  1. Woo Hoo, you're on the cool list now The birthday cake juice was so good my girlfriend wants some in 0 mg nic for her sweet tooth. For Memorial Day sales, I shopped all weekend, found some good lists, but didn't find a better deal on juice for me than the May/June Fadora CNote 25% off deal. So I just placed my order and Comp's gonna be quite busy lol.
  2. Got a coil building jig for wrapping coils in bed, a nice Aspire Nautilus stainless tank with a polycarbonate window so I can see my juice, 2 keychain screwdrivers and 2 MT3 tanks that were on sale for 2.95 (stocking up for the FDA battle)
  3. Lol Yeap everyone calls it "Alec" and looks at me funny when I pronounce the whole word. If you and Compenstine don't get the order thing figured out, I'll get some Fadora juice to you somehow especially since you're out on a rig. I had a fabrication and erection business until the economy got so bad in commercial steel, then I got into oilfield services and equipment rental and did a lot of trucking for land rigs and gas drilling, so I know how hard you guys work out there. There's no vaping community here, there's a head shop that sells some ego kits and kanger stuff but it hasn't taken off, and no real vape shops. Lafayette has one and my girlfriend found one in the mall in Lake Charles and bought me some space jam juice. I've got 60 acres sitting over a big pile of oil, when natural gas price picks back up and they start drilling again around here if I luck out and get a well, ill be buying so much juice Compenstine might as well be on salary lol.

Yeap defintely get an ohm meter, it's not just more accurate for me than using a multimeter but it's also MUCH easier to use. They run about $13-$15 online. I bought mine from lightning vapes along with 300 Feet of Kanthal A1 coil wire and shipped to the house it was only about $30. sweet-vapes.com has one called the "omni-tester" that I really like for about $14 I believe, it's made by Smok or SmokTech and has some added features in it's feature set. I bought a kayfun lite black edition v3 which is a clone/replica but has some design changes, and I'm really quite happy with the quality. I'm going to purchase another one to convert to a dripper or have as a backup for a nano tank kit. The Kayfun Lite really surprised me, I didn't expect it to be so beginner friendly. It's the RBA that people usually compare everything else against, and I assumed that if it worked as good as people talk about, their had to be a con so it was probably overly complicated. But an ohm meter, several inches of Kanthal A1 and a $3 bag of organic cotton balls will have you wrapping coils like a beast in no time. My kayfun is so easy to build and hits so hard with a single coil, i don't see myself doing anything but single coils anytime soon, which makes building it really easy. http://www.custommodcreation.com/shop/288/black-edition-kayfun-v3 When it's bone dry the threads are just a touch rough but I'd say 9/10, and that's only like after it's been washed or soaked in alcohol, rinsed really well and air dried.
  5. hey that's a nice load of goodies you got, enjoy it all, I think you made a good choice with what you bought to start out. I know you'll enjoy it.
  6. When things go well it's easy to offer good service, but when there's an issue is when you get to see someone's true colors. I'm happy to say that Lightening Vapes gets 5 stars in my book. I was skiddish from ordering from them because they're so cheap. But I decided to try it. I had a 30' roll of Kanthal and I was wrapping coils having to be extra careful since I had a limited supply (in my mind anyway 30' was limited.) I started to order from Amazon but I found while browsing that Lightening Vapes had better prices than Temco, and they're a vape store with all kinds of other things I "needed." I ordered 100' of 28 guage, 100' of 30 guage and 100' of 32 guage Kanthal A-1, a nice ohm meter, some ego-510 adapters, and it came with a poster. I got it shipped for $30. That's 300 feet of Kanthal and an ohm meter for only a little more than the cost of a few 30' "Vapowire" rolls. And I like the wire better! But the best part is that I realized the post office returned my package to the sender due to an error on my part. I emailed Sean Monday, 30 minutes later there was an expedited package shipped out again and I had the tracking number. Sean sent it to my other residence at a new address and I tracked it the whole way. We ended up exchanging 4 emails, and every time he was replying instantly. And I got a free vaping poster that you're allowed 1 with every order if you so choose. They have every kind of wire you can imagine, and it's cheap enough to experiment with new coils and wire that you might not normally purchase, like Ribbon Wire or something. http://www.lightningvapes.com/
  7. They're awesome, one of my favorites. Awesome service and super fast packing and shipping. I check them every time I buy something because they've got such good authentic inventory and prices. If fadora doesn't have it they do and vice versa usually. I've probably ordered from 15 online vendors, they're one of my top ones.
  8. Last night I realized how much coils effect it. I went sub ohm for the first time. I've been wondering why my RDAs seemed to last forever when everyone on YouTube talks about 2-4 drops, a few hits, drip, hit repeat. Well I took one good hit and burnt through more juice than my whole nice of dripping (well from work until bedtime usually)
  9. I'm one of those weird people that goes to the store and buys a birthday cake to eat instead of just for someone's birthday, good white sheet cake is about as good as it gets. And birthday cake flavored Fadora impressed me even though I'm a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to cake Wow I bet I sound fatter than I really am.
