Not A Smoking Cessation?

Why isn't vaping considered a smoking cessation? I've been off analogs for over 90 days! No patch, pill or gum has been that successful for me!

If e-cigs are promoted as smoking cessation devices they would come under the purview of the FDA. They would then require years of testing and millions of dollars to get approved by the FDA. It would effectively shut down the e-cig industry. We dont want that. That is why they are an alternative to smoking.

I realize this is an oversimplified answer but thats basically it.

I agree. We really don't want the FDA with any control over this. honestly for me anyway, its a smoking alternative. Yes, I have quit smoking. But, I have also replaced it with vaping. Honestly, I really don't plan to stop vaping.

I'm in agreement with all the above. I just wish the state governments would leave well enough alone and worry about their states going bankrupt instead of e-cigs. We have all, well most all, quit smoking analogs and e-cigs are an alternative to smoking, like Jeff said. I for one want to keep my alternative, I love vaping.

Chewing gum is not listed as a smoking cessation device either and a lot of people use it or hard candy.I did until my dentist got on me.
