  1. The vape he is getting in the TW video is very weak, imo. I wonder if it comes in LR? I want to get ahold of these, http://www.royalsmokers.com/Clearomizer.html, in both the low ohms for my ego and the high ohms for my Joker. Has anybody seen/used these ce2 clearomizers? I have seen reviews on YouTube where someone is using a LR clearomizer on an ego device. Looks sweet and would put an end to the burn in the cartos you can get when the wicking material gets to dry.
  2. Isn't this the same tank system totally wicked is promoting? http://networkedblogs.com/c5T2d?ref=nf
  3. Brian, Thanks for the reply. I used my multimeter and got readings between 2.0 and 3.4 for most of the cartos (old and new). All of the cartos produced the same result as before, with the blue diamond of death arriving before shutting off. I switched batteries and the same result. Put a brand new carto on, didn't even fire. Put the same carto on my Ego, no probs just not 5v vape quality. Tried probably 12 different cartos to no avail. The only thing working now on the Joker is the high res atty w/drip tip (the flavor and vapor are not as good as when the cartos were hitting). Looks like I'm going to have to contact Vaprlife. Thanks again for the input.
  4. I've had my Joker since July (or something like that) and have been using the same cartomizers on it since day one. Last week it started acting up and I thought it might be because of the carto. I put a new carto on and it worked again for 2 days before it began to have a conniption fit again when I refilled the carto. Again, I figured carto problem. 6 cartos later and the device continues to act up. It will gradually go from green to blue on the first drag. Quicker to blue on the second drag. Finally it goes immediately to blue by the third drag and won't run at all after that. Now when I put a standard high res atty on it, with a drip tip, it runs fine. However, the flavor on a high res atty is not nearly that of the cartos. I have new cartos on the way, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and if it might be worth contacting vaprlife about it. Any tricks, tips, helpful hints would be appreciated.
  5. Hodge, I think it depends what voltage you are vaping at. At 3.7v the LR atties w/a drip tip are the ticket and cartos cannot compete. You can't use LR at 5v and I find that cartos at 5v are the best, easiest, efficient and cost effective. I use 510 Janty/Joye LR w/my ego and cartos w/Joker. When I put cartos on my Ego, there really is no comparison to a LR atty. LR cranks out the vapor, flavor and the atty lasts significantly longer. If you're at 3.7v the LR atty is the way to go.
  6. Keynesian theory is criminal IMHO. Compound his assertions, potential hyperinflation and the rescinding of the tax cuts and forecasting for 2011 is a terrifying prospect. The impact of these ideals will have far reaching ramifications. Thank you for posting this Christopher. Brian
  7. My Joker arrived today and I cannot emphasize how happy I am with this product! The VT service was awesome again, as always. Thank you Chris. Now, I have a few questions: 1. Batteries, when they are charging, how long do they take to charge? 2. Does the light indicator change when they are fully charged? 3. What has been your experience with the battery life? The vapor production and flavor with the Joker are both excellent. The draw is very short compared to a 3.7v device (Ego). I have been using both cartomizers and old atty/cart system. Both methods work very well except when I overfill a carto. The Joker brings the heat and an overfilled carto does not do well with that much heat. I'm still on the learning curve with cartos. As always, any help is appreciated. Any tips or trick you might have would be great. Thanks, Brian 122607.wmv 122607.wmv
  8. Congrats Ouster! This will either curb your "Out of Control", from the other thread, or open up a whole new world of vaping for you. Enjoy the Joker! Brian
  9. Chris, Your customer service is impeccable! I placed my order for VT Tobacco and cartomizers late Thursday night and I am vaping with them Monday morning before 11:00! Yes, I had to vape before posting and it was worth it. The cartomizers on the Ego are excellent, good vapor and great flavor on the VT Tobacco. I am vaping a LR atty, a BE 510 and a cartomizer for comparison. Perhaps I will do a brief video review of all 3 in the near future. All I can say is the cartos are the way to go if you are on the go. Filling and refilling is easy. This is a product that is well worth the investment and the service from VT is equally as excellent. Thanks again, Brian
  10. The smoker's Polident idea, suggested at the end of that thread, sounds safer to me. The Heat N Clean, popcorn machine cleaner, sounds great for cleaning and not so great for inhaling.
  11. I like the LR atty but it isn't a tremendous difference over the BE510s or regular 510 atty. The vapor is slightly thicker and warmer with the LR. Halo flavor is good with both. I was going to try the cartos because of ease of use. Vape on the cartos looks good on all the vids I've seen, both 5V and 3.7V. I was just curious as to what to expect on the time to refill and the lifespan. Either way, I'm ordering some in the near future. I also want to try them because my buddy and his wife are on the vape now and she's not into the whole refill the cartridges game. Thanks for the heads up Chris.
  12. Chris, Is that true for all 5V units, absolutely no low res atty? I thought Damulta was running a LR atty on the Phidius Woodimus and that is 5V.
  13. Now that I am certain that the 510 cartomizers work with the Ego/Tornado and they can be refilled rather easily, I am interested in knowing if anyone has done a comparison between the 510 cartomizers and the low res attys on the Ego/Tornado? Also, what are the opinions on the flavors in the cartomizers at the 3.7 of the Ego/Tornado? I'm going to get some but I am solid on the low res attys w/Halo Torque both w/the blue foam mod and direct drip right now. However, refilling when driving can be a pain at times (during a turn). I was wondering how long a full cartomizer would last? Thanks for the heads up in advance.
