

Not bad for around 20 bucks. Nothing needed urgently, so can wait.

  4. For Mech Mods, seems that most companies are now offering their mods as
a single use ( such as 18650 mode only or 18350 mode only ) and doing away
with the locking rings, recessing the buttons more.

Saw the parts breakdown on the Kayfun V4 and realized I don't have a big enough
build station for all those parts, lol.

  5. From what I know about Kayfuns, the type makes a difference in how you troubleshoot problems.

I know I wick my lite, lite V2, 3.1 or the Russian differently.

After you check that the O-rings are good and in place, seems the amount of air flow to the deck has something to do with it.

I draw very slow, mouth to lung pulls on the 3.1 and lite with more cotton wicking because they have a fixed, non-adjustable air flow; and can pull a little quicker and harder on the lite V2 and Russian with less cotton.

( affects the amount of juice is pulled up the channels )

This is just how I control juice coming out air hole.

    Slow, easy pulls.

    Hope this helps.

  6. Since I have 3 kayfun mini's now, ( inherited one )
I put one to use as a full time dripper.

Do a standard coil build you like, probably not a sub-ohm one,
thread through some cotton and leave the tails longer than usual.
( I leave about 1/2 inch above the top of the section )

    IMAG0409.jpg

You screw the top section ( metal short one ) directly on to the base.

I also remove the chimney seal from under the top cap to increase air flow.
No chimney is used or needed.

Tuck the wick tails down to block the juice channels.
Open the air adjustment way open.

    IMAG0413.jpg

Put 6 to 8 drops in to wet the wick, and you got yourself a great little
15mm dripper that fits an ego battery.
( or its a 2ml tank system or a 6ml tank, all in one purchase! )

Finished work on a ego battery and a Nemesis in 18350 mode for comparison.

    Are we having Fun yet...

  7. Know what you mean about waiting to rebuild due to hands that have a mind of their own.

My first attempt at rebuilding came on a Kayfun Mini which has a very, very small deck to work with. ( What was I thinking...)

Took some 32ga wire and wrapped 5 wraps around a 1.5mm mini screwdriver bit. Getting the cotton through was the hardest part for some reason.

Now I buy the pre-coiled micro coils, 50 in a pack for 3 bucks, and these old beat up hands get some rest.

They work great in my regular Kayfun and Russian.

More than one way to get the job done.

  8. Reprogramming is important.

For me, the reason patches, gum, etc never worked is my mind
needed to see that 'cloud' of something come out.

    Mind turns off switch, resets.

Coming up on 11 months without one; and this coming from 45 years of
    smoking.

When I started with 24mg nic, went through juice like crazy.
    It worked. I quit.
Now I use less than half that and at lower nic.

The Journey is the fun part.

A good Attitude is the Key, and that you have.

  9. Thanks for the relies.

My go to is either a kayfun lite or my Russian 91. ( another Russian is on the way ).

Just wondering likes or dislikes from owners of this attie.

I will be using it mainly in the tank mode.

Price is right, so guess I'll just give it a go.

  10. Anyone have experience with this RDA/RTA ?

Know I'm late to the party, and did a search but couldn't really come up
    with anything.

Seems that with the narrow chimney section and deck design, might be a device I might enjoy.

  11. A plug for my local library, which has both ebooks and audiobooks for loan.

With my library card, I can download either for 21 days and it just
    'goes away'. No returning.

Check if your local has this service.
( also a couple of other services are magazines and get to download 7 mp3 songs a week that are yours to keep )
