  1. Nice. I forget it doesn't show topic description on the mobile vaportalk.
  2. Yeah from what I have seen it is a pretty common style unit. One reason I would say go with ElectronicStix is that he offers some pretty swell color options including a metallic burnt Orange looking color and a metallic green as well. If mine craps out sometime in the future it will be replaced by that fantastic Orange colored one. Hell for the price I may get one for every usb adapter I have access to. I can just imagine them everywhere. One for Verizon store when I have phone issues, maybe one or two hidden in best buy for those black Friday lines. Mmm. Vapor. Maybe one at the license office for those wicked plate renewal lines. One can only dream. Hmm. Maybe one there as well.
  3. Am I missing something? What juice is it? What strength?
  4. My order was one 5v passthrough(referenced as pt from here on out), a five package of soft tip 510 cartomizers and the Car to Usb 5v 2amp adapter. I placed my order very early on a Tuesday and revieved it on the Thursday immediately following. I ordered the pt in silver or stainless steel color. It is a simple 15 dollar pt that was converted from a battery. It has an Orange led that works great and a black button. I haven't had a chance to test it but with the car adapter it hits much harder than my tornado with an lr atty. I mean quite a bit harder. The place the cord runs in the bottom isn't protected by any sort or rubber but I have been using it everyday for several weeks and the cord is as nice and tight as the day I got it. For the price it really can't be beat. On my laptop it hits about as hard with the cartos as my tornado with an lr atty. I use this thing everywhere. It has about a three foot or so cord with is plenty of room everywhere I use it. The button has a nice click feel to it. Not too sure of the technical name for click feel haha. Overall it is a great introduction for those wanting to try higher voltage without a higher price tag. I can easily recommend this unit to anyone and I have to several of my friends. Next up are the 510 soft tip cartos. The end of these has a rubber plug that makes refills a breeze. I for one remove the tip and use my drip tip on the end so I can keep the cartos wet with the passthrough. They are wrapped in black plastic(?) Or something like that which I peeled off to reveal the silver metal finish underneath. I have been using the same carto for several weeks with great vapor and throat hit performance. They also work great on my tornado with the drip tip attached as they are kind short for that device. I mentioned I purchased the 5v 2amp usb car adapter to use with my passthrough. I assumed for ten bones it was going to be not all to great quality. I was wrong. It feels very solid and well made. This thing feels like it is going to last a few years. I have received worse adapters that were three times as much for phones and such. I feel pretty lame that rhymes. Oh well. Last up is the service. Two day shipping is awesome. Another thing I did that I like to do with a new supplier is send a thank you e mail. Jason responded in like an hour. Just fantastic service. I would have no reservations about doing business with Jason at ElectronicStix.com and I guess others feel the same because they have a great reputation on all forums. So yeah I have a 5v setup with cartos and a car adapter for less than forty bucks. I will be using ElectronicStix for many more purchases. I could not be happier. P.s. typed on a phone, don't hate.
  5. I use totally wicked lr510s rated at 1.5 ohms. I have been using the same one for three weeks dripping. No signs of slowing down. They are joyetech I am pretty sure. Forgot to add I experience no burning taste unless they start to run dry.
  6. I know you have cartos(which I use at 5v), but one important thing about a brand new atty is to blow the primer fluid out of it before use. It will save you from making some weird faces in public when your first vape tastes like burning lemon urine. And congrats on making the switch. Pass it on to a friend. We are taking over.
  7. I would start with the ego/tornado. Few starter kits offer the ease of use with such great battery life. I love mine. Best joye model to date.
  8. I know the feeling, and I have been drops away from being empty. But...I am prolly one of the few people who was more of a chewer than a smoker when I started vaping. I did smoke daily but no more than five a day by the time I started vaping. We wish you the best of luck. I try to always keep about sixty mls on hand to be safe.
  9. A lesson we can all benefit from. Those little flat rate usps boxes are fantastic for all e cig products. Sorry to hear you lost attys to "the man" and his mail service.
  10. Yeah the Smoke 51 brand is really storming the market. I have seen more of their products in the strangest places. They are actually decent batteries and carts but the attys are pure garbage. They guy I bought mine from said the atty was good for more than six months haha. It's a shame one of the biggest names in e cigs is also detrimental to the whole cause. My 51 Trio carts were supposed to be two packs as well. Twenty drags later it was dry...the carts only held six drops.
