Leaving Batteries on Charger overnight?
Earthling789 replied to duke9023's topic in New Vapers Forum
IMO, charging the MVP, iStick, etc (self-contained/sealed battery devices) is safer to charge unattended than an exposed 18650 battery. Notice I said "SAFER THAN" and "IN MY OPINION" No battery charging activity is 100% safe or perfect, and we all should do this activity with the thought that something can/will go wrong. As suggested, buy a charge-bag to contain the devices when charging, if you MUST charge unattended. This is also another good reason to have back-up batteries... so you can charge one while you use another (while you're awake and can watch them). -

Tam, I had a Galaxy 500 Skyliner... WOW, what a car! Style and luxury you can't get an cars today... I've always had a land-yacht in the driveway... Lincolns mostly... big Fords... Mercedes... Jaguar... but you just can't beat the ride of a 70's Lincoln -

101Vape.com has the VTR on clearance for $55. Could it be that Innokin is stopping production, and perhaps coming out with an updated VTR or something new? Still, I can't push the IPV-mini's hard enough... but if you wanted a VTR (as a self-defense weapon, lol), $55 is a bargain -
If you can't turn your Voltage above 3.3V (6W), then I'd suspect the juice more than the tank or battery. Most batteries (non variable) are 3.7V, and between 3.5 and 3.9V is the sweet-spot for most tanks and juices. I don't recall any battery/mod that operates lower than 3.3V unless it's a very expensive box-mod, but I could be wrong on that? Is your juice a really high PG blend or 100% PG? Try a different brand of juice, and perhaps something in the 50/50 PG/VG ratio, and I think you'll find a much more pleasurable experience. Also, not sure about your coil, but those in the 1.5-2.0 Ohm range will provide good results between 3.5V and 3.9V.

I loved my V1 so much, I bought the V2, and while I was at it, ordered another V1 at the same time I think I'm done with buying any mods for a years... er... months... er... weeks -

VaporRange.com just got the champagne and pink mini2's in last weekend... $65 and free shipping! I've ordered all 3 of my IPVs through them, and if my mail would run (thanks to all this snow), I might get the two new ones I'm expecting -
should I be concerned?

You should only be concerned if it talks back -

Haha, the MVP has a USB output port on the bottom, and the IPV's have a 510-to-USB connector so you can charge your phone or MP3 player Does that count? -
I agree with this... I have built coils below 0.5 Ohms and did not care for the results... now I stick above 0.5 (usually 0.8 range), and for me, any 20A battery is going to give me ample lee-way I've almost bought Efest batteries in the past, but when I can get Samsung 25r's for ~ $6.50 each from the local shop or from Amazon, I'm calling that a win-win... cheaper than Efest and guaranteed reliability/performance. I also use Sony VTC4's that I bought from Comp, but I would not have bought them from anywhere I didn't trust... like the Efest issues, there are way too many Sony's sold that aren't Sony!

The only time I kept count was when I was testing the difference between Kanger's BCC and BDC coil-units and the juice each burned in a week. I averaged different counts depending on the tank used, but overall averaged about 250 hits per day. Counts don't matter to me... If I'm chain-vaping a low mg Nic juice, I'll hit it more often... and if I'm where I can't chain-vape, I'll use a higher mg Nic juice and can go longer between hits. The Nicotine level of the juice and type of tank/RTA/RDA you're using will be the biggest factors in how often you hit the device

Yeah, it's easy to drop big money on vape gear on the initial start-up and initial "intermediate" gear, but the nice thing about buying quality gear and good batteries is that you won't have to replace them for a year or two (or more).... you'll only ADD to them You're welcome for the info... glad I can help ! Oh, and the mini2 is a nice unit, but if you aren't intent on dripping, save yourself $15-20 and buy the original mini (~$50). Other than using my RDA, I have no use of going over 20W on any of my tanks or RTAs. -