  10. Nautilus Aspire or Kayfun Lite for sure in my opinion. With your aspire, you should be able to use 1.6 or 1.8 ohm coils, either one will work well on the MVP 2.0. The kayfun lite is a better tank and cheaper to operate in my opinion. It's different from the Aspire Nautilus though. If you decide to get a protank 2 (personally I didn't like it nearly as much as the other two but I understand other people love it), I've been seeing them on sale for $8.99, I'll find a link later and post it. Make sure you don't get ripped off, I gave $25 for the protank 2 and $35 for the protank 3 to support my local B&M and not have to wait, but I regret spending so much above market price. The Nautilus wicks, burns, and vapes better in my opinion if you're talking stock coil to stock coil. If you will be rebuilding the protank coils yourself, you can build them to work much better than the stock ones, although I still prefer my Nautilus to my protank with aero base and super badass custom coils. The Kayfun Lite is super durable if you'll be using it on the go or working outside, driving nails with it, etc. The Nautilus Aspire is more durable than I expected, like for throwing it in my vape box, in and out of the cupholder in the truck, in my pocket upside down when I lean back in a desk chair, etc. But if I were to drop them both on concrete and be lucky enough to not damage the 510/ego connection, the Aspire stock glass tank would most likely shatter. Another advantage of the kayfun, it's easy to very quickly refill the tank without getting any (and I mean NONE) juice on your hands, mod, desk, etc. The Aspire Nautilus is tougher to open up and refill and reassemble and not have sticky fingers.
  11. They run about $10 for a pack of 5 coils, they're going strong, the kanger coils tended to clog up on me and get a tighter draw, some people may like that, I take bigger vapes and now realize I like a tighter draw IF it's a huge vape, I don't like a tighter cloggy then dry towards the end draw. I hit it hard and vape a lot though. But the Aspire coils have lasted longer with no change in draw yet that I can tell. Definitely worth the money for me, both performance and lifespan. Rox, check it out. Only $30 for all of it!
  12. Will this do mam? Got an ohm meter 100 feet 28 gauge 100 feet 30 gauge 100 feet 26 gauge 2 510 to Ego Adapter Connections I bought one and one came with the ohm meter. I now have about 5 and I never remember why I wanted them when they arrive lol. I'll tape one to my mod so I don't forget and order more. All this was only $30 from lightening vapes! Their customer service was amazing, I somehow got it shipped to an address with no mailbox anymore, emailed the vendor, within 30 minutes they had tracked it and confirmed (I assume) that it was returned to sender, then sent me a new shipment "expedited" to make up for the time and had the new tracking number to me. I realized and emailed them Monday morning, had it arrive with signature confirmation Wednesday afternoon, so right at 48 hours from me realizing it was returned to sender to me having my supplies in hand.
  13. Did something come up with a big trademark with lawsuits against juice vendors a while back? I've noticed lots of companies now advertise "formerly known as pepsee" for juices like "Blue Cola"
  14. Since you like fruit flavors, you HAVE to try something from Fadora. I'm currently trying out Craft Vapery's Juice of The Month Deal, And Classified Crisp is a watermelon/apple combo that's delicious, really hides the nicotine content well. Fadora cake batter and Standard Cell Block Four are both REALLY good dripping dessert vapes. I tried EC Blends, and one fruit flavor was ok, the other was horrid, I emailed them to see if I got a rancid flavor but they just sent an automated response that we all have different tastebuds and to order more juices from them until I got something non-rancidish. No thanks, especially with service like Fadora has, but EC isn't terrible just not Comp's level of personalized service.
  15. Watermelon is my favorite, but I think the Strawberry is just as good, I just happen to like watermelon better. I'm a basic fruit kind of all day vape guy. The cake batter is my go to juice for sitting at home relaxing and dripping or treat vaping from cartomizers I set aside for a sweet tooth. The snickerdoodle is a close second out of the ones I've tried. We really aren't making this any easier lol You would think that the basic fruit flavors would be similar to some of the other popular ones, but Comp's tend to be more full and "brighter", and they're more of a true flavor than a candyish over sweet flavor like some of the others.
  16. My favorite color is flat black, I guess I got lucky lol
  17. Yeap that's exactly right, I haven't looked into it a lot, but the branding and logo seems to be what causes problems for the ones that do have problems. In my opinion, the fact that retailers know clones with logos will outsell clones without logos says a lot about what things have come to in our world. I think the reason I like our forum so much, is it seems to get rid of those types on its own "Kids these days, shaking my head!" says the old curmudgeon rocking on the porch. That's politically incorrect, I typed out the words instead of using text speak and abbreviations. And I like that others do it here too!
