  1. Seems to me, everything done on such a large scale as this e-cig decision is driven or influenced by $$$$$$$$. The FDA, big pharma, and tobacco companies are all a bunch of two-faced liars. They all claim to have "our" best interests at heart. Well, I say BS!!! I'm sick 'n tired of being micromanaged........and lied to "for my own good". I think we're all adults and can make up our own mind. We don't need the FDA getting so deep in this. If they want to make sure everything is done above board and with quality materials, well, ok. When they start making noise about regulating along the lines of tobacco.......No Way!! It's all about the tax revenue under the quise of a healthy product. Well, I'm here to tell ya, e-cigs work....at least for me. Might be a slight learning curve, but so what? I bought my first eGo setup one day and that day was the last cigarette I've smoked - in 50 years. I'm tired of govt sticking their nose into every segment of my life. I don't take one thing from the govt......and don't expect any. When I retire in a couple years I'll take back what I've been paying for for decades. Then I'll sign up for VA, which I also earned. The FDA is not interested in my well being. They're all about protecting the companies that send the lobbysts to "help" make the decisions, and protecting their "phony baloney jobs". Where's all those tax dollars the states are collecting from cigarette sales going.....some sick TV ads? On one hand the states say, publicly, the taxes on cigs are all about giving cig smokers incentive to quit. But, when enough people quit or find some other alternative, the politicians start crying about all the lost tax revenue. Well, which is it.......incentive, or tax revenue? I think we all can read between the lines. Same for e-cigs. I'm all about making things safe, but I believe, for the most part, the marketplace works pretty good. And, with the internet superighway and forums like this one, something not right won't last very long. Sounds harsh, and probably is, but in my opinion, if someone's dumb/gullible enough to try something without proper caution and/or research, they probably don't belong in the gene pool, anyway. Case in point.....meth/heavy drug users. I know, not relevant. Just an example. I don't know what we can do, but I'm keepiing my eyes and ears open. All I can think of right now is call your representatives and senators and voice your opinion. As a whole, I'd think we have a pretty loud voice. The optimist in me says we have a chance.....the pessimist in me says the politician hacks/pricks are going to do what's in their best interest. Just my opiion....... I could be wrong.
  2. My .02 on coils ...... I have tried cleaning coils in vodka, but kept getting a strange burnt kinda taste. Tried a couple day Coca Cola soak .......not very successful, either. Haven't tried EverClear, yet. Was told long ago that both denatured and isopropal alcohol are a no-no due to harmful chemical additives in both. Someone told me about Efferdent.....haven't tried that either. My go-to guy for juice has started rebuilding coils, so I have a small sackful he gave me to try. I poked around on the FastTech site and found packs of replacement coils for real cheap, so ordered enough to get the price even lower and stocked up enough to last a while. I got coils for as low as $.72 each, so I'm not too interested in spending time cleaning or rebuilding. I toss my used-up coils in a plastic ziploc and save them to trade for rebuilt and screw in a new one........and keep on keep'n on. Next order will be for a multi-pack of EVOD's, then some batt's and I should be set for a while.
  3. Suddenly, a cow runs out into the road and a Limo driving late at night hits it head on and the car comes to a stop. The woman in the back seat - in her usual abrasive manner, says to the chauffeur, "Get out and check on that poor cow--you were driving." So the chauffeur gets out, checks, and reports that the animal is dead but it appeared to be very old. 'Well,' says the woman, "You were driving, so you go and tell the farmer in that lighted farmhouse over there" Two hours later the chauffeur returns totally inebriated, a full belly, his hair ruffled, with a big grin on his face. "My God, What Happened to You?" asks the woman. The chauffeur replies, "When I got there, the farmer opened his best bottle of single malt scotch, the wife gave me a meal fit for a king, and the daughter made love to me." "What on earth did you say?" asks the woman. "Well, I just knocked on the door..........and, when it opened, I said to them, 'I'm Nancy Pelosi's chauffeur, and I've just killed the old cow."
