  1. You just put the same code that you put in your profile into the signature area (another part of the profile area). Then it will show up in below your posts in the forum. Vape on.
  2. Maybe I'll have better luck with the fruity flavors I bought. I'll try them tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm going to order more Dulcis even though there isn't the 30ml price for 10mg and 0mg. I love it too much to be without it.
  3. Oh, for sure number three. Well, at least as long as it wouldn't cost me my job (teacher), like smoking some other things would do. You know, it's amazing to me that smoking analogs wouldn't therefore be banned, too. But whatever. Follow the money trail, Aim, follow the money.

    Smell?

/start high jack thread Can I make sure I have the term "stealth vape" down right in my head? Does that mean you inhale and swallow the vapor? And then don't exhale anything or much? /end high jack thread
  5. I like coffee, caramel, vanilla, amaretto. The one I mixed up of amaretto left me headachy and stomach achy. Or maybe that was checking the 100 essays while I vaped. I, too, like to strenthen up the flavors with plain flavoring. That's what got me started thinking I could just do it myself. Reading the stuff you wrote, kitsune, helped me realize I would want my flavor higher, too. So I started the amaretto off with 25% flavor and at 10% sweetener. I bumped it up to 33 and 15 respectively. Better, but not great. Maybe if I add some vanilla it would help. The whiskey was a total bust. No extra amount of sweetener and even up to about 37% flavor didn't help it. Tasted like the worst whiskey you can buy at the store (I'm looking at you Wild Turkey). Since these two left me in such a bad place, I'm leery to start in with the cranberry, lime, coconut, cherry, orange, custard, tiramisu, choco au lait, etc. that I have. Maybe I should just stay away from alcohol type flavors. And maybe I should buy more bottles.
  6. I bought all kinds of DIY stuff... many, many Decadent Vapor flavors, many, many flavors from DIY Flavor Shop, PG, VG, sweetener, bottles, a ml graded needle, and nicotine liquid. I hate everything I make. I'm only doing single flavors, no real mixing or recipes. I'm using the ultra cool iOS app on my phone which helps a great deal. But, in the end, my flavors suck. I'm totally bummed. Or maybe this other flavor I have, some crazy thing called Dulcis from some really nice company, has me totally spoiled. you, VaporTalk!
  7. You may certainly mix! Although, I'd try it at a smaller batch than 15ml menthol. Maybe all you need is one drop of menthol to get the hit you are looking for (throat hit, maybe... kitsune, where are you?!), and the rest one of your new flavors. If you're using cartomizers, this is easy to do in the rubber cap with the condom method. If you are direct dripping, maybe one drop menthol every few times. I made an entire cartomizer of menthol when I was sick... man, did that help clear up my sinuses! Much better than a cough drop! Be careful with menthol, it is really a potent flavor, is my advice. Vape on!
  8. Now you just have to move on to the wall cleaning and replacing carpet. Teasing, great job on getting rid of the ashtrays and for not nagging the DH.
  9. I can answer this part: click on the banner below my post with my count meter. You will be directed to a spot to make your own. Copy the code, go to your profile then the signature area and add the code. Viola!
  10. In case anyone needed more reason to get Dulcis after the great video review, I received it and some DIY stuff on the same day. I have only poked at the DIY stuff but the bottle of Dulcis is gone. After a only a week. It has been my all day, every day liquid. I love it!
  11. No, not a good draw either. I take the first hit like I usually do, about ten seconds worth (long, I know, but that's how I smoked analogs too), and then bleck-ich-nasty primer burnt taste. I try another shorter toot, and it's terrible too. I may just send an email to nhaler. The first batch of five I had were great, but this batch (and I ordered 25 because I liked the LR so much) has been terrible through the first box of five (two of the four opened are like this).
  12. Have you found many of these to be duds? I open them up, fill them, and they have that burnt thing going on, like atty primer burning. The most recent one I opened up today, I filled it just a little, it did that same thing, and I thought, "Well, maybe it DOES need to be fully filled before being ok." Then, not so much. Still burnt primer nastiness. Ugh. I have 25 of them. I loved the first five I had from nhaler, but this recent batch (received Monday, October 4) may be a bummer. Thoughts?
  13. Mark... THANK YOU! Dayvape... excellent! Wow, so the two new LR cartos that I filled up and tasted like a** can now have the liquid removed?! That is awesome. I really hadn't wanted to lose that much liquid, but chalked it up to being part of what happens sometimes (kind of like when I had to stop an analog before it was done), but now I can get back that liquid?! Genius. I really am bummed by my new LR cartos. I got them before from the same supplier, but this batch seems to be half duds. And my luck I ordered 25 of them. Well, at least the two that did that burnt thing are now savable... for the liquid! Yeah.
  14. You've mentioned this "contraption" a few times (and each time in the quote marks, too) and, maybe I'm daft because I spend my days with twelve year olds (English teacher), but I have no idea what you mean. My students would be bummed with my reading-between-the-lines skills. My only guess is that you the contraption you speak of is the battery itself.