  18. http://www.custommodcreation.com/shop/288/black-edition-kayfun-v3 I got this one and honestly I LOVE it. For a clone/replica it's super nice. I have some clone style RDA's from overseas, and they look and feel like clones. They're nice and good enough, for what the price was. But this is sooooo much nicer in quality than my other stuff, the machining is probably pretty close to the real thing. There was a tiny bit of tension in a few of the threads running it together the first time but after taking it back apart from the test fit, washing, building and reassembling for use, it was quite smooth the second time. I planned to buy a Russian 91 for $100 next but honestly I think I am going to buy another one of these. The seller has been around quite a while from what I hear, but used to only run an ebay store front and now has the regular retail website. As far as a good beginner kit, I give it two thumbs up. It's super easy to build, I used the Grimm Green organic cotton method for my first builds. It's so versatile as well as easy to build on, best vape I've ever had with my very first RBA tank style build, although I've built some dripper coils. Just a plain ole 1.8 ohm drill bit coil had me chunckin some clouds, I was kind of surprised how big and dense the vapes on my first build were. I used 30 guage Kanthal because it's what I had. 28 guage is on the way though. Vapor Joes had some reviews but I bought from this guy because he's shipping from the US. My only thing I was looking forward too was the keychain screwdriver, this one comes with two screwdrivers and allen wrench and a bunch of orings and extra screws for everything, it's just plastic handled regular screwdrivers. But cmon thats SOOO minor, and I found these http://www.vaporkings.com/Keychain-mini-screwdriver-p/screwdriver-mini.htm For throat hit, the KFL is like a mule kick to the nuts, it's AWESOME. There's three drippers sitting on my vape stand next to the bed that haven't been used since I got my kayfun lite around May 10. They hit well, but honestly, the KFL is like a dripper that has tiny midgets inside dripping for you evertime you press the button.
  19. I got some juice from EC Blends, it was almost all perfumey/alcoholy, but airing it out a bit fixed that for most of them. There's a burnt taste in the Cantaloupe after it's been sitting a month, I finally emailed them asking if someone elsehas complained of the rancid flavor, it's like if you let milk spoil until it gets chunky, burn it in a skillet to hell and back and then take a big vape. However the watermelon was vapable within a week. Then I ordered Fadora juice because I was too new to vaping to be waiting a monh to know if I'd even like it. Fadora changed my toot life. It arrived packaged so nicely and obiously freshly made, yet was extraordinarily delicious. It gets better with time though, but I had to work REALLY hard to let any sit around long enough to know.
  20. It's really rough on high quality US manufacturers that the International (like Chinese) laws don't protect patents and trademarks. For consumers some see it as a great thing, others not so much. I can see the argument for both sides and won't clog up the OP making one for either. Right or wrong, there's a lot of difference in counterfeit goods being manufactured and sold in other countries vs. in the United States of America when we are dealing with U.S. federal intellectual property, property, and patent laws and regulations. Hana Modz has decided to take action against those it sees as infringing that are in the U.S. https://www.rfcexpress.com/lawsuits/trademark-lawsuits/california-southern-district-court/790506/hana-modz-llc-v-illvapes-llc-et-al/summary/ If anyone is interested, here's the trademark information that I also saw in another post I read on the subject. http://trademarks.justia.com/861/95/hm-hana-86195521.html I'm more familiar with patent laws than trademarks, and my patent knowledge is limited to what I've needed to know and learned in my own experience. I don't know the specifics on pending applications with trademarks. With patents, if the patent is filed and pending in an official manner, it can be defended pretty much as solidly as a patent which has been issued. However I don't know trademarks, and what the legal standing is for a trademark status of "630"
  21. A neat trick for flooding - My Nautilus floods less than my other clearomizers and is real easy to clear, both are probably correlated to the massive airflow benefits. All it takes is putting a paper towel over the drip tip and giving it a few wrist pops (like when a woman makes the "whipped" motion at you (not that I would ever let her do that I take mine off so I don't shake up my mod's insides on the DNA 30, with the MVP 2.0 I just shake the whole thing. one or two wrist pops with a paper towel snug at the the end, like you're trying to sling juice out of your drip tip (that sounds naughty but actually it's a great impression of how to hold it) clears it up. The Nautilus is the easiest to clear in this method, probably because the air flow is on the max setting. After a couple wrist pops to get the juice out of the chimney, I also do a short hot burn and blow lightly at the air hole but that's not necessary just my method. Thanks for the comparison I was really wondering about the anyvape compared the nautilus from someone who enjoys the Nautilus
  22. Well it might be a knock off of a knock off. Keep unwrapping and see what happens Just kidding Dont do that if you like your eyebrows
  23. Some call it scratches, I call it giving it CHARACTER!
  24. That's absolutely crazy. Either they are VERY misinformed and not part of the vaping community, and need to be introduced to Vapor Talk, have associated some customer's PG allergy with the entire world, or have A LOT of VG to get rid of, have very nasty tasting PG juices on hand they don't want people to realize taste like John Wayne's butt after a bad burrito or some combination of the two. My favorite drips are all higher on PG than VG and my head hasn't exploded yet
