Keeping markings on DIY syringes

I have read about people using finger nail polish so the marking don't wear off but every time I tried it pulled them off. What do you use to keep the numbers from fading away

Good old-fashion Scotch Tape!

What Earthling said ^^^ You do need to change it, I do often, but it will last a typical DIY'er a while before you need to pull it off and re-do it.