  4. Yeah, tough loss ..... snicker, snicker. Your guys had me worried towards the end. Thought you had us in OT.
  5. Edited for the ladies out there ........ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two people, a man and a woman, were trying out for a lion-tamer position The girl said, “I’ll go first.” She walked past the chair, the whip, and the gun and stepped right into the lion’s cage. The lion started to snarl and pant and began to charge her. About half way there, she threw open her coat revealing her beautiful naked body. The lion stopped dead in his tracks, sheepishly crawled up to her, and started licking her ankles. He continued to lick her calves, kissed them, and then rested his head at her feet. The circus owner’s mouth was on the floor. He said, “I’ve never seen a display like that in my life.” He then turned to the young man and asked, “Can you top that?” The young man replied, “No problem, just get that lion out of the way.”
  6. "Pirate life and ll the booty" Sounds like a Bucs fan...........
  7. Bump ....... Alright, who dropped the ball? I like readn' them, just can't remember them.
  8. For most of my adult life I owned a small jewelry shop/store where we bought, sold, repaired jewelry and did in-house custom jewelry design and manufacture. 10 years go I shut it all down and moved to Fl. Now I'm having a big time driving around the country as a pilot car/escort for oversize loads.
  9. All I know is, well, what I know. I know - 1. The patches for me didn't/don't work. 2. Nicorette gum is nasty. 3. E-cigs (a good one) are a no-brainer for someone trying to give up analogs/stinkies. I tried a few of the convenience store/truck stop cigarette look-alikes - they didn't work for me and I felt I wasted my $$. Just didn't do the same as a real cigarette. 4. Chantix - absolutely no way. If it takes 15 seconds in a 60 second commercial to tell the good it "may" do, and 45 seconds to list all the possible side effects, I have no desire to try it. Have been told if you use a CDL to earn a living and it comes out during the anual physical that you're on Chantix your CDL is history. If the DOT thinks Chantix is that bad, that just reinforces the reason for me not to be interested. I'm not too crazy about the dry mouth/throat/tongue I sometimes experience, but a taking sip of something wet or keeping a cup of ice handy, for me is a pretty simple remedy. As to which is better, the e-cigs, patches, etc, etc, the answer for me is a no-brainer. A friend loaned me one of his xtra eGo's for just 4 hours. The next day I went out and bought my own. On Apr 19, '13 I put a fresh opened pack of smokes aside for my e-smoke and haven't looked back. So, for me....... my vote is for vapn'. I have finally found a way to successfully leave a nasty 50 year habit behind. Problem is, now sometimes I feel like an evangalistic preacher if someone starts a conversation about my e-smokes. I have learned to control myself, though
  10. Vaping....satisfying a sweet tooth ........... who cares as long as I'm not doing what I used to do.
  11. "Soon enough Jay Culter will get beat up, and be moody and inconsistent the rest of the season." Yeah, well, ..... I think he should have to hitch-hike his own stupid *** back home.
  12. Not familiar enough with the different styles 'n such to make suggestions. All I can tell you is what I started with. Tried the little cig look-alikes. Didn't work for me. A friend loaned me his spare eGo with a CE4 tank for a couple hours. Went the next day and bought myself a setup and haven't looked back. Now using eGo batt's with EVOD tanks and I'm happy enough. 50+ years of buying stinkies and gave them up the same day I got my e-cig - Apr 18. I'm impressed. Welcome to the world of flavorful vape'n.
  13. I know exactly how you feel. My Bucs managed to shoot themselves in the foot today. Had the game in the bag ......... dumbass/stupid/senseless push gave the game away. Sure you'll see it more than once in the replays.
  14. Yeah........What he said...... She's gonna be proud of herself - and you for getting her started on the vapin' trail. I know how she feels. Took me a while to hop aboard and dump my 50+ year habit, too.
  15. Gentlemen, not being negative, just curious.........what's the big deal about rebuilding EVOD coils when they can be bought (in quantity) in your choice of resistance from a manufacturer for $.70+-, and toss the old one?
