There is no voltage regulation in a mechanical. Battery in a tube with a switch. As the battery power decreases so does the voltage to the 510 connection. Most regulated mods are incapable of firing a sub ohm load, so mech's are needed. It's just a different way to vape.

Don't forget about when it goes nuclear, turning into a pipe bomb because you don't realize the battery is venting all due to you refusing to do research and stay within the limitations of your battery while you are chasing that ultimate cloud in the sub-ohm sky. Other than that tiny little thing, there is less to malfunction. Bwahaha :D

Mechanical mods have zero wires. Nothing breaks, except the battery spring which are easy to replace.

They are great for using with the Kick, a wattage setter portable disk which is adjustable in power levels. The Kick also acts as a fuse.

Mech mods most often use the aw-imr type battery. These range in sizes from 350-650 with others smaller, others larger. Ie.. Nemesis, Poldiac, Precise, Roller, Caravela,

A semi -mech mod has a wire for the fire button, but no other electronics. Ie .. Silver Bullet

But you can add a Kick.

A non-mech mod has electronics built in, plus the switch is wired too. Provari, vamso, etc.
