  1. Go to Arachnoboards, and search the classifieds. Word of warning: everything in the invertebrate hobby is listed by scientific name, and you are expected to do your homework. Some species are HIGHLY venomous, and while a bite won't kill you, they can be bad enough to warrant medical attention. All inverts are extremely fragile animals, and the practice of free handling is absolutely NOT recommended, and is usually frowned upon unless handling for maintenance or demonstration purposes.
  2. Too bad my Ducks took care of that problem for you... :p
  3. As far as conductivity goes, a 0.38 volt drop under a sub-ohm load is still nothing to sneeze at. Not necessarily an unwarranted love of brass, but rather having my butt kicked by a really great vape!!! Why I call rhe Chybrid a game-changer is because it's a good mod, and a great hybrid at a stellar price point. The quality may have a couple quirks. But this early in the game, this device will force other manufacturers to produce a quality product at the sub $50 price point. Kind of like the Sigelei mechanical mods. They are cheap, well-built, and getting better all the time. 101vape also has coupon codes that substantially lower the price.
  4. Well, go to the forums at Pangea. I probably won't be breeding them much more, as EVERYBODY and their mother is breeding them. Chameleons are hard to keep, BTW. And iguanas can become severely aggressive if not constantly worked with. Stick with the beardies and crested geckos, lol
  5. Oh, yeah!!! My "chemistry set" (aka DIY supplies) shipped yesterday from RTS Vapes. 60ml of 60mg nic 6 TFA flavors And a Koolada additive Also recieved earlier this week: 100 3ml syringes, 100 18-gauge blunt tips, and 50 10ml dropper bottles.
  6. Giving this thread a bump, as im almost finished with the rodent room, and am hella proud to be so close to self-sufficient with my snakes!!! Also, just adding a couple quick pics: Mature Male B. albopilosum (Honduran Curly Hair) And, I've never seen one of my geckos react like this to anybody...until my friend Jody showed up, lol (Yes, that is my vape box in the background...)
  7. Outside of the tank issue, my original review still stands. I really do love this device. Really easy to set up, and puts out like a ***** in heat. It's a shame that the tank cracked so soon.
  8. Ok.. So, here's a quick update on the i-Chybrid. Apparently, the tank is NOT glass / pyrex....or if it is, then it is of crap quality, and finding a replacement tank should be of the highest order upon ordering one of these devices. This is because my tank cracked halfway through my third tank of tiramisu from OMG e-liquid. The tank protector was on the whole time, and the unit was properly stored while lugging it around. Needless to say that I am quite unhappy. Not only did that render my new mod useless after only having it for less than a week, but the e-liquid that was wasted was fairly expensive and quite tasty, I might add! I will be sending 101vape an email regarding this matter, as well as trying to find a replacement tank, and will update this thread once those issues have been resolved.
  9. TMI (tiramisu) by OMG e-liquid out of my Chybrid. Alternating with my DIY watermelon Jolly Rancher out of my Igo-L
  10. Every so often, there comes along a device that could be considered a "Game-Changer." Now, I am not an e-Cig expert, nor do I play one on TV. However, in my opinion, the I-Chybrid has the potential to fit that title. Priced at under $40, this little gem has it all. The i-Chybrid combines looks, functionality, and ease of use into a compact, light weight, and sturdy package. Under the Hood The i-Chybrid is made of aircraft aluminum construction with solid brass contacts. The unit is outfitted with an attached I-ATTY, which features a Pyrex tank. Unlike the Z-atty, which this unit is designed from, the I-ATTY is super simple to set up. The lip around the edge of the top deck can be a bit of a pain to work around, but once it has been acclimated to, the end user should have little trouble working around it. My only complaint here is the air hole placement. Stock, the air hole is dangerously close to the top of the atomizer cover. At 1.2mm, the draw might be a bit loose for some people. For me though, I usually just cut to the chase and drill out my Gennys to 1/16th inch, which puts the bottom of the air hole just below the atomizer cover, and is subject to condensation buildup underneath. Tinkerers take note: Later on, I'm going to try sanding the bottom of the cover to get the placement back to where it should be. If this works how I want, I will be updating this thread. Battery Chamber and Switch The chamber holds a single 18350 battery, and does not have any extension tubes available. Though the i-Chybrid is well built, it is still anodized aluminum. Therefore, it is prone to scratches in the finish, and will dent if not properly stored. The button design is a bit annoying to work around. But, the switch has a good throw, and does not require a locking ring. So, the unit can be set down without firing. Performance The i-Chybrid, being constructed of aluminum is already highly conductive. Add in the brass contacts, and you have a recipe for a great vape with little voltage drop. Using a fresh AW 18350 IMR at 4.19 volts, the i-Chybrid experiences a mere 0.38 volt drop under a 0.8 ohm load. That number compares with just about any of the high-end devices currently being sought after. Final Thoughts The i-Chybrid is simply a great device. I carried it around unprotected in my pocket all day yesterday. At work, in the car, around the house, and around my neighborhood. No sign of leaking, misfires, scratches, or dents. For under $40, you will not find a better deal anywhere. The unit comes with a bag of spare parts, a small screwdriver, a spare pre-rolled wick, and a length of coil wire. The atty also comes with a pre-installed wick and coil. Get yours while they last at: www.101vape.com
  11. Vape mail started arriving today. Got my mods and Igo-W in the mail today, and my batteries should arrive tomorrow. Also in transit is a Nitecore I4 charger & 100 ft. of 30 AWG A-1 Kanthal from Amazon, and 25 ft. of 2mm silica wick from FleaBay. More to come thanks to a crap-ton of overtime!!! Stay tuned fellow vapers...
  12. Note that I said "pretty much crap," (implying that the cells were not a total crap-tastic waste of money) and followed that phrase with the implication that Efest cells were fine for regulated devices. Again, never once stating that the cells were crap in absolute fact. What I tried to get across is that the individual performance of any given battery cell all depends on the applications your are using them for. If you are going sub-ohm, then forget using Efests, and stick to something that is known to handle the amp draw. For the record, I have Efests, AWs, and Panasonic CGRs in my vape box. The CGRs handle a 7 amp draw (0.6 ohm coil) as well as, if not better than AWs...Efests can hardly handle 5 amps (0.8 ohm coil) without a severe voltage drop. While it may be anecdotal evidence, it still comes from my own firsthand experience using a multimeter on my own gear to measure the voltage drops, and facilitate better builds in order to get the most out of my equipment.
  13. Just picked up a KTS Storm with the old-style slant top and two drip tips from Hoosier Vapes, an I-Chybrid and an Igo-W from 101 Vape, and three AW 18350 IMR batteries from RTD.
  14. Hahaha!!! I lost it when the Live From The Philippines part came up....
  15. Efests are pretty much crap for anything but regulated devices. Since you're using a Zmax, there's no real need to drop twice the cash for AWs. As for the charger. Go to Amazon and look up the Nitecore Intellicharge series. A two or four bay smart charger shouldn't cost you more than $25 shipped.
  16. If im correct in assuming, isn't twisting the Kanthal supposed to increase the gauge, and therefore decrease the overall resistance of the coil? Is the bigger surface are of the wire supposed to increase vapor output? I don't know... After two attempts at it, I have to say that I'm not impressed. My first attempt saw my pitiful attempt at hand-twisting. It certainly lowered the resistance (0.5 ohms), but never properly made contact with the wick. Resulting in some of the worst dry-hits I've ever experienced. So, I pulled a Tim Allen and rewired it!!! This time I used a drill...playing with power tools is always awesome, right? Same wrap, better twist... ....but it actually RAISED the resistance!!! 0.8 ohms (from 0.6), and very little vapor output. I'd be better off not twisting, and removing the washer mod... So, what am I doing wrong? Or, is it behaving normally while I'm expecting a different result?
  17. Earlier: DIY candy watermelon 0mg - Igo-L Now: Boba's (what else?) 6mg - RSST Later: TMI (tiramisu) by OMG E-Liquid 6mg - probably vape this out of my Igo, as it took a week to get the residual of this stuff outta my RSST RDA then? I'm very happy with mine....no more washing drip-attys, or mini-clearos, and dreading the presence of juices past. Just yank out the old coil, wrap a new one, and vape hard!!!!
  18. Calling all fans of Hybrids and Richman RBAs (this means you, Uma)...The Richman Hybrid is due out soon!!!! The only info that I have on this so far is: 1) Release will be sometime late August 2) I'm definitely keeping my eye on it because... 3) At around $125, this is one quality Hybrid that I can afford!!! http://www.richmanvapors.com/category_s/1832.htm

