Trident v2 dual coil build help!

Hi! i got my 1st mech 3 days ago and built a dual coil 5 wraps of 30g on each coil and read about 2.6 Ohm on my multimeter wich has a 0.9 ohm so its about 1.5-1.7 Ohm wich is a bit higher than i aimed but its my 1st build ever, im not having any shorts or warming issues just that it takes a little to long to warm up the coils and start producing a good amount of vapor and 1 of the coils seems a bit more burnt than the other one thats what i am concern about I am using a sony 18650 30a battery

Questions are:

How do i know if i have a short and thats what is burning 1 coil more than the other?

Should i aim for lower Ohms for a faster heating-vapor production coils? if so i only have 30g wire will this be achieved by less wraps or more wraps

Tyvm i hope some one can answer my questions!

Two things -

Is the resistance balanced between coils? The wicking material needs to be balanced as well. If juice flow is not equal to each coil they will perform differently.

The position and size of the air holes relative to the coils is important.

I for some reason couldn't pull the pics up on my internet, my computer is retarded... lol However, I can tell, you have a basic knowledge of what you are doing and own an ohm meter so I feel comfortable with saying... play around with different coils. Try using different gauge wire and vary the wraps till you find the gauge and wraps that suits your needs and likings.

No one will be able to tell you exactly what to or how to build a coil that's perfect for you, building coils honestly is something that you have to expirement with (safely mind you.. lol) There are many different things that come into play with building coils that can effect how they perform, as stated previously, flooding, wicking, how far from the deck or how close to the deck the coils are, where your airholes are in relation to the coils, how big your airholes are, how tight your post screws are, how much cotton or wicking material you have packed in, etc.

some one on the reddit forums helped me out.. it seems that one of the coils wasnt making a connection.. i just tightened down one of the posts and the ohms went down to 1.7-1.8 wich is about 0.8-0.9 and the vapor production improved a lot