For desk-use... I'd recommend the IPV-mini or IPV-mini2. Both use a single 18650 battery. The mini goes to 30W and the mini2 goes to 70W (for powering RDAs). The IPV-mini's are box-style but fit well in your hand... and stand on the desk better than a tube-mod like a Vamo or Provari. For battery recommendations, I always suggest Samsung 25r and Sony VTC4. Both can handle sub-ohm builds to 0.25 all day long, and for standard tanks and RTA builds above 1.2 Ohms, they'll last all day long before needing swapped-out or recharged. Be aware of many of the batteries claiming 35A, as the 2500mAh purple Efest are the ones usually listed with that rating, and there are sooo many clones and re-wraps of them, I personally don't trust them to truly deliver that rating! Also, many of the off-brand and Chinese made batteries hyper-inflate their ratings in mAh and Amps. If you want an un-regulated device, the skies the limit for tube-style mech-mods, and Hooker mentioned the Kato, which looks like a VTR, but is mechanical. The Slug-mod is also a box-ish mechanical with a cool firing design, but they are usually more expensive than an IPV-mini2, lol For those mods that say 18350/18500/18650, they are just saying you can use the different height batteries in them, and adjust the tube to accommodate for a shorter or taller device. Smaller 18350 batteries make for a stealthy device, but also don't have as much power (don't last long), compared to the larger, 18650 batteries. -
What's the best kinda E-Juice for vaping in a tank?
Earthling789 replied to duke9023's topic in New Vapers Forum
I'll add to this... some juices taste better in a specific tank, too. I have one juice, which is a 60/40 PG/VG blend, which tastes like wet socks in a Nautilus, but tastes wonderful in a KPT2. Some of my juices taste better in a Russian 91% RTA (@ 1.4 Ohms and 12W), than any cartridge-coil tank ever could. I agree with everyone else... PG/VG ratio plays a part, as does flavoring and coil resistance. There is no "magic-number" solution to this, as everyone is different, and tastes are subjective and individual. You have to play around with flavors, PG/VG ratios, tanks, coil resistance, Voltage/Wattage settings, etc. to find what is best for YOU (which is why this is so much fun, lol) -

The "safety" is activated by pulling the cap and turning it 90-deg. This puts the contact pins into the smaller holes, which prevent it from moving side-to-side and contacting the center-pin (negative contact). -

I'll be happy to send you some snow 20" hasn't been seen in KY (in a 24-hr period) since the 1950's! And, we're expecting another 4-6" by mid-day tomorrow, then lows in the -7 range for the next couple of nights. The saddest thing is that I was riding my motorcycle two weeks ago, in 60-deg weather! -
Yeah, I do Perhaps I've not used the Stillare long enough to find my sweet-spot for it, but I've got the Magma dialed-in for my favorite dripping juice, and that same set-up doesn't work for the Stillare. Perhaps one day I'll put forth more effort on it. Which proves your point... what works best for you is the best RDA for you
-
Those are pretty poor for vaping... capable of only 2.5A discharge, and they are protected button-top cells too. These would be worse than Trustfire or Ultrafire batteries (for vaping), IMO, and would not go into ANY of my devices.

Yep, both of those get my votes... with Hood being my #1 choice Then again, I think everyone in the town of Banshee is a badass (except maybe Gordon, lol)

To me, RDA's are for clouds and sub-ohm builds... both are counter-productive for flavor. For all the RDA's I own, the Magma has a good flavor, but I don't build it below 0.8 Ohms. I've tried lower and flavor goes out the window, along with all the vapor All things being equal in coil-builds between my Magma, Stillare, and Omega... the Magma wins, hands-down for flavor production (and not being a hot vape). For excellent flavor, I'd suggest a good RTA (Kayfun, Russian, Orchid, Lemo, Squape, etc.) and run them in the 1.2 - 1.8 Ohm range. The Kanger subtank or Aspire Atlantis are decent pre-made-coil tanks for flavor, if you run the 1.2 Ohm coils. Other tanks also (subjectively) provide excellent flavor (Kanger Turbo, Aspire Nautilus, Kanger AeroTank for example).

Of the ones on their site, I'd select ONLY the Efest. If they have others at the store, I'd see if they have Sony VTC4, Samsung 25r, or as Rixter suggested, the 2500mAh Efest. You can't go wrong with the NiteCore charger either. I have two of their i-4 series and never had any issue with them... the WORK!
