  1. Welcome !! very glad you are vaping full time. you will find tons of info, if you have questions just ask, somebody will be around to help.
  2. Or....there are those of us that are still old school for dripping. less hassel all the way around. http://www.theveteranvaper.com/joye-306-atomizer/ http://www.theveteranvaper.com/306-extended-delrin-drip-tip/ use as is with drip tip or remove bridge and use with drip tip.....drip, vape, repeat
  3. I'm In !!! I agree....Its too cold here. I Miss Hawaii !!
  4. Like Tam said!!! Dripping is my sweet spot for flavor, vapor and throat hit....tanks are great for driving (for me anyway) Like said previously....anybody new to vaping should get the hang of things before trying dripping, just like all things vaping, theres a learning curve.
  5. Welcome !! Good choice to quit smoking. Vaping is a much better choice. Congrats on the soon to be little one !! Not familiar with Firebrand, but looks like an ego type battery. Great place to start.
  6. sorry about the seizure, really sucks Hopefully the tastebuds will recover quickly !
  7. There's a few of those popping up.....I'm pretty sure 8.5 V isn't compatible with any of the current heating elements we have, can't even imagine needing that many volts. Then again....we have plenty of vapers that just like more power because they can.
  8. please don't shoot Tam.....colorado still needs her ! Sorry Jerry...off Topic. As to your question....I have a couple things I add to my fruit flavors that helps me 1. Candy corn flavoring (Flavor west) 2. Ethyl Malto http://www.ecigexpress.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=ethyl. very concentrated sweetener, 1 drop per 10ml is usually more than enough. for me personally....VG over 10% kills the flavor. If you are using higher VG you may need to up you flavoring 30%ish percent.
  9. sorry, not much help with amps....however, 1.5 ohms is a nice low resistance heating element and will work great on any of the ego or ego type batteries. as far as 8.5 volts....that should pretty much burn up any of the heating elements out there. not sure why anyone would need that much voltage. for me, anything over 4.6 causes my tanks to give off a nice burning flavor.
  10. just a few basic precautions and its not too tough. we all handle plenty of dangerous chemicals around the house....bleach, ammonia, lime away....all of which if used improperly can lead to some very nasty accidents. accidentally mixing bleach and lime away = chlorine gas. Granted, I'm sure there are some people that would not be safe to be mixing nicotine or any other chemicals.....
  11. have the counter moved, tables and chairs set up for visiting or hanging. lots of open space for expansion.
  12. Welcome !! Very glad you found us. Happy vaping !!
  13. I recently purchased the poppin Pineapple and grandmas original caramel from VT. Keep in mind, I'm not great with reviews.... * Poppin pineapple: quickly becoming a new favorite....right up there with VT's summer melon. Nice, smooth vape with a great pineapple flavor. This one is great in my flavor rotation. For the most part, I prefer coffee type flavors, but, I always have at least one fruit in the line up and the poppin pineapple is definitely part of my rotation now. *Grandmas original Caramel: Keep in mind....with caramel flavors, I am flavor challenged. Again, a nice, smooth vape (like all the VT flavors I have ever tried). It was a mild caramel flavor, absolutely nothing wrong with the flavor, just a bit mild for me. That being said....I had a friend of mine give it a try and she fell in love with it. Flavor is always subjective. I will always have a soft spot for VT liquids....not only to help support the forum, but because they are a very nice line of liquids, with great flavors. I buy very few pre-made liquids, mine are all DIY, I always keep several VT flavors in my line-up.
  14. I recently visited RINo Vapes (Brick and Mortar), 3519 Brighton Blvd. Denver CO 80216. Its a fairly small store, but has a decent selection of equipment and a very nice selection of liquids. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I ended my visit with a very yummy (0 nic) pearalizing peach and a couple kanger tanks. For those of you in or near the Denver area, I recommend a visit. Its always nice to have a store to visit and to be able to taste the liquids before buying. doesn't hurt that Aquatroy is one of the staff....I really enjoyed the visit !!!!
  15. I have heard decent things about wizard labs. I get mine through ecig express....looks like wizard labs is a bit cheaper though. you would add 3.6 mls of 100mg/ml to 30mls liquid to make 12 mg. wouldn't be enough to alter the flavor, but would add the necessary throat hit.
  16. Welcome !!! Very glad you have joined us. so many Toys and devices !!
  17. A Huge Ditto !!! I have to admit I am a bit biased....I've know Brian since before his Journey into supplier. He was and still is a major asset to this forum. I have been ordering from veteran vaper since he opened shop and have always received excellent, fast service. He is always more than willing answer questions and help getting the right device/setup. The Veteran Vaper is one of my regular supply shops !!
  18. I keep 6 3ml bottles of misc flavors for using throughout the day....those are my dripping flavors. I also have 3 tank setups for when I'm out. I can't stand using the same flavor all day I gave up on fancy storage....tackle box (left over from my early vaping days) is stuffed with misc vaping supplies, coils, extra tanks and what nots.... 1 shoe box for DIY and 1 shoe box for all my liquids
  19. Ya, almost 5 years into the dark side (I hear they have cookies....), Its kinda amazing my hubby hasn't divorced me or at the very least cancelled my credit cards !!
  20. Which Island are you going to? not sure if all the islands have shops. Oahu has several Volcano shops...Volcano is a great product. The only disadvantage is that the batteries are not compatible with many of the tanks available. the batteries are 510 threaded and do work with 510 or 306 atomizers for dripping, they do sell a dual coil tank for the volcano batt. the vivi nova tanks also work.
  21. Congrats and Welcome !! This is a good place to hang out and enjoy your new hobby....yes, most of us are a bit obsessed. The mini PT 2 is great. I love variety...own many types of tanks, flavors, batteries etc. so many options to choose from.
  22. really easy...not much you can mess up. directions as above.....just make sure before you screw the coil back on...check the center post of the heating element (coil) and make sure its tight...sometimes it can loosen up when unscrewing it. Clear as mud?
