  1. To remove the foil without a pick try this..Push to cart all the way on twist it around 2-3 turns clockwise then remove cart and the foil usually sticks to the atty bridge and you can remove it easy with you fingernail then put cart back on. A new attomizer will soak up alot of the cart before its wet enough to work. IF you remove the inner cart with a paperclip then you have a blank mouthpiece and you can use that to dip the bridge reducing leakage. The stock atty usually comes with a blank cover. They are neater that way if you dip or drip and real easy to rinse out if they get messy.I have a Blu model and it worked better dipping the bridge to prime it thats all a cart does and when it drops off just dip it again. Those tiny carts just dont flow well. When mine worked with a cart I got 1-2 good puffs then it had to rest to fill it back up for a while and sometimes I removed the inner cart and it still had lots of juice in it just wouldnt flow.Mine produced fair vapor with good taste just nothing like a much better 510 model.
  2. Just be careful with dripping with Auto batteries. If you flood the atty it will leak into the battery and they start acting up.My Smoking everywhere model worked great this way but the batteries kept giving out. They do sell manual batteries in the UK for RN models but it was like $50 to get 2 shipped to the US.NO thanks!!!
  3. I noticed the same thing with 510 manual batteries with a carto adapter...Poor performance The Kr batts just worked better, mine are about 2 months old now and it takes a couple of primer puffs to get it going. When I got my KR stuff in early november I could get good vapor on the first puff from a good cartomizer. Now I have to get 2 primer puffs to make it work right.I have even cleaned the connectors chargers and all and still the same. These batteries need a higher voltage regulator or something to keep the volts up.I dont think they last as long as 510 batts my originals are 4 months old and still ticking well.If I have to buy new batteries monthly so be it, the KR's are my on the go model.IF they could cram 280mah into a short battery it would be awesome!!! I will always keep my 510 stock kit.Its my primary at home and backup on the go... when someone is ready to try E-cigs they will, it took me 4 months after I found out about them to give it a go and havent looked back since!!!
  4. So if there is like a Nuke War we need to Vape real heavy and we will be okay!!!LOL Another reason to stock up!!!
  5. Well let my fire back with MHO When are we gonna see analogs in just tobacco and menthol or do they need hundreds of brands/variations that claim there own unique flavors like milds, full flavor, ultra light, turkish blend etc. It would simplify the whole cig buying just to say give me a pack of coffin nails in menthol,That would shrink the whole cig section at the store to two kinds. I wouldnt need to have a favorite version, isnt that what they are trying to do to us!!!! We can still spike our own thanks to loranns and other flavor producing companies they will never be able to tie our hands completely...
  6. definitions of a Solvent: substance that dissolves things: a substance in which other substances are dissolved, often a liquid dissolves or can dissolve <solvent action of water Capable of dissolving another substance. A substance in which another substance is dissolved, forming a solution. A substance, usually a liquid, capable of dissolving another substance. E-juice or E-Liquid is definitly a solution of many different ingredients. But it does sound like they are trying to compare it with words that are scare tactics!!!! I havent read one post yet where E-Cigs where a problem for anyone yet except a alergy to PG which is replaceable with pure VG instead. Just my 2cents...
  7. I find the flavor on these is like a fresh atty on a regular E-Cig type. They do have a slightly different taste than my other models but I like it more. I too am a menthol smoker convert so i need to try that smiling menthol.I have been using menthol type flavors about 60% of the time and 555,apple,banana,tobacco flavors the rest.
  8. Now we need like 30 round atty magazine!! ROFL!!!!
  9. The KR pass thru models (5 Volts)from Vapor Kings have a 5-6 second cut off to protect the cartomizer. They do this because they produce good vapor at higher volts but would burn if vaped to long.Drying out a cartomizer is sure death for the cart.I took one apart after it died and the inner wrap had several burn holes in it around the coil decreasing its contact area making it useless.Mine was burned from normal KR batteries vaped on a cart that was drying out. With higher volts you would need to be more carefull.I am finding that dripping 3-5 drops in the threaded end(battery end)and then cleaning off with tissue keeps it wet and vaping better and its not messy like 510 carts.Today I topped off 1 cartomizer 4-5 times with 5 drops and used it for 15 hours before giving it a rest.Get a real flavor rush from filling it that way.If it tastes burnt its time to refill it and rest it for a while before its too late.If you top them off as vapor decreases they will last longer. The KR and 510 are all I need to keep me happy!!
  10. I use mine at work or on the go now.Really good for driving too. The KR is easier to use but does not give 510 vapor levels maybe 1/2 to 2/3 at best. The flavor is different with a KR than a 510.I find I need strong batteries to make it put out. They do have a 5volt pass thru I need to get one to try.Blank cartos filled with your fav juice is the best way to go I think they work better than most stock flavors. The camel and 555 seem to work best so far in the pre-filled for vapor and flavor of the ones I have tried from Vapor Kings.IF you get a kickin carto I have refilled it for days before it has died off.The trick with them is not to let them get too dry..And for some reason they need to setup for a while after you refill them before they act right.
  11. Its really hard to beat a 510 its the most recomended model from the forum members.Produces great vapor and parts are available at many web sites. Its gonna be around a long time.I got mine from Arno at Awesome Vapor and they are great. They have some good flavors for refills I like the 555(nutty tobacco, very popular) and menthol are my favs with Apple,Virginia and Banana as good also....
  12. another tip: the mouthpiece insert needs to be taken off and washed out too.I take mine out with a thumbtack. There is some juice that gets in there and it helps to clean that out too. If you clean them regularly they will last a long time.I have some that are 3 months old.
  13. The threads are 901 compatible but the 901 batteries need holes in the threads for the cartomizer to work. Altsmoke sells a 510 batt to KR adapter.Mine lasted a week before I lost it.I did not seem to get as much vapor with the 510 batteries so I did not order another.I would have liked to try it with more volts or better newer batteries.Vapor4life has the short KR batts 180mah they are more the size of a RN4081 when put toghether.I am gonna order some of these soon as well as some of their standard 280mah and regular wall chargers.I dont think the batts I have are that good.

