I have been smoking since I was 12 years old and I just turned 52. The doctor told me months ago that I had the beginning stages of emphazema. I did not even entertain the idea of quitting smoking because I knew I could not do it. I was a 2 pack a day smoker. Also, I am a nurse and I know my patients could smell the cigarette smoke on my uniforms and hair. It was embarrassing, but not enough to make me quit smoking. On April 20th a friend and co-worker told me to just try an E-Cig because she had been successful at quitting smoking. She went into the store and bought me a Blu. I could not believe how good it tasted. For the next couple of days that is all I smoked except first thing in the morning and occasionally after a meal. As it was getting low I went to a tobacco shop and purchased a kit and some menthol juice. I have now gone 11 days without smoking. I had been smoking almost 40 years. I prayed for God to help me so between God and the GREAT invention of the E-Cig I will probably live 10 years or more then I was going to. I have 5 children who are all shocked and happy that I was able to quit smoking and the ones who smoke are saying they are going to try also.

Well, it has been 1 year 2 months and I am still going strong. I truly contribute my success in quitting analogs is the E-Cigarette and my friends here on Vapor Talk. Here's to never smoking again
