Welcome back. There are some changes, but still a lot of really nice people here.

Welcome! The eGo is the way to go for sure. For driving, the tank system would be best, but since I've never used a tank, I can't give any advice on that. I'm sure someone will be here soon to tell you all about it. No matter what you go with, you will need lots of backups...attys, batteries, juice, chargers, etc. You just never know when something will quit on you and you do not want to be left with even one missing element and have to go back to analogs. Good luck! And don't hesitate to ask lots of questions.

Since that is what you are using, then yes, I'm certain you would have a much, much better experience with the eGo. There are a lot of options with the eGo, too. Try one with regular attys, LR attys, regular cartos, LR cartos, etc., and decide which you like best. Good luck!

I think mcquinn missed the part where you said your PT was great, but you can't take it with you. And no, you are not screwed. We'll help you out here. What "crappy ecig" are you using right now? That would make a difference on what we could recommend to you. For starters, your PT is probably 5 volts. If you're really happy with that, you might not like the eGo at 3.7 volts. I happen to love both. The eGo is small and portable, but still does a great job at 3.7 volt with a LR atty. But I'm jumping ahead of myself here. What kind of a PT do you have?

Basilray First Impression: The Eq From Digital Ciggz!
nana replied to Basilray's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
May we have a moment of silence out of respect for Brian's loss? Sorry to hear this Brian. I know you were really looking forward to the EQ. -
It's been a long time since I've had a regular 510 battery, but I don't think the eGo is double the size. It is slightly taller and might be almost twice as big in circumference, but not quite. It's still a very nice fit - and can easily be concealed - in the hand.

I Found A Mini Kit For $35. Should I Get That Or Try The Blu?
nana replied to palermo45's topic in New Vapers Forum
The problem with a mini is the battery life. You have to recharge the battery every hour or less and that gets to be a really big pain. Seriously. I've never used the blu, but everyone who has says it's not good and is way too expensive. I think if you really want something smaller you should start with the Joye 510. It uses the 510 atomizer so if you want to switch to a longer life battery later (like the eGo) you can still use the atomizer on it. The atomizer is what produces the vapor. The regular atomizers aren't bad at producing vapor, but the low resistance atomizers are much, much better. The problem is you can't use the LR attys on the regular 510 battery. That's another reason we all recommend the eGo...you have many more options with it. -
It does look like a Silver Bullet. It's actually bigger than a cigar, but it doesn't take long to get used to. It's a really terrific mod. The batteries last at least all day long and it does use the 510 attys, too.

This is a forum with a store...not a store with a forum. When I first joined Vapor Talk, there wasn't a store at all. The store was added to help everyone out. Everyone here has their own preferences to which vendors they use and don't use and are very honest in their replies. We'll tell you who the good vendors are and tell you which ones we would avoid. We have several other dealers that belong to the forum, too. The only thing you might not get much of an answer on is the pipe question. I don't recall anyone here who has used a pipe. Good luck with your choice though. I hope it works out well for you.

Thegreen's 2 Year Vaperversary & My 100Th Youtube Video
nana replied to TheGreen's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Congratulations on the 100th video, the 2 years of being smoke free, and on the birth of your newest baby. Good job on all three!! -
Welcome to Vapor Talk.

The LR cartos are good, but just don't last long enough to satisfy me. I stick with my tried, true, and trusted LR attys. Unless I'm vaping at 5v...in which case I use the regular attys. I just don't do a lot of vaping at 5v since I use a passthrough and I'm not at my computer that much anymore.

Welcome to Vapor Talk.

Congratulations!! I know how good it feels to make it through that first 24 hours. It gets better and better, too.

Atomic Cinnacide is and always has been my all day vape. It was the very first juice I could actually taste and the only one I really like even now. I vape a coffee flavor sometimes just to break it up a bit, but always go right back to the atomic cinnacide. For the most part I still have trouble tasting juice. There are a few from madvapes that I can taste, but just barely. So...I'm not going to be able to help you out with the "punch to the face the first hit" thing. Sorry. I don't remember you saying you were off the 48 mg. That's good news. I'm glad the 24 mg is working for you.

I remember you struggling with it so I'm glad to hear it's better for you now. I thought it could be a struggle for me after 34 years of smoking, but it just wasn't. I was one of the lucky ones, I guess. My addiction is to ecigs now, too, but it's a much more enjoyable addiction. LOL

This is great news!! Glad it's working so well for you. Now you need to start buying backups!! Lots and lots of backups!

I'm so happy for you! It's always good to hear when the advice we give helps someone. Glad to hear you'll stick around. This is a good place, with good people. We're always willing to help whenever we can...so continue to ask when you need help.

Hello Schizophretard...good to see you again. I haven't smoked in almost two years now. And it hasn't been a struggle at all.

My recommendation is the eGo. It's not much bigger than a cigarette and it has great battery life (typically 8 to 10 hours). There are a lot of different atomizers you can use with it, but I would suggest the LR atomizers to begin with. They put off a lot more vapor than what you're getting with the unit you use right now. I'd also suggest a drip tip in place of the cartridge. With that you drip 3 drops of liquid through the tip and onto the atomizer and vape away. You use up all of the liquid instead of losing some in the cartridges because it doesn't all wick down.

Hi Corbi! Just so you know, it might not take a year to make the switch. It took me all of a week. Some people take a bit longer, but it's a pretty easy switch. Best of luck to you!

Congratulations!! So what do you think of it?

Hi Chindra! I always recommend the eGo, too. I smoked a pack and a half a day for 34 years before finally quitting with ecigs. I went through a lot of different devices before they came out with the eGo and that's the one I've used the most now. I've gone on to some "mods", too, and love the ones I have, but I still use the eGo. I'm fairly certain it will do the trick for you. I also agree with the suggest of the LR attys...they're absolutely the way to go with the eGo. Much more satisfying vapor. I was not a menthol smoker, but I've heard that Tasty Vapor makes a fantastic menthol. You might want to give it a try. I do vape even more than I ever smoked (because I love it so much more than I did smoking) and find that I go through the eGo batteries faster than a lot of people do. I keep 4 batteries on hand - just in case. Usually one will finish charging before I need to charge the one I'm using, but if I can't be where I can charge, I need those extras. Just a thought. I also keep plenty of backups around...extra attys (lots), liquid (lots), and a spare charger. You don't want to run out of any one thing and have to resort to buying smokes again. Good luck and happy vaping!!!
