  1. I haven't had that experience with the KR808 PT yet, but mine is new. I can suggest how to rule out the computer ports though. If you have wall adapter plug the passthrough in it and plug into wall. Then if it still doesn't work you'll know it's the PT, if it does work it would indicate something is wrong with the computer ports.
  2. There is no e-cig that is like an analog, but once you find the pv and flavors you like, it is better than an analog. I'm not going to make any suggestions, but will tell you the path I've taken to find what works for me. I started with the Joye 510 and it was okay. Then I went to the 510 tank system. Better. Then the eGo tank system. Even better. Next cartomizers. They were better still, on both the 510 and the eGo. The eGo battery lasts longer but I'm not crazy about the size. So I tried the KR808D, which uses cartos too. I really like them and get as big a 'kick' out of them as the eGo. I like the smaller sized pv's, but that's just my personal preference. I still use the 510s and eGos that I have, just now prefer the 808s. Juices are also a matter of personal preference. I prefer the tobacco flavors, even though they don't really taste like actually smoking. I've tried a lot of different juices and have a few now that I really like. My very favorite is Bounty Hunter from nitelitevapor.us. It's a bit of Heaven in a bottle....lol Vaping is a little expensive in the beginning unless you are lucky enough to hit on the right pv for you right away. Same thing for the juices. Okay, I will make one suggestion. Read the reviews and advice and then order a kit that looks like it will suit you. Also order a few liquids to try. The important thing is to get started. Once you try that first pv and a few juices you'll start to get an idea of what might work for you. Good luck!
  3. I have the ego-T too. I started with the 510, then went to the 510T and finally the ego-T. I love the tank system and use them both but my favorite setup is the 510-T atty and tank on the ego battery.
  4. Finding Vapor Talk got me back to vaping....full time. The information, advice and encouragement I got here helped me find the right PVs to make vaping satisfying and enjoyable. Now that I'm narrowing down the juices I like best it's getting better and better. Although I do a lot of reading on the forum, I'm not a big poster. Sorry, Chris, you won't make much off me! LOL I will be forever grateful to this forum and all the great folks here.
  5. Hi. I had a similar thing happen. My likes in juices is different from yours, I like tobacco flavors that are just slightly sweet. A couple of weeks ago I filled up my tank with RY4 and it tasted horrible. Then I tried my other brand of RY4.....it had the same horrible taste. Then the next day I tried them again and they tasted great again! I have no idea what caused it. Could be changing taste buds. Vaping right after eating some foods makes the juice taste "different" to me for a minute or two. This is probably not helping you any, but I thought I'd let you know I've had a similar experience.
  6. We're almost neighbors. I'm just a little south of you in Finnytown in Hamilton county.
  7. Welcome, ktk. You'll like the ego. My ego batteries last all day and into the next day.
  8. Around the house I've been using mostly eGo-T's and a 510 PT. When I go out I still like to take my 510-T's, I like the small size. Lately I've been trying out cartomizers, but can't quite get the knack of topping them off. I either add too much or too little. Gads, if I could just get it right, 'cause I really like them. And using cartos would eliminate washing all those little plastic tanks.
  9. I'm new here too but thought I'd offer my 2 cents worth. I started with the Joye 510, but hated messing with the carts so I got a couple of 510-T attys and tanks. Then I got the Ego-T kit. Now I have the option of tanks, cartomizers or dripping with the Ego battery or the smaller 510. You need to think about how and where you will be using your e-cigs. My assortment works well for me but might not for you. Right now I have an Ego w/tobacco in a tank, an Ego w/bakery juice in a tank, a 510 w/vanilla in a tank and a cartomizer w/tobacco on my 510 pass through on my desk at the same time. I like variety! lol You won't be wrong starting with either one of them, the Joye parts are interchangable. The Ego has a much longer battery life though. The most important thing is the switch from smoking to vaping. Good luck!
  10. A couple of days ago I went through the Wendy's drive-thru. Had a Joye 510 in my hand and the girl at the window asked me if it was a new kind of insulin thing. lol I explained what it was but don't think she'd ever heard of e-cigs before.
  11. Hi Joker, I'm glad you asked that question about cleaning the stomizer, I was wondering about it too. I just got my ego-t kit yesterday. I really like it! After I blew out the new attys I worked the corner of a paper towel into the atty and let the towel sop up any primer left in it. I hope you enjoy your ego-t as much as I'm enjoying mine!
  12. Until I found this forum I was having a real hard time with wanting analogs. After reading thru lots of threads I learned I wasn't even vaping right, I was drawing on my 510 the same as if I was smoking. Just vaping right has been a big help for me. Following some of the good advice by others here I got two 510-T addys with tanks and some tobacco flavored juice. That's helped too, the tanks are easier to deal with than that filler. Today I decided to bring in the big guns. I ordered an ego-T kit. This will give me more options. My 510 addys can be used to drip if I want a lot of flavor. Dripping is another thing I learned here, I'd heard of it but had no idea how to do it. You all have given me new hope that I can finally ditch the analogs. But I'm weaning myself off of them. Today I had two, one after breakfast and one after dinner. Just stopping cold is a frightening thought, I've smoked for about sixty years. But don't try to figure out my age from that, I started smoking years before I was born.