  11. Thanks for the heads up. You are so soooo right about only buying from a well known, well researched supplier. Sometimes just doing your homework can save you a lot of hassle. What was that fake ego selling for? I'd pay $10 for an extra starter kit haha.
  12. One thing I forgot to mention is that sometimes you will get a juice that's too harsh especially on low resistance attys or high voltage. With a manual battery it is so so sooo much easier to "pulse" the atomizers by clicking the switch on and off several times to keep the vape temperature down. It might be the difference between having a juice you can enjoy and having one that's rendered useless due to its harshness.
  13. Umm I am gonna throw this out there, it sounds really sweet. I have been on the hunt for the perfect high voltage/3.7 device for awhile now. Knowing TW I am sure this is going to be at least decent quality and construction and probably not too cheap. I guess I can make it 3 more weeks using my tonado with LR atty's. Thanks for the vid post.
  14. You may try a diet coke bath as well. That really refreshed an atty that had been wrecked by an oil based flavor.
  15. I have an ego/tornado and it is THE 3.7 kit to have. I have only heard good things about them. Wish the batts were a hair cheaper but oh well. I recommend trying low resistance atomizers is you have not already. They put out a good 50% more vapor than standards. But yes, we all live our ego. Sorry to hear you don't like the rather juice as it was on my list to try. I believe it is all 100% vg which makes it pretty thick.
  16. I think you will find most prefer manual batteries. One thing I like about manual batts is that you can burn off fluid without taking drags. Example is when I go to bed I burn my regular attys dry nearly them I can leave them ob the battery without fear of spillage. I direct drip by the way. Do not however dry burn attys at high voltage or low resistance attys. They will go bang. Auto batts have their place but not with this guy.
  17. That's fantastic. Seeing as manufactured mods grow in technology and price everyday it pays to be handy and crafty. That is definately a quality looking piece. Now my question is can you take the atty off and get a different fix? Uhh sorry.
  18. VaporBomb mixes, fresh I might add, any mixture of pg/vg to your liking and they do have 100% vg offered for every flavor. I swear by this stuff. They do not however sell attys or supplies. No I don't work for them, just a loyal customer. I do have several gold band low resistance atomizers from Totally Wicked. The ones I got are supposed to be 1.5 ohms but I haven't had a chance to test them. But they work great. One week so far on the first atty. No signs of slowing down. I have only tried their decadent vapours range of pg liquid and wasn't impressed but they just released their Hecules line of American made liquid which is 100% vg in tobacco, plain, and menthol I believe. But it is large quantities only. Don't know how good it is.
  19. So last night my friend and I were messing around with his Smoke51 Trio and its standard atty puts out honestly very little vapor. We then switched it to a Totally Wicked Mega Cartomizer that I had picked up for my tornado. The vapor is tripple what it was with the standard trio atty. Anyone have an idea what ohm either of these pieces are? Also, will using the obviously much lower resistance cartomizer damage his battery? I assume the mega cartomizers are joyetech products and tend to be lower ohm than the other umm gimmick stuff. And another question(sorry I know but you guys are sooo helpful), are the mega cartos about the same resistance as a normal 510 cartomizer? I thank you in advance. Even if you can answer only one it would be super helpful. I'm not 100% sure this shouldn't be in the n00b section but I figured since the mega cartos are fairly new I would post here.
  20. I just got my mega cartomizers in today from totally wicked. The 510 fitting is really recessed on these to fit over where to cone on an ego would screw on. I can't imagine it would really work on much else.
  21. I have heard that vaporbombs cinnabomb is super close to tasty vapors atomic cinnacide but cinnabomb is a bit stronger. But I've read things that say atomic cinnacide is stronger. Who knows? I plan on trying tasty vapor soon after reading your review.
  22. Hey there, very nice review. It is one of the better ones I have read in a long time. Tasty vapor is on my list of vendors to try after I get a 6volt unit. The one thing is that they had smaller than 30ml bottles to at least try. You might had sold me on trying the mint chocolate. I figure if the juice isn't horrible or amazing it wouldn't be worth reviewing. But very nice review.
