  1. Definately a PCC--the only way to go. extra batteries and atomisers are also helpful--just in case you have one or the other go bad. A passthrough is also very helpful for at home when on or near the computer. I find I just buy bits as I go. To start would definately recommend a PCC starter kit and a couple extra batts/atts and of course liquid.
  2. Forgot to add--no matter how you decide to clean or not to clean--just remember to reprime your atty with 2-3 drops of e-liquid before using again--a dry atty tastes very bad, and isn't good for it.
  3. Personally I would vape in my state room--have vaped in nonsmoking hotel rooms--like you said, there is no lingering smell. I am not big on confrontation and vape discreetly in non smoking areas. hold a finger over the light and hold the vapor a few extra seconds--this results in very minimal exhalation of vapor. I have smoked in many non smoking areas without any difficulty. So far so good for me, but then again I prefer to stay under the radar. I have vaped on airplanes, in airports, non smoking casinos, work, walmart, target etc. enjoy the cruise !!!!!!
  4. Cleaning the atty can be done may ways Personally so far the only thing I do to clean the atty every couple days of use I just twist up a corner of kleenex or paper towel and push into the open end of the atty and let lit over night. This absorbs excess liquid very well. a couple other options (I would wait until you are sure the atty is dying --that way nothing lost) 1. coke bath--let the atty sit over night in a cup of coke--rinse with hot water and let sit (open sitde down) to dry 2. boil the atty in water for 3-5 minutes, remove and sit to dry. there are many more theories out there. In 4 months I have lost 2 attys--I am a moderate vaper, so not overly hard on them--but they do get well used. I'm sure others will be in with more tips for you.
  5. concensus is that the liquids are in mg/ml. I use 18mg for the most part. I figure I use about 1.5ml/day that would be about 22mg/day for me. I use to smoke 1 1/2 packs per day--about 30 mg or so--I figure I am using less nicotine now than when I smoked. When I origionally started vaping I kept track of how much I was using by using a 1cc syringe. At that time I think the average drop/ml ratio was 3 drops = .1ml, so about 30 drops/ml (give or take) chemistry and or math were not my best subjects either
  6. Hey J--yet another item to add to my list of wants--I'm thinking this one has moved to the top of the list. It helps that its one of Garry's--I know its handcrafted with love and care--gotta love quality products--UK made no less.
  7. I tried one at about week one and week 2--Like you said--Crap. I do know for a fact I can never go back to smoking--I have completely and forever been able to quit smoking and absolutely love vaping.
  8. Hey Keenan--The separate battery is the component that holds the back up charge--i.e--if the computer is powered down so you don't lose charge. at least thats my understanding. I'm sure at some point the battery would need to be changed--but I would think it should last quite a long time. nothing special as far as care goes. I do alternate atomizers when I am at the computer for long periods--don't know if it makes a difference, but lets them cool off a bit. I know their are sites to get the batteries, I will have to check and see if I can find one--never handy when you need one. I've use Rocky Mountain a couple times and they have been great--the liquids are very good and the prices are reasonable.
  9. like you Keenan--the final push was the 10$ jump in the price of a carton. prior to that It was actually my Mom that came across the information. One of the physicians she works with was using an e-cig to 'quit'. He and I had a lot in common--we had both tried everything in the book and we were both die hard smokers. stuck the info in a drawer--then came the price hike--some research--my wonderful 510 and the rest is history. smoke free and lovin it. I was actually only thinking maybe e-cigs would help me cut down(nothing was going to get me to quit).......
  10. I too love the smell of cigarettes, until I make the mistake and try one--I can't believe I actually thought I like them--Lord knows I smoked enough of them.
