Okay, brace yourself, Rixter. Here come the questions.
Will any of the 901 atties work or does it take a special one?
510-901 thread adapter. Check. Will also look into the "sealed shorty (stealth) adapters. I love empiremods.

IMO, the 901 atties from either ikenvape.com or empiremods.com are absolutely the best performing and most overfill-friendly atties on the market, but you'll need to use your eGo drip shields that you got from empiremods.com. BTW, you'll also need a 510-901 thread adapter...I like the sealed shorty (stealth) adapters (cheap from empiremods.com) for use on my eGos.

I noticed their posts listing current deals on this forum and was just wondering if anyone here has had any dealings with them. They have some really good prices and I'd like to order some gear from them.

If you are using the same power (watts) then you will be draining the battery at the same rate.When voltage goes up current goes down and vice versa.Voltage is the pressure so more voltage is a greater difference in potential .Current is the amount of flow ,like a bigger hose.
Since my PVs' switches get warm when the current is high, am I correct in assuming that lower current is easier on the switch?

I get roughly the same 8 watts from my variable voltage device set at 5.3v with a 3.5Ω HR atty as I do with it set at 3.5v with a 1.5Ω LR atty . The difference is that with the first combination, I’m using around 1.5 amps, while the second combination results in 2.3 amps.
So my question is: which setup drains a battery faster?

In lieu of a lengthy review of the eGo-V LCD Variable Voltage Passthrough I bought from ecig-parts.com, I'll just say that I really like it a lot. I like the wide range of voltages available (3v-6v in .1v increments). I like being able to see the voltage I'm set at and remaining charge with a glance at the LCD. I like being able to plug in the USB cable to charge it without having to remove the cone and DD (i.e. atty/carto/tank).
I don't like the flush-mount fire button. I can't just feel for the button so I have to look at the device to find it...maybe I'll get used to it soon.
I also don't like the fact that the cable is not a standard mini-USB, but I do have a digital camera that uses the same connection, so I have a backup if necessary.
Kudos to ecig-parts.com for getting it to me so quickly! I ordered it Tue, Oct 9, 2012 at 5:41 PM, and it was in my mailbox on Fri, Oct 12, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Fastest shipping I've seen lately, and I'm completely satisfied with their service.

You think the Universal is huge, Rixter, I use mine with a drip tip on top. Add the short eGO 650 pass through, it looks utterly ridiculous! But then again I really like the cool vape it gives when I use it.
Yeah, with a 901 atty, it's just funny looking, as you can see in the top picture below. The bottom picture is what it should look like with a 306 atty. I say should because I don't have a 306, so I just stuck the Cherry Vapes Universal down inside the cone for the picture.
I did, however, just order an Empire Mods Bridge Free Dual Coil LR306 1.5ohm to use the Universal with (and a Delrin 306 XL Drip Tip just in case the Uni doesn't fit). I've been curious about the dual coil atties for a while now, so I went ahead and got one...damnit!

I bought another PV today (like I needed another one, right?). I got a matte-black eGo-V LCD Variable Voltage Passthrough and matching cone from ecig-parts.com.
The main reason that I got the eGo-V was because I got tired of having to pull my atty and cone off every time I had to charge my eGo-C Twists, and the eGo-V is a passthrough, so I can charge it with a USB cable with the bottom USB port. The LCD display should be a little easier to see than the Twist's almost invisible markings, too, and it has a wider voltage range (3v-6v).
The entire order was $30.90 and shipping was free (on orders over $30).
In other news, I received my package from Empire Mods today, which included a Cherry Vapes "The Universal" drip tip, a shorty sealed (stealth) 510-901 adapter, and a freebie flat-tipped drip tip.
The 510-901 adapter is great because it doesn't add any height to my 901 atties, but the Cherry Vapes "The Universal" is TOO HUGE! As you can tell from the picture above (that's a Smok Tech 510 LR atty), it sticks out really far, and looks ridiculous. It will probably look a little better when using a 306 atty since it would be fitting over the 306 atty's body and down inside the cone, rather than sticking out of the top of a 510 or 901 atty. On a 901, which is inherently longer than most 510s, it looks really crazy. By the way, it does not fit over an IO6.

I don't know about the 901s from Empire Mods, but I recently bought a IKV 901 LR Atomizer 1.5Ω from IkenVape - $8.49, and although it's a bit pricey, I really like it a lot. It's got a really easy draw, which I like, and when I use it with my Empire eGo Spiral Drip Shield - $12.99 or eGo Drip Shield Cone - $4.99, I drop in 10 drops at a time and vape like I'm using a really great tasting carto...no more 3 drops at a time. I just ordered a 510-901 Shorty Adapter (Sealed) - $2.99 as well so it wouldn't add any extra height to the atty...standard 510-901 adapters add about 3/8".