  23. Alright so this is my first ever review relating to electronic cigarettes. Don't expect greatness just yet haha. Also, I'm writing this from a phone. So I searched the internet for days looking for reviews on different juice makers and I came across VaporBomb. They have a ton of flavors and do all sorts of vg/pg mixes to your liking. They also mix up to 30mg nicotine for standard pricing. All my juices were ordered at 40vg and 60pg with 30mg strength. My order was shipped the same day and I upgraded to priority shipping for an extra dollhair. The Virginia menthol is the darkest in color at a goldish brownish color. The cinnabomb was a yellowish color and green Apple was slighly green. Hypnotiq myst was slightly gold come to think of it, and blueverry was clear. All produced clouds of thick rich vapor. All juice was vaped on my tornado with regular thoroughly cleaned atty's and I vaped at least 3ml of each for a long period of time. These were mainly dripped and I also used carts at least once per juice. All juice came in nice plastic drip top bottles, none of which leaked. CINNABOMB: This juice has a very strong scent. It can be smelled on my other bottles kept near it even though it doesn't leak. The flavor is red hots. It hits very hard at 30mg. I will order lower next time. The flavor is intense as it fills your mouth and almost makes me nervous to inhale this one as it feels like its gonna burn badly. But the inhale is smooth and very nice. It's not overly sweet but it does leave a lasting taste in your mouth. I cannot imagine too many liquids have as much flavor as this one does. I love this juice! It will require a dedicated atty as it lingers after a solid cleaning. The red hot flavor is very nice and the throat hit is awesome. 5/5 BLUEBERRY: This one was a freebie and mixed to the correct vg/pg except at 24mg. The smell is very nice, like blueberries, but not overly strong. The flavor on this guy is awesome. First bottle gone. It is a smooth flavor and is instantly recognizable as its namesake. It's sweet but not too sweet. It tastes like a mixture of blueberry candy style flavor and Definately has a legitimate fruit flavor too it. Honestly it tastes really close to actual blueberries. I could do this one all day. In fact I did until I ran out. 5/5 GREEN APPLE: This one just pops. It's a nice strong jolly rancher scent and flavor. It tastes exactly like the jolly rancher version. This flavor is much stronger than the blueberry which is saying a lot because the blueberry has a lot of flavor. The only downside to this juice is when the atty starts to run hot it tastes pretty terrible. I would order this again. This one mixed with cinnabomb is really tasty. 4/5 HYPNOTIC MIST: This juice is hard to describe. It has a light fruity scent. The taste is similar. It has a smooth citrus almost and maybe a light berry flavor. Not too sure. It also seems to have what I could only describe as a menthol style cooling sensation. But I can't say for sure its menthol because its not quite the same. This juice probably tastes really different to lots of people. Either way, it works. It's very smooth and is my before bed vape and right after I get off work too. 5/5 the throat hit on this one is about like the blueberry, mild but still there. VIRGINIA MENTHOL: This is the one flavor right from the gitgo that I hated. It's also the one I have vaped the most of and will be part of every order from now on. It's smell is just plain weird. Kinda like natural garbage haha. But the flavor is just amazing. It's not like other tobaccos I have tried. It's much more earthy and almost tea like in its flavor. It's slightly sweet but it really shines in its menthol strength. It's not super mentholly like a lot of juices. The major flavor is the tobacco in this one. Almost about the mentholly strength of a Marlboro mild if you can imagine. This juice is just awesome. The perfect nice strong throat hit, while still maintaining a certain smoothness which is tricky to find. It's good all day long and that's how I use it. I'll always keep this on hand. 5/5 I appreciate all comments and questions. Yes this is American sourced and freshly made. Besides my free 5ml blueberry sample I also received a small bag of polyfill. Shipping was a couple days and I am placing another order tomorrow. Just ask if I didn't mention anything. I love Vapor Talk!
  24. I'm a moderate vaper at most and I see a day and a half out of my batteries. I have a tornado and it is the best 3.7 solution out there. Mine fits In my shirt pocket and is fairly small and light. Like Christopher said, you have endless possibilities with the tornego. My batteries put out great vapor til about the last ten drags. Fantastic.
  25. So I have had my tornado for about one week and I am very very happy. It's a nice solid piece. It looks great in black with Chrome accents. I have been vaping the very vanilla decadent range from tw as well. It's only okay. It tasted better on my friends relatively weak fifty one trio gimmick unit. Tastes a little burnt on the regular 510 atty. But the tornado is awesome. I've been getting close to 48 hours battery life. Sleep included haha. But I change batteries once every two days about. Really satisfied. Those 1000mah batteries will come in handy for backpacking so ill snag some up soon. Couldnt be happier. But not sure about very vanilla. Shipping was four days. Awesome. Thanks to everyone who replied. I know a lot of people might be on the fence but the tornego is the way to go.