  15. Spinning trick? Do tell! (I must've missed it somewhere... )
  16. Thank you all for your help. Since I really didn't want to order the eythol maltol for just a few bucks and spend more on shipping (I think I will order it when I need to place a larger order, though), I used some stevia powder. Seems highly irregular, I know, and I may be junking up my cartomizers with it, but it has been working. Here's what I did: In my 5ml bottle, I used probably half a scoop from the stevia jar. The scoop holds maybe 5mg, so it was probably close to 2mg of stevia. After putting in the PG, I shook it up really good then added the nic and the VG. (I like my liquid, typically, to be half and half.) My whiskey flavor still isn't where I'd like it to be, flavor wise, but now it doesn't just taste like it on the exhale, i.e., when I smell the vapor on exhale. The custard flavor tastes amazing and the coffee is more like the way I like my coffee, sweet! Also, I do not get a stevia after taste like I do when I've put it in my hot black tea (real liquid, beverage tea, not a vape!). So, for now, a little stevia powder will do.
  17. I'm with you about not tasting the flavors if I don't rotate, too! I have been mostly at 11mg or below (PG 50%/VG 50%). Starting to get into DIY flavors and mixing. Dangerous.
  18. I had only a few cartomizers to start and used them a lot, probably refilled them a good fifteen to twenty times each. When the new ones came in, I decided to give the old ones a boil to clean. It was neat to smell the aroma of the flavors I used in the boiling water's steam. I turned the hood fan on, too, just in case any nic particulate would get out there. I blew excess water out and put them standing up on paper towel for a good 60 hours now so I know they are dry. Anyway, I put some eliquid in one today, and the flavor is off, it tastes kind of, well, waterish. Go figure, right? I'm hoping that with the next refill of this carto, that it will be gone. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know if this waterishness will go away? It's not like I didn't get my money's worth on them, but if it works well, I'd love to use them more. Also, this might be a good warning to others who decide to boil their cartos to not give up if it seems weird on first fill.
  19. Excellent ideas, both of you! Now, I guess I need to place another new order. Such is the life of a first year vapor!
  20. I just received some great DIY stuff from Totally Wicked. I bought fifteen decadent vapor flavorings! I also got some of their platinum ice, PG, and VG. I mixed up a 5ml bottle of 5mg liquid (not as difficult as I thought it would be!) with 50% PG and 50% VG. I put 15 drops of that in the carto sleeve with 5 drops of the whiskey flavor and mixed it with a toothpick. I could tell the flavor on exhale, sort of like you do after you swallow whiskey (or at least, I do!). What I thought I was missing was a sweetness. Doesn't the PG or the VG have a bit of sweetness to it? Is there something else I can get at the drugstore or grocery store or hobby store that I could use to add some sweetness? I haven't tried any of the other fourteen flavors yet, so it may just be the whiskey flavoring, but I'm curious what you all do. I'll be really bummed if the apple pie flavor has great taste but no sweetness. Thanks! Also... thanks for the forum member who made the iOS app that I used to get the measurements right in my mixing! Awesome find!
  21. A cartomizer has the heating element and the wicking material in one unit. An atomizer must be used with either a cartridge (which has filler in it to put liquid on) or with a direct drip tip (where you can drip a few drops at a time of liquid right on to the atomizer). I find that a cartomizer is easier to deal with as it is one piece and you can fill it with the rubber protective sleeve it comes with. You just add 10 to 16 drops, push the carto into the juice and it gets sucked up into the wicking material. Others like the direct dripping method because of their various reasons. I'm sure someone will come by with some.
  22. That happened to me, too. I did notice that the ones I got from the VT shop seem to be like the ones I received from another supplier as a low resistance model. Both the VT ones and the others you can see clean through the center of them, so I don't know why I tried the dripping method. The other cartos I have are filled with material that is rolled up and you can't see clean through the center of them. I suppose if I wanted to drip onto these, it would work. For me though, the filling with the rubber protective sleeve is a ritual for me akin to lighting up.
  23. Using the no-muss, no-fuss condom filling method, I put twenty drops in the first time I break open a new cartomizer, then after about an hour's use, I add another fourteen. Maybe that's a bit high? But it's not flooded, I'm not getting juiced, and liquid doesn't come out the connection end.
  24. neverm1nd, that would be AWESOME! I can't seem to get my hands on a dremmel without having to say what it's for. Never smoked in front of my parents and dad's the one with the tool. Let us know!
  25. This is exactly why I started smoking at the age of 24... stress. My first year of teaching, moving, and difficult relationships. Mostly the teaching. Xanax wasn't around then (or if it was, I certainly didn't know about it), but had I known about ecigs, I likely would've gone for those instead of analogs. The side effects of nicotine in liquid form (high blood pressure, not sure what else), seems a small price compared to the ridiculous disclaimers about xanax. Good luck to you and your wife and welcome to VaporTalk!
