  1. Just to toss my $0.02 in, it took me two months to break even, and I have been in the black since. according to my little spreadsheet, I'm a little over $1,400 in the black. Granted I haven't gone mod crazy (not that I haven't been tempted though ) but my old reliable vp/pt is my 99% use device and I have an eGo for out and about times. most of my expendatures are in juice, which isn't too killer on the wallet. After a year my tastes are STILL changing. I can't stand smoke or tobacco flavors anymore, and the only one I've found that doesn't start to taste bland to me halfway though a bottle is a Cinnamon & Clove blend I get from Juicy Vapor. Though I did just drop like $150 rebuilding my atty backstock and ordering a couple MAP tank mods. Anywhos, exposition aside, what everyone is saying is true. once you find your niche toy and a good all day vape plus a few good once-in-a-while'ers it turns around really quick. My best recommendation (I know its good cuz I didn't do it and wish I had) is to actually put aside the money you would have spent on cigs so it isn't an abstract "oh I have saved this amount" idea. Whether you use a big jar or a special bank account, actually seeing a tangible amount would shock you, then use THAT money for new toys. Lol, despite what I said above, I'm still thinking I need a solid variable voltage mod. Maybe my "in-the-black" amount will be dropping shortly.
  2. I believe they're lithium ion batteries which means that they actually do better re-charging on a partial charge rather than a full discharge. lol I know this mostly from airsoft batteries, but what i do know is l-ion batts don't form a memory like ni-cad batts but they lose the amount of charge they can hold over time, fully discharging the battery can hasten this effect, but even so with the low voltage of PV batts you shouldn't see a tapering off of charge life until like 500 or so discharge/recharge cycles... in theory. in practice i've had an ego since last march and the batts are still as strong as ever. treat them like cell phone batteries, and you shouldn't be going too wrong.
  3. they just got new stock up. I ordered a 3.2 and 2.8 ohm to give 'em both a whirl. I'll let you all know my thoughts after I give them a try.
  4. Just in case for any of you Utah folk that want to help fight this, Here is a link to help you find your district rep. I plan to call my Representative tomorrow to voice my opinion on this matter. Funny how in this day and age of newsposts and text messages, that a simple phone call can still be the most effective way outside of a face to face conversation to get your point heard.
  5. Dang, I go off the radar from VT for a while and I come back to find new toys! I'm diggin the look of that MAP tank, this is something I wanted a year ago but didn't exist and I didn't have the know how to do for myself, lol. I have a notify me in at CoV but I'm curious as to the ohm options. I know the lower the resistance the hotter the hit, and I actually go more for a cooler more flavorful hit (after a year of vaping TH and bite are nice but less important to me than good flavor)so I'm thinking if I rock the 3.2 on my old faithful vp/pt it would be just about right. I'm open to opinions though!
  6. I remember this crap from last year . Well, Chris or Jason or anyone really, if you find some email addresses or online petitions or personal cell phone numbers before I do that I can use to calmly and succinctly explain my point of view here I'll post my bit again. I hate to say it but this state need checked short SOMEWHERE. In a state government for an extremely conservative and right wing population they can get away with a lot of crap for 'Moral' reasons, or 'Citizen Safety' or whatever. UT State Gov will not be happy till they have banned or tacked a huge tax to every supposed vice in existence, and they have a mostly uninformed but rabid voting base to make that happen.
  7. Woo Hoo! This is definitely a step in the right direction! Every loss of this nature for the FDA in court sets precedent and lessens their credibility.
  8. Congrats my friend! Setbacks aside it sounds like your doing great! I know I won't be the only one to suggest this to ya but a vaprlife VP/PT passthrough is nothing but pure joy for sitting at a computer vaping away. the 5v 'sweet spot' plus not having to fret over battery life, and an internal fuse to protect your connections, it is by far my most indispensable vaping toy, and worth every penny imo, when you can afford one I would highly suggest picking one up!
  9. Blueberry champagne from electro juice.... it's verrrrrrry good.
  10. So with a shopping spree recently done, I have flavors on the brain, and I'm looking at my bottle stack with the three or four flavors I don't care for and I sez to myself: "Self", I sez "Wouldn't it have been nice if I had known I might not care for those flavors before buying them?", and I replies to myself, "Self, you regularly troll a forum full of like minded individuals who may have been there if you had just asked, stop being a whinny dumb @#$ and start a thread to help yourself and maybe a few others avoid the flavors that may not be all that good" So with that very good advice I begin this thread thusly. What are the flavors you have tried, oh my VT friends, that you did not like. As for my list, I'll leave vendors out since its not really their fault, and I'll keep it simple. Blackberry, Black Cherry Cola, B&G Tobacco, and Butterscotch. The Tobacco and butterscotch I think was just a personal thing and others might find them very tasty, but blackberry tastes more floral than fruity, and Black Cherry Cola is just... bad, like really awful... like I took a fresh atty and risked killing it with a washing cuz I didn't even want the residue in there. And note also, these are just my opinions like any replies will be and you can feel free to disagree with me. I just want to know if there are any juices out there the VT community thinks would be best avoided.
  11. It might just be that I'm doing something wrong... either with my dripping or with the cartos, but its seems to me that the flavor is 'different' when I use a carto than when I drip. As by way of a for instance, when I drip Dulcis I get more of a 'Burnt Caramel' flavor that I find very good, rich and deep. When I use the same juice in a carto I get more of the tobacco flavor. dont get me wrong, its still good, just noticable different. its the same with all the other flavors I've tried, not bad, just different. TH is no different to me. All in all i like em, I still drip 90% of the time, but the Carto is great for a long drive or a party night when I don't wanna hassle with dripping. One thing I did notice, and will likely be an issue once my Joker shows up, at 5v it gets wicked hot on the lips. Just my $0.02.
  12. I just ordered $80 worth of 5ml samplers from electro juice (I may or may not have a problem..... nah) I've just gotten bored with my usual flavors (ry4 and dulcis, I know I know for shame on me, I'm getting too used to Dulcis, need to vape a few bottles of something new to 'cleanse the pallet' as it were) and I'm looking for some fun new juice. It looks like a pretty new site, anyone tried them out yet?
  13. I know this is isn't exactly a super informative post, but I'm soooo stoked for the joker! I have been holding off on dropping good dough for a mod knowing this was in the works and if my vp/pt is any indication this is going to be some sweet hardware. I'm glad I got in at a discount, big props to Chris for the heads up to members and the chance for a sweet discount!
  14. ah yeah, just as a funny aside, a ran a little experiment after my little run in with a snotty nosed tattle tale. I have taken a few colleges into my confidence and have used my pv, at 26 mg/ml rather heavily in the office but out of sight. its weird not only have i gotten no complaints, i got thanked for not using it inside... experiment successful? maybe.
  15. Just my $0.02. I tossed my pack and didn't look back... right up until the first time I met up with some friends for some drinks. That first time I caved pretty easily, but still found I preferred to vape, I like the TH and chest bite better from my PV than the ciggy but even still drinking even a little always was and probably always will be my biggest trigger. I think the best thing to do is not beat yourself up for it. It was that kind of attitude that I think made it so I never could succeed on NRT. I'd hate the NRT, end up slipping and beat myself up for not keeping to my goal and next thing you know its back to smoking. Try telling yourself that a slip is no big deal like everyone says, having a smoke only once in a while is still a vast improvement.
