  1. It seems like it might be possible for someone to develop some kind of liquid cooled cone - or one with a fan on it that would activate when you pressed the button. Would drain more off the battery, but only a negligible amount.
  2. Guess what two items I got in the mail today? Despite my negative first reaction to dripping (well, the latest first reaction) I decided to try the dripping atty again. I also ordered some of the MDCCs. Since I've moved to the Ipro as my primary vaper, I've tended towards regular 510 cartos in a J Tank or a Submarine tank. I've been using my LEO again a lot, and miss the big old fatty cartos, so I thought I'd try these again. First thing I did was try out the dripper on my IPro. Not terrible, but even at low voltage it made the atty, drip shield, and the top of my IPro really, really hot! So I unscrewed it (proved difficult), and moved it to my ego 18650 tube mod. That improved things - the flavor was a bit better, but the vapor production on both was kind of sorry. Plus, the occasional super-hot-juice squirting in my mouth wasn't the best... I had to be way too careful when drawing to keep that from happening. And the sudden fowl taste when the atty runs dry... ugh... So then I loaded up one of the MDCCs with the same juice, and screwed it onto my Ipro. Uh oh... doesn't screw down. The skirt just wasn't long enough! Then I remembered I bought one of those 510-510 connectors from my last dripping experiment, and it was still there, unopened. Did the trick. Outstanding. Flavor was a little less than the dripping, but the extra vapor more than made up for it. I tried it on the tube mod, and the results were the same. And the rubber drip tip! Identical to the Boge LEO DCCs! My favorite! Maybe I am just not made for dripping! Hell, the MDCC was so good I will probably be using a lot less of my Jtanks to boot... It also occurs to me that I have way too much vaping ****. The fact that I did all of that just when a shipment came in... that I actually had it all on hand? WTF?
  3. Yeesh, $50 for a LEO battery... I can't believe people are paying that... Maybe someday. I fear this might lead to problems getting LEO parts down the road.
  4. $30 bucks is way out of line, I think. That's at a "don't bother" level for me - $20ish seems for fair to me. That makes it competitive with other like batteries. Why is this one worth $10 more?
  5. I am wondering what the price point will be on the batteries and tanks. I am not big on the tank systems, but I at least want to try it. $60 seems a little steep for the whole kit, especially considering I don't want the juice it comes with, and I don't need the charger, as I have plenty of usb cords and wall chargers around I can use.
  6. More nicotine also results in a darker color, so if you are going with less nicotine, it will be lighter
  7. Sterling Vapor is saying those go on sale on March 7th. Is anyone going to pick one up?
  8. Waaait, what's this about bad Nic from the Vapor Room? Did they issue a recall?
  9. Taking the cap off isn't steeping, BTW, it is ozidizing. Steeping simply means allowing the flavor to penetrate the juice. Time is the only thing that accomplishes this. Oxidizing can affect the flavor of some juices, but it is a different chemical process. If the juice needs to be steeped, just let it sit in a cool, dark place for a while, and let the juice mature on its own. Nothing wrong with oxidizing, but it isn't steeping
  10. They can also be a sign of dehydration. Are you drinking enough water while you vape?
  11. Never implied you specifically. It just seems to be a common theme throughout the intertubes. And if you notice, I never said that the Ipro was better than the Lavatube, I just mentioned why I prefer the former. Bob illustrated it quite well. I like being able to just turn a dial rather than pressing a button a few times to move up or down about a volt. If you want precision, sure - the LED screen will allow you to get that. I've never been one for exact voltage, I know approximate and that is what works for me. The Lavatube may be a more cost effective option, and might work better for others. Awesome if you are in that camp. But saying why I like one unit over an other doesn't mean you are somehow inferior for having the other one...
  12. Hey, I read enough from people talking about how much BETTA! the Lavatube is that I can be defensive And if it makes you feel any better, I have no desire to go anywhere near your undies...
  13. And people wonder why I say I don't want a Lavatube since I have an Ipro lol
  14. What is the difference between the Grand and the Mini? For the same price, I am having a hard time seeing why it is better to get the small one... Not dead-set mind you, but if I get something else, until more epipes are in stock, that's about it.
  15. Well, you don't use very much anyway. When you use it in aromatherapy, you only use like a drop or two for 1/4 cup of water. Maybe that little actually would work.
  16. Well, like I've said before - I am looking to fill niches. When I smoked a pipe, I always had 4 or 5. And I would smoke them on different occasions. My LEO I take with me fishing, or occasionally with me to work. My Ego tube mod is what I use when I am playing video games, or when I am going out somewhere and want to have the mod instead of the LEO. The Ipro is primarily at home vaping, or when I want to up the voltage. I still plan to get an epipe mod, but I just had a feeling the box was going to offer something a bit different. I ordered 2 more atties - this time the dripping variety. Perhaps if I get the hang of that and like it, I'll revisit the box for my dripping device. The bottle seems to fix my annoyance with actually getting out the juice and dripping constantly...
  17. Yeah, that seems to be the best way to go. Sadly, since the only ones they have in stock are the few colors no one seems to want, once again I find myself with money I am willing and able to spend, and nothing to buy. A bit unexpected!
  18. Oh, I wasn't saying that $100 is my limit, but rather somewhere around there. Of course, I went to reomods, and pretty much everything is out of stock. I am really not having luck with mods I want to buy these days... Do box mods require attys?
  19. Wait... Really? Umm... You know, I think that should be in an FAQ somewhere...
  20. So I unexpectedly sold an old board game for a cool hundred bucks. Should I bank it, or buy a mod? What do you think? I think it's time for me to try a box mod. Any suggestions?
  21. I know people think a smaller unit is better for a beginner, but there is no reason to embarrass yourself
  22. I have to say, it is absolutely outrageous that we don't know what he was using yet. It is irresponsible for the media not to found out, and absolutely incompetent of the fire department who not only HAD the device, but has been in contact with Holloway. And while I definitely feel bad for the victim - he has a responsibility here. I get that he is probably embarrassed, but he is internet savvy (he has a Facebook page). He hasn't thought that it would be a good idea to let people know what he was using and maybe what he did wrong, so that other vapers don't share the same fate he does? If you are hiking in the woods and you fall in a pit, you shout to warn others not to fall behind you. It is quickly getting to the point where we have to ask what the hell is wrong with him that he hasn't put that information out there.
