  1. Welcome to the forums, you'll find an abundant amount of information on what your looking for. Check out the video reviews, Chris' Youtube videos. Blu's is what I was researching on when initally wanted to switch to vaping, but later on I found out it to be unreliable. Especially from testimonies from other members here on the forums. There are different units out there, 801, 901 and 510 atomizers with they're supported batteries, but for a better experience you might want in on a more advanced mods likes, Vaprlife battery mods (VP1, VP2, VP-PT, Spade) which produce good vapor and flavor. Just one of many mod manufactures. As to where to get them, you can check the supported suppliers forums, there you'll find reviews on the suppliers. So far, I've done business with Vaportalk Store, AwesomeVapor and Vapor Kings. All have supplied me well with refills and replacement parts along with great customer service. Since your looking into a 510, you might want to look at the Vaportalk store and they're Spade Starter kit (Instead of carts, they supply you with juice bottles for direct dripping into the atomizer - which you might want to research about, it's a more advanced method of vaping.), they use a better battery mod with the 510 atomizer. And you can't go wrong with their customer service - if something unexpected happens. AwesomeVapor and Vapor Kings also carry the 510 regular unit your looking into. But, I will leave that to your own judgment. Good luck! And hang in there, it'll take a while to get the learning curve, but once you do, you won't go back!
  2. Oh my god, Keenen! I feel your pain, dude! These are the exact type of deadbeats that makes me fear that people like them will take advantage of the bill if it's passed. I'm all for reform but at the same time what scares me is stories like this of people taking advantage of a service that is meant to benefit the people who really need it! It's simply not honest or even fair! I'm still job hunting, and all jobs I've applied to say they're currently down sizing and need a more experienced person (10 years experience at least.) I was a college graduate 5 years ago! Freelance and side jobs help pay for little things, but now that I need a job, it's no where to be found. It's certainly a FML moment. Love reading everyone's post, thanks for sharing! It helps put a face on the 'for and against' the health care bill, it certainly not a black and white issue. I'm glad no one is dogging anyone else about they're views about it. You guys are great.
  3. What I believe an American version would be like, it would be a complete opposite, made to last and top notch quality. Would be nice to have 1 or 2 attys you can depend on that last more then a year. What I'd like to see is: Easily dissembled (For ease of use to be repaired) Can be easily cleaned Can take the coil and put it into a 901/801/510 housing It's more of a wishlist, but who knows, one of you guys might be a genius.
  4. OH!!! I feel your pain! I just lost 2 atty's this week! I'm down to a semi-used backup backup! I ordered 2 more, but looks like I might have to order another 2 sets. I hope my package comes tomorrow, using this old atty isn't producing much and I'm afraid it might die on me.
  5. You pretty much said what I think, Chris... Normally, I'd stay out of topics like this, cause some people can be really zealous about it. But I figure VTer are more open to hearing others thoughts about it without causing a firestorm. I'm pretty mixed about it, I do believe there should be some type of reform to these health companies that are milking the system. What worries me the most about the health care issue is people milking it, or try to get a free ride off it, increase of tax or screwing up something that is already established that works. (If there is one?) For example, a few years back, before the whole health care thing came up, I was shopping around for health insurance, I found out, If your a woman, you pay more for your health care simply cause you can give birth. If you have diabetes, then paying for meds can be costly, and it's a tier up on payments cause you have diabetes and are considered "unfit". Some meds are only covered by your insurance. If your a few pounds overweight that's a mark up as well cause that's considered overweight. Even age can be a factor. If your not under a big company that provides group health care, or work at home/freelance (I work freelance doing 3D and digital art design and motion graphics for video), you have to get a plan that covers yourself individually. And if you retire or get laid of, there is only so much COBRA (not sure if it's COBRA. I forget) can cover. So eventually, you have to buy an extension of that health care and it can cost over 1,000 a month just to have the same coverage when you had when you worked. I dunno if what I stated still applies - so don't count my words as 100% facts. I only had a health agent run it down for me during that time and it took me over 2-3 months to decide on a plan. I have an individual plan, it's 'okay' payments - 103 bucks a month. It's not too bad but it's not too good either. It doesn't cover small visits or hospital stays and I have to pay out of pocket anything under $4,000 dollars but it adds up to my deductible. It's not bad if I need to get brain surgery or something major. Thing is, I hardly go to the doctor and I usually go when I think I need to. But when I do, it can be at the most worst times I can't afford it. I went to visit a doctor once and had to pay around $500 for 2 visits for the doctor to tell me I had an infection of a lymph node... Another 160 or so for medications. During this time when people are losing jobs, in some cases not only do they lose the job that pays for necessities, they also lose the medical coverage. So if something happens in-between while looking for a job, especially when family is concerned and you have no insurance to cover it, it can screw a family financially. Death panels can go to hell! Who are they to say if someone should be treated or not. Already, the health care companies do that. I've known a few people who hang by the thread of what they're health insurance can okay and not okay and it's just drama over the phone. I'm all for maximizing profits (in a honest, hard working type of way), without profits, there isn't money for medical research - American medical research is above and beyond and if it wasn't for those profits, makes you wonder. But when it concerns a persons life, and money is maximized just to milk a person, that's where I believe I think we need some type of reform, or at least look at what these health care companies are doing. I'm all for it, but at the same time, rushing this issue might cause bigger problems. I'm leaning more towards a health care plan for America, but majority of me is grey about the whole issue. Geez, this is the most I ever wrote here. I didn't want to bring any politics into this, I hate politics. So forgive me if some of this might offend others, I didn't mean to offend anyone.