901 batteries fit but they need two air holes in the threads to work.I tried to size the hole but I dont have a bit small enough to give you the right size. As far as the liquids try a low nic 9-12mg apple ,that is a mild flavor with a light if any throat kick. They do sell 901 to cartomizer adapter I beleive Alt Smoke has it. The KR suppliers have pass thru's that with a usb car adapter you could use in the car and wouldnt need to worry about battery's at all on the road!!
  15. The 510 cart mods like the tea bag etc sometimes hang up or vapor lock on me and tapping it or pulling off and putting back on helps sometimes to free them up..There are some new carts coming I hear that should be like what we are doing ourselves to the stock ones for better performance.Cant wait to try them out I love my 510 but its alot of work since I am not much into direct dripping all the time...The Kr models dont give as much vapor but they are easier to use and improvements to these are happening right now..Updates are on the way at Vapor4life in early 2010..And if one of them would make a direct fit cartomizer for a 510 it would be great!!!
  16. I take my E-Cig gear with me everywhere, bad weather, boating and all..When I feel any of it is at risk to get wet or dirty I put the cases parts etc in the small heavy duty ziplocks that the mail order E-liquid comes in to protect it.Doing this saved me from a leaking soft cooler front pouch that somehow got flooded and could have taken out a bunch of my gear!!! In a work environment like yours take care of your gear and it will work great..There is also a thing someone did by emptying a hand sanatizer case that looks like a sharpie from the local drug store and removed the inner cap cleaned out and it converts to a nice case with clip to store a E-Cig.It was made for a 510 in the video I saw, but i am not sure if any longer/wider units would fit.

Another thing to try is refilling them from the battery end of the cartomizer, Grim Green has a you tube video of that. But its simple just take cart off battery turn upside down and drip 1 drop into small hole at a time I put about 5 drops in and when the flavor drops off put some more in. The only thing with this is you have to be carefull not to overfill it and the cart cannot be set on a table mouthpiece down while you drop it in or it wont go in.The cart needs air to let the drops go in so set it on a paper towel or hold it leaning slightly to one side. I find I dont tear up the mouthpieces taking them off this way since I am filling from the other end, nothing to take apart! Something new Im trying and it seems to work great.Just watch for leakage into those auto batteries(dont overdue it) and wipe the cartomzer hole clean before you use to keep battery connections clean and I roll it around in my hands to mix it in..

Like Chris said some cartomizer atty coils take 1-3 primer puffs to heat it up and then a slow long 5-10 second drag and you should get better vapor.IF you take a cig like drag on most E-Cigs you wont get much vapor they dont have time to heat up and start to work.I have had a run of weaker cartomizers in my last 3 I have used, they take more primer puffs to work. Also watch the LED on a auto battery as you use it, if its flickering on and off you wont get the vapor you should it should stay on during the whole long drag until it hits the safety cutoff which is 10 seconds for my VK brand auto and manual batteries I have.If its cutting on and off during the drag it wont work as well trust me!!!I had a auto battery that was doing this and I sent it back.I like mine real sensitive so you can take easy draws slowly.Even on weaker cartomizers I can out smoke/Vapor a real Cig. My 510 will average better vapor but its more work to use..
  19. What is the model/name of your cartomizer E-Cig... Most of us that have this type, use the Vapor King / KR-808D-1 model., its the most common one...
  20. I have a few 3ml samples of Arno's banana from Awesome Vapor and I like it, has enough flavor, may want to try that one some time...
  21. Yes it is for alot of us!!! Merry Christmas to all.... Steve D.
  22. Those offended by this are the ones not participating in their kids education..ROFL...
  23. A few of us have VK's and yes you do not have to fill them as often.A empty cartomizer can hold 20 drops thats 2-3 times a 510.The vapor is slightly less depending on your 510 atty and battery condition. But for on the road they are great.I find keeping the batteries for my VK at peak charge works better on weaker cartomizers and a couple of primer puffs will give you great vapor even on weaker batteries/cartomizers.When you get a exceptional cartomizer these things are amazing!..They are a good take on the go no hassle unit with the PCC and a few cartomizers..I really like the VK auto style batteries and just cant get a manual one to perform well.On the 510 manual ones are best choice and are well made. I usually top off a cartomizer with 5-10 drops there are videos out there showing this and I use 2 until they wear down(couple of days) and get two more and go on...they are fairly cheap and not difficult to work with.
