Mikel1037 got a reaction from Uma in Vote For A Reason You Choose E-Cig
I quit analogs and started Vaping for health reasons, as well as cost. If you read my post under new members, you know I am a lung Cancer survivor. I did quit after surgery, but a weak moment led to a cig it was down hill after that. I was at a Tobacco shop where I bought supplies to roll my own, when the owner talked me into trying Vapor. I decided to give it a try. It has been about 6 weeks and I have only had 5 or 6 analogs. The last 2 weeks I have had zero stinkers. I have heard that your body starts healing as soon as you quit, I am breathing easier and sleeping better. I had given up quiting but thanks to Vaper I know I can do it. I know I can!

Right now I currently use the lowest nicotine (6mg), as well as zero nicotine. I'm trying to ween myself completely off nicotine and just vap zero nicotine for the sheer enjoyment. Vaping has helped me quit smoking entirely.

Mikel1037 reacted to Uma in how many cigarettes in a 10ml bottle?
    LOL Jeffb, and quite true.

Newbies don't inhale as deeply, don't take as long of draws of their eCigs. Why? Because their lungs are still too full of tar buildup. They'll be lucky to go through 3ml a day for the first week or so.
The experienced vaper, one whose lungs have healed, can take those longer needed draws. Their draws now are almost equal to a real cigarette. They still, however, find it difficult to take a deep inhale like they did with their smokes, so they vape a little more often instead. The experienced Vaper will go through a good 3-6ml a day on average. This, of course, depends upon their delivery system. Sometimes 1ml of that is wasted in piddle puddles on the battery connection, etc...
With that said, the Average ex 2 pad smoker now Experienced Vaper vaping 5ml a day to achieve the same nirvana as their 2pad habit, can say that 10 ml of juice equals roughly 80 cigarettes. But then, I don't do math, so I could be oh so wrong. I know I'm wrong. You know those 5 out of 4 people who can't do math right? I'm one of the 5.

It's happened to me twice as well, and when I checked and cleaned my connections with a paper towel and q-tip, the noise went away. I have a CE5 Clearomizer and a 650 mah ego style battery.

Don't slip up!!! Believe me it only takes 1 cigarette to get you hooked again as we both know. Been there done that!! I have been vaping now only a week or so and am down to 3 to 4 analogs a day. Tomorrow I am going analog free after almost 50 years.

Hello my name is Mike I am 58 years old, have been a smoker all my life. I lost 80% of my left lung in 2000 from lung cancer. I was able to quit smoking for about eight months after my surgery. At that point I had a weak moment and thought I would have a cigarette! I guess it goes without saying that one cigarette was all it took and I was smoking again.
A week ago today I bought a Ego-CTwist, I am pleased to say that since I purchased my e-cigarette I only had three cigarettes. I am very excited at the prospect that this will replace the bad habit that I've had for so long in my life. I enjoy the taste the convenience and knowing that I'm not getting all the other carcinogens and poisons that were in regular cigarettes. Keep your fingers crossed for me folks! I would love to see my grandson grow.

    Welcome to VaporTalk, Mike!
What an awful ordeal you've been through! And, I'm afraid I'd have been in the same boat, if vaping hadn't of entered my life. It sucks to be so addicted to smoking. I'm so glad you switched to Vaping, and that you've started with the Twist! You've certainly done your research, that's a nice ecig.
When I found a flavor I loved, it was easy to "forget" about having a cigarette, except for those dreaded 6 a day... waking, coffee, after eating, before bed... but one by one, they too left my life. I did, however, have to challenge them, challenge myself, and I'm still jumping up into the air and clicking my heels over quitting those lingering stubborn ones.
Best of luck to you. You're off to a great start with that twist!

Welcome to the forum, I had my own ordeal with cancer (kidney) they took half of my right one, so I know how you feel. Can't go wrong with an eGo I still have my 1st 510 stick style and it still works! I'll be closing in on 2 years analog free in a hand full of months and I know if I can do it anyone can. Stay focused and don't beat yourself up if you slip! Good Luck
