One of my buddies did his to remove the black from it rendering it full copper. It didn't work, mine apparently has a better coating than his lol. It did clean it up real well for me tho! :P

Ended up going a different route, but got the job done! Still need to polish though!

What did you do to get the black off Vince?

Ended up using a little Goo Gone, a rough sponge (like the ones for cleaning dishes), and a soft wire brush (I have a nice little one I use for detailing cars, worked great).

Took me about 45 minutes to do it all, minus polishing which I'm getting ready to do lol

First pass with never dull on the 18350 tube. Will probably do 2-3 more before Im satisfied.

I know this will sound crazy but ketchup will take the black patina off copper. Not sure it may be the vinegar in it. Try it with a penny made before 1982

You're right. But this wasn't black patina it was some sort of paint Yes they sell ones that are already copper. But they weren't released yet when I bought mine. And I like the black copper logo much more
