Done. I hope it helps.... with something!

I tried on my last few analogs to count how many puffs there were.... couldn't do it! But this helps me, too!

What Is The Best Low Resistance Cartomizer?
AimeeG replied to asmcriminal's topic in New Vapers Forum
I got mine here. Although, that won't help you much right now because it says they are out of stock. But I do like them, they've gone through several refills and still taste good. I need to clean them when my order comes in (maybe I got the last of them before they were out of stock... again, sorry). -
Ah, the wonderfully versatile dremmel tool! And since cones are relatively cheap, if I screw it up, it wont be so bad! I'll see if I can borrow one from someone and drill out a nice design. Then I'll post a pic and let you all see how it turned out. Since I rarely use it, it won't be a big deal if I screw it up before I get a new one.

So, I want to do some mixing. I want to wean down the nic to 0mg and just have some for evening use. I've found some good suppliers, but I'm surprised at this PEG400 stuff. I don't see it in any premixed liquids. I understand PG and VG and like a 50/50 approach on premixed. Anyone know of news about PEG400? Or used it in mixing? Thanks!

I love my eGo. Wish I could use it while I work but that's not feasible because I'm a teacher. I couldn't smoke analogs in front of them either, so it's no big deal. Here's the thing: I love the way the eGo looks with the cone on it. I don't love how I don't get a great draw from it with it on, though, even if I am using LR cartomizers. What I'm wondering is if anyone knows of a place that carries cones with designs in it, like from CNC machine. That way the cone could go on and look cool but also have holes in it with a nice design in order to get the good draw/pull that I like when the cone's not on. Links would be appreciated. Thanks!

So I ordered some more stuff last weekend and it came in late week. Not an issue as I had enough from my original eGo order. I ordered LR cartomizers and am using one right now, and, DANG!, what a difference! I can use the cone over it and still get a good draw and still have the eGo look sweet. Lots of vapor, great taste (yup, my taste buds are waking up!), and the pleasure of the condom fill method. Plus, it doesn't get that too hot to the touch issue. I also ordered some DIY flavors but not to really DIY (yet!). The flavors I originally received did not have a high enough concentration of flavor, so I thought adding just a few drops would help. Amazing difference! Coffee and vanilla now tastes like coffee and vanilla. I also have orange cream, orange clove, and cherry. Wow, do they perk up the boring American Spirit bottle! And with the LR carto, it is perfect. Then on to the drip tip and the new atomizers. The atomizers are great, no difficulty there, not even much of break in time with that nasty taste. The drip tip, on the other hand, seems to be a bit of a pain. The rubber gasket is a bit too thick to actually fit on the atty. Maybe it takes a little while for it to shrink down as you use it and force it onto the atty? I had some leakage with this. I really wanted to like this for around the house and trying out new flavors. The cone gets really hot as I vape with it too. Anyway, thank you all for the wonderful posts about these items as I never would have ventured to try them without first having an idea of what they did. You all rock!

I found that by not replacing the inner "cap" (the one with two holes that's a pain to get out the first time), I got better vapor and better flavor. I do not like, however, how warm/hot they get near the battery connection.

Carts, Cartomizers And Dripping......
AimeeG replied to kitsune's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Ok, so I use cartos. I love the condom filling method. I start with 20 drops, then after about an hour, have to put more in, usually 10 at that point. I also find that I get juiced a lot. Thankfully, I'm using only 11mg juice. I could be filling it too often? Or maybe I don't know when it is the right time to add more? When it seems to get a bit hot, I feel the need to add more. Maybe it's just that the carto is hot from being used? I probably drag on it about twenty times. I really appreciate your tips. I'm getting a drip tip and some more attys. I think the break in period didn't pass yet on the one I used because I thought it tasted terrible... harsh like someone wrote. -
Got it to work! The thumbtack really helped get that second piece off. And I didn't realize the juice bottle tops popped off. Duh, otherwise, how do they get it in there. Sheesh, Aimee, think sometimes, would 'ya! Thanks a bunch, all of you.

So, I just received these eGo Cartomizers 2.5ml and I cannot figure out how to fill them. I ordered the filler needle, too, and I get how that works, but I have two problems. 1) One of the pictures on that weblink shows how you need to pop off the mouthpiece (no problem) then pop off the center piece. This is where I run into trouble. The second piece has two holes and no matter how much finagling I do with the paper clip, I cannot get it to come off. The picture does not show it having two holes. It seems really stuck. Any thoughts or success with this? 2) Using the filler needle. Eeegads. Once I get it into the juice bottle, the needle does not reach far enough to be able to suck juice up. I tried it at an angle, but after I pulled up on the plunger, the juice got pulled back into the bottle. I think it is an air pressure issue. Any thoughts here? I really wanted to like these cartos. I really like the idea that it holds more juice. If no one has any way that they have been successful with them, I will ask WordUp what they recommend. BTW... I got other flavors and I can taste them a bit better now. I can smell the flavor as I exhale. Almost there with the taste buds, but not quite.