    RSST

Good work, Rix!!! Though, wouldn't the ss washer create a short due to it coming in contact with both the positive post via the spring, and the negative deck?
  20. CascadianExotics

    RSST

Let us know how that works for you, Rix!!! The RSST is a good atty, but does need some help here and there. I've already tried two or three fixes for the leaking issue. If the AGA-T insert fixes the problem, then I'll buy those things in bulk!!!
  21. *ahem* An Ode to Boba's Hello Boba's, my old friend.... It's nice to vape you once again.... And the sun shines through the genny atop my mod....is it odd??? To celebrate this brew of amber.
  22. There is a saying amongst tarantula and inveterate enthusiasts when someone is deciding on which species to acquire next. I think this applies here: "Pick one, and get BOTH!!!" The reason being is that they're so stupidly cheap, that you can get several to try out. And, chances are, you will find at least one unit from each make and model that will work properly. That being said, if you are going to invest that much money into something, you may as well skip the cheap Chinese crap, and get something REALLY good. I have no idea what you are planning on putting these units on, but go to www.IBtanked.com and check out the carto tanks. For $25, you can get a great quality-made glass tank kit that comes with everything you need to get started. For a few extra bucks, you can pick up a handful of pre-punched cartos, and a cool drip tip.
  23. Today: 12mg Ginger's RY4 heavily cut with 6mg TVR RY4 + flavor shot (both from The Vapor Room) in my Genny, and the last of my 6mg Andromeda by Space Jam in my RDA. Tomorrow, I will be Vaping some 6mg Boba's to celebrate the end of two back-to-back 60 hour weeks....that is, if I'm not too tired to clean out, and set up my RSST. :p