  6. The snapping in is what probably would sell it for me. Too many carts hardly fit my 901. But I'm a flat-tip type of person. Unless they come up with a 'glove' so I can bite down on it... Didn't know 901 carts can fit into a 510, is that true?
  7. He does a hell of a lot of vapor in his videos, awesome videos by the way, and I'm wondering what the hell! And he usually throws in a few smoke rings here in there. It's nuts! Need to produce mad vapor and smoke rings like him... Yeah, I have to agree, didn't know they had a particular name, some people gave it different names. But subconsciously, I don't think anyone would have a straight face all the time when they smoked. I just sorta naturally played around savoring the flavor.
  8. I've vaped in public, usually at my local Starbucks, outside. I don't want to hassle anyone thinking it's a cigarette and put a negative perspective on ecigs. So for now, I treat vaping like smoking. Even though I don't see the two as the same. Even after I explained a whole slew of information, there are just too many negative people out there trying to bring anything seen unhealthy down - even to a point threatening violence. I remember when I used to smoke, someone got in my face and started yelling at me cause he can smell my smoke from off my clothes! Even when I picked up vaping, I was told smoking that wasn't any different then cigarettes. "It looks like smoke, that obviously isn't healthy." It was ridicules how some people try to force they're opinion on you without any valid points.
  9. Awesome, I've always worked on Macs, but at home have PC so never really intensively used a Mac. I want to get one, one day...
  10. Woah.... this is certainly a concern of mine. That sucks, it's good to get info about this, glad to see we have a resource to check on. I'm sure the Protege is a good mod, but from my experience nothing is always perfect.
  11. Awesome experience! Glad vaping didn't disappoint. I've ran into a few similar experience where I would go, "A cigarette would be good about now." But, I find myself saying that less and less now that I'm vaping.
  12. I saw that same ecig vs. analog smoke rings, while looking for smoke ring tutorial once, haha. Mushroom, French, I can do... But smoke rings... I can never do constant. I've been smoking about a good 13 years and always FAILED at making smoke rings, every time I tried it looked like puffs of smoke instead of rings. Only once and awhile if I luck out, I get a smoke ring. haha.
  13. So true. I had 3 901 attys die on me, two died just this week. Still in the process to see if it's completely dead. One of them worked fine yesterday and when I fired it up this morning, produced nothing. I think it might have been excessive juice in the atty. I had it up right (battery connection downward). It wasn't connected to anything. But, I heard that was bad cause the juices will roll down the coils and onto the battery connection area which can short it out.
  14. Yeah, I found this out a few days ago, when I used to back up to DVD's. I found a batch of DVDs I kept in the closet, so when I checked, it came out almost like clear plastic. The computer only read parts of it, it would have a hard time reading, saying CRC errors. I heard the difference between buying retail DVD's in the store and burning them yourself is that retail DVD's are pressed and have a longer shelf life as to burning.
  15. Get well soon, Keenan! I usually see posts by Keenan, JeffB and TheSmokingMan, seeing you out of the loop doesn't seem complete.
  16. Thanks all for answering my question, I always wondered how many drops would equal 1ml.
  17. I'm vaping as much as smoked, so thats not too bad... I guess? How many average drops to make up 1ml?
  18. Was wondering why there was a lack of Keneen posts, hope to see you back soon.
  19. If your not getting that throat hit, could it be the Nic in the juice? 24MG gave me MAD throat hit, I coughed so much, I had to bring it down to 18MG.
  20. Sorry to hear about all this, that's got to suck. But, not to sound mean, but if I was looking through the eyes of vaprlife, not seeing any VP for weeks, I would've thought, "Great. I got ripped off." Right there, the trust went out the window and down the hill.
  21. Geez, congrats Green. I thought this was a bump of your old topic and re-edited. haha.