How Often Do You Change Carts Or Add Liquid?
AimeeG replied to girldragon's topic in New Vapers Forum
I love the cartomizers, too. The easiest way I found to top them is with those rubber tips that come on them. Squeeze about fifteen drops of juice into one of those tips and push the cartomizer down onto it; fills it up nice and easy with very little mess and no popping the little pieces out. As for easily knowing when you need to add juice, I find that I know when that is when i start tasting or smelling a burnt taste or smell. This, of course, may be a little too late, but it is my indication to add more. Those fifteen drops go quite a ways in a cartomizer! Good luck and have fun at the BBQ and telling everyone about your cool new device! -
Vaping At The Bars And Pubs
AimeeG replied to AimeeG's topic in Vaping Legislation & Regulation News
Totally not taken the wrong way, at least not by me. When I was in school, the same thing: teachers lounge with smoke billowing out after lunch. There was even an area in high school for the students to go outside! In Michigan (where I live), schools are a "drug free school zone" under which I am sure nicotine counts. Strangely though, caffeine doesn't count (wrong lobbyists in Washington, I suppose, just like with HFCS). Anyway, some kids are probably smokers, many of them I am sure have seen their parents smoke, but I'm not going to test it out in the teacher's lounge. Not even if all the fellow teachers I have lunch with are cool or are former or current smokers. Doobies, on the other hand.... ... just kidding! Never toked one of those. I think I have the top line of my business card ready: I'm not smoking; I'm vaping. Below that: The big cloud you see me exhale is just water vapor. Not sure on the rest yet. But VaporTalk.com will be mentioned! (If that's ok... do you think it is?) -
Vaping At The Bars And Pubs
AimeeG replied to AimeeG's topic in Vaping Legislation & Regulation News
For the record I'm 39. Besides, I'm a seventh grade English teacher, so trust me, I know how to pick and choose my battles. This is a battle I will want to pick to fight because I can already see the benefits. Although, certainly I will not even try to vape at school, not even stealthily. Now that that's off my chest, I appreciate the feedback. Now, to figure out what to put on the business cards. I just want the folks I hang with to think about the benefits of it. And since we always go to the same bar, that might work out ok. -
So I just started vaping a few days ago. I want to find out ways my fellow VaporTalk forumites have been able to vape in the places where smoking is now banned. How did you go about it, talk to the manager first? Have some business cards made up about the greatness that is vaping? Or something else? This is one thing that I miss the most, being able to have a beer with friends after work on a Friday and a smoke ... but now a vape!

Are there particular companies that make the PG? I'd like to buy their stock.

Threw Out The Few Analogs I Had Left-Wish Me Luck
AimeeG replied to girldragon's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I got my eGo kit on Sept 1, had my last analog that night, then picked up the eGo and started vaping. I was in the same place I always smoked my analogs (garage, with a drink on hand) and that really helped. It's about location for me. Although I do find now that I vape much more in the house, like right now while I'm using the computer. You'll find what works for you, I have no qualms about that. Good luck and let us know how it goes. -
There's also vegetable glycol (or is it glycerin?), referred to as VG. Hope that helps.
-
I used the atty for the first time today, so it hasn't been blended with anything. No vanilla taste whatsoever. But I understand what you mean about having a separate one for each type of flavor.
-
I don't want to bad mouth my supplier because I really like them. They called me, wrote a personal note, wrote me emails, all to help me get first set up. (I think you might know who I mean.) I went with a blend of PG and VG, if that makes any difference, perhaps. I'll try the other two next time.
-
Yeah, I thought of that, but I can taste flavors in things like sobe drinks or fried rice. I'm thinking of trying direct dripping, but I can see that my atomizer doesn't have threads to fit something like this aluminum drip tip. Or do the drip tips not have threads? It's hard to tell even in an enlarged picture. While I'm thinking of it, would liquid spill out if I set it horizontally level while having a drip tip on it? I read so much wonderful information here, I can't really remember sometimes what went with what. I should've started a notebook about it.
-
I'd love to say that my flavors were amazing, but they're not. I put the juice in cartomizers and I can't tell cappuccino from vanilla. I put the juice onto an atomizer (I ordered blank cartridges) and I can't tell that what I put on the atty was vanilla. Is there a better way to do this? I've ordered some more intense flavors, like french roast coffee, key lime pie, cranberry, and double mint. I hope those will prove more flavorful. As an after thought, since I only have one atomizer, I'll have to rinse it out to try the other flavors, right? It's not good to let it burn till it's dry either, is it? Ok, that's all for now.

Ceramic 510 Xl Cartomizers First Impression
AimeeG replied to madhatter7750's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
Did you get these: eGo 2.5ml -
So it's been two days now and I still love, haven't craved an analog at all even. I already ordered some more liquids... can't wait for the lime and cranberry ones so I can hopefully make what might taste like my favorite adult beverage: cranberry juice with lime vodka. Thanks so much for all your help and kind words.

I am so happy! My eGo arrived today from Wordupecig (what a pair of great customer service folks to boot... more about that in the vendor forum). I plugged it in charged it an hour and a half longer after the green light came on as recommended by Jeffrey, and what a treat! I'd had my last analog ... I swear my LAST analog ... moments before and I'm not going back. Mixed some American Spirit (my brand of analogs) and Cappuccino and I'm in heaven! I think I flooded my cartomizer a bit as juice dribble out. I guess 40 drops is a bit much, huh? I've watched a few more videos on filling the cartos, and I'm just not sure what will work best. The idea of putting the juice in the "condom" and having it get pulled up seems logical, but messy. I "poured" it down like a beer, but I guess too much of a pour made it overflow. I also pull a bit of juice out when I drag sometimes; normal? I think I might consider the the eGo cartomizers that hold 2.5ml of juice and fill with a needle from Wordup; anyone have a great experience with that to share? I did notice in the instruction brochure that came with the eGo package (Janty) that it should not be kept in extreme temperature conditions. So leaving it in the car like I do ... no DID... analogs and lighters is a no-no, huh? Hot or cold weather = bad? So if I take it in my purse, I guess I'd better have some of those rubber protective covers in case it leaks. And since it will be in my purse, it will be vertical most of the time; is that ok? Sitting here at the computer vaping (YEAH... no cigarette stink ... haha, I'm already thinking it stinks!), I've been placing it down on it's flat end rather than putting it horizontal, mostly so it won't roll; is that ok? All of your feedback and the information in the entire forum has been such a help. I am so glad I found this site!
