  1. So i use Vivi Novas often but i stil like having a carto tank or two in my arsenal ready to go. I've always used Smoktek DCT tanks with a single coil 1.7ohm ressurectur, prepunched in them. Works well, but the flavor i get out of my LR boge's is just superior. However, everytime i try to punch one of my boges for a tank it just gives me fits. Pushing the carto into the tank takes forever and is extremely difficult, and when i finally get it into place, refilling the tanks is a nightmare. The carto won't budge and i've pulled the caps off the tank more than once spilling/wasting the juice inside. And i was under the impression that Smoktek tanks should be the easiest to slide cartos into and out of. I though it was the saddle valve i used to punch them that was distorting the carto too much but now i'm using a carto punch from gr modders and its the same story. So what am i missing? Do i need a new tank specifically designed for boges or what?
  2. I have a vamo and i've been very pleased with it in 18350/mini mode. It's quite stealth with all features and power that comes with a big variable wattage device. You'll wanna havle quite a few batteries tho, i go thru 3 or 4 of those puppies in a day.
  3. Good answers, i too have been curious about some of nice glass trippy tips, but i'm far too clumsy, it'd be broken within a week
  4. What's your favorite style and material of dip tip and why? I've accumulated just about every type thats out there and i feel like the different styles definitely affect the vape. I'm also looking for a material that doesn't build up condensation as much. Especially on my vivi novas i feel like metal or aluminum tips are very prone to condensation build up.
  5. Yeah i'll have to have a go at building my own. Just haven't been able to find the time. A 50 hr/week job, 2 bands and my girlfriend don't leave a moment to spare!
  6. So i tried this fix and it seems to have improved the performance. I'm now able to vape it at 7 watts without the dry hits. Good vapor, but throat hit and flavor on this device at any voltage is still lacking for me. Thanks again for posting this rixter, it's made it vapeable for me, but for the long haul i'll stick w/ my boge carto tanks and vivi novas
  7. The first T3 i tried was an MT3 and i'm getting very dry hits galore when i go over 3.8volts. It's a 2.5ohm device.
  8. I'll give this a shot when i get home from work. Thanks for posting Rixter!
  9. So i was cleaning my carto tanks last night, and when i was drying them i noticed that there is some gunk built up around the orings in the caps. It almost looks like sugar. I figured it was just juice condensation that had crystalized or something, i went ahead and pulled out the orings and rinsed it off, but i wanted to see if anyone else experiences this as well as i haven't really heard it mentioned much.
  10. Dunno wut's wrong with mine, when i first filled i let it sit for 3 or 4 minutes, then started vaping it on my vamo at 6 watts. Got next to no VTF so i cranked it up to 7 watts and thats where i get horrible scratchy hits. I've since cranked it down to 5.5-6 watts which takes away the scratchy hits but gives me no TH or flavor. If you're using these, and feel like they're performing well, could you post what watts you're using it at, or the voltage and ohms of your setup? If you could also include the flavor and PG/VG ratio of the juice i'd appreciate it. I'm using a 75/25 so i wouldn't think the juice is the problem but hey, ya never know.
  11. I got one of each, the MT3 is performing poorly for me. The regular T3 has the white printing and 3 air holes that pbusardo has tagged as the ones that don't work well.
  12. Yeah no joke. Do you have the black or white printing/numbers on yours? And 2 or 3 airholes at the bottom?
  13. What a bummer mse. I have a gunmetal vamo as well but i haven't had any issues with the finish yet. It's collected a lot of fingerprints but that's about it so far. I might have to check out one of those wraps, pretty cool.
  14. Rixter, i got mine this weekend and they are piss poor. At only 6.5 watts i get horrible sratchy hits. I contacted gotvapes and it doesn't sound like they're willing to refund even with pbusardo's bringing the issue to light. They told me 6.5 is too high and to stick around 5-5.5 wattas (are you kidding me? Does that satisfy anyone ever?) I cranked down the vamo to 5.5 and the scratchy hits are gone but so is any resemblance of flavor or throat hit. Very disappointed, i should've just picked up a few extra vivi novas. I've advise everyone steer clear of these.
  15. I've got a couple of these on order as well, i got a black and red. Shortly after placing the order, however, i read on pbusardo's website that there are apparently issues with some of these working well and other not. He speculates its something similar to Bogegate where demand is greater than supply and the company has to outsource parts that make the product not work as good as it was originally designed. See his site for more info: http://www.tasteyourjuice.com
  16. I want to live in a lego world! lol
  17. Pretty interesting, although pricey. A tank system designed into the device, could be pretty attractive to low profile vapers. and a 6.5ml capacity sounds pretty awesome.
  18. Glad this helped, but even more glad you're back up and running
  19. I have the black chrome as well and haven't had any issues with the finish. It collects fingerprints like any chrome device, but w/ the black chrome i feel like it's less noticeable, and just gives it a grainy texture look. Doesn't bother me at all. W/ my chrome varitube i had to constantly polish it b/c the fingerprints were driving me nuts.
  20. You might be experiencing the same issue i did with the battery jiggle breaking the connection. Check out these 2 threads for some more info and the solution i used of getting some cheap spacers.
  21. I think gunmetal and black chrome are the same, or at least they're referencing the same vamo device. I got 2 spacers from avid vaper, a 1/8" and 1/16". I've been using them both in 18650 mode and it's made the issue entirely disappear. Tam, i'm totally with ya, but i don't know that that email adress was advertised on their site. Rixter suggested i use it as a way to get right to Rob from Smoktek rather than going thru their customer service channel which was nothing but frustrating for me. I ended up just buying spacers from Avid vaper for a measley $1.50 or so and the issue is fixed. I kind of gave up on trying to convice smoktek to stock spacers and make them an available option for the device. Oh wells. The good news is since i got the spacers, the Vamo has been a total win in my book. Oh yeah, and happy holidays Vapor Talk!
  22. Rixter, I'm prolly around 5ml on the worst of days at 12mg.
  23. Rob, the email i sent was indeed to that email address. I did submit a ticket through your website but felt that the issue wasn't being handled correctly as the rep. continually ignored my points and only stuck to the 'you have the wrong batteries, can't help you' story. I appreciate your looking into it. I've said it before but i'll say it again, I would have gladly paid a few bucks for some magnetic spacers at the time of purchase, and that's really all i was trying to get across through the customer service ticket, that this is an issue with all AW and flattop efest batteries, and that you guys should stock some spacers and remove 'works with flat tops fine' from the product page. Thanks, Dan
  24. I actually got the V2, and still had issues with it. The magnetic spacers i got from avid vaper have made the issues disappear tho and the device has performed flawlessly. Still a bit unhappy with my interactions w/ Smoktek tho. I also have yet to hear back from Rob Davis, so I really can't see myself purchasing from them again. All I asked was that they acknowledge the issue and offer a fix for it that didn't involve spending another $40-50 on new batteries. Stock the spacer, add them as an option for a few bucks. I would've gladly paid more for them.
