  1. Since I picked up an ultrasonic cleaner I have also switched to all RBA's.  So I can't really say too much about drop in coils.  No real experience.  With RBA coils the US cleaner does a pretty nice job.  Sometimes I need to knock off a few spots with a brush but they are loose after a cleaning.  I do pull the cotton however before I clean as the cotton will hold on to grime more than wire and metal.

Hey Walt, what kind of wire do you use for your RBA's? I'm going to start building my own coils and was wondering if ss is best overall. I do want to stay away from Ni200.

  2. I was wandering if anyone had tried cleaning used drop-in coils for extended use using any of the many methods on YouTube?

I tried it on my coils from several tanks I have and I get about 3 months of use per coil vaping daily.

Once cleaned, they are practically like new. Ive only cleaned each one twice so I've never gone beyond that as I suppose I've achieved the max value from each coil.

    Any positive/negative experiences???

  3. Thanks for the feedback! I know a lot of new users get hung up on what to choose. One of the things I'd like to get going on the store is a "learning area" which might help with that. especially to those that are brand new

Another good thing for noobs on the VT Store would be suggestions of items that go/work well together. For example, if I picked a mod, there could be a suggestion on a couple of tanks, coils, batteries, etc. When I was a noob, this would have been great.
One of the things that a noob needs to understand is the 510 system, coils are pretty straight forward but the batteries can be daunting; imr, inr, icr, high drain, without protection, mAh, 18650, 18350, 26650 included with the ijoy limitless but not sold in the battery section. Also, no idea what this means: Warning: Never use a short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If unsure whether this pertains to your particular set-up, DO NOT assemble and use. Always use proper precautions and handling.

    Much thanks & Cheers

  4. I was introduced to the VT Store via the Bekuali kit sold on Groupon Canada. These were great intros to vaping and bought lots for family and friends to try. The hardest thing when it was time to try something new on any site was what coil and batteries go with what mod and tank. For a noob, the starter kits are a great way to start. I found the forum on the VT site and learned a lot in the past six months. Now I have no problem ordering almost anything. The biggest thing that kept me coming back to the VT Store is the customer service, second to none imo. I once ordered coils from Heavens Gifts in China that did not work and it was a really bad experience to get that settled. Now I comparison shop between 180smoke.ca which has local outlets in Canada and Vaporworld.biz. So far I've only bought stuff at the VT Store because the prices are competitive and I know the customer service is excellent! The only thing I may shop for is bulk vg, pg, nic & flavors should I decide making my own juice. But for now, I only go through one 30ml bottle a week vaping leisurely. My next mod purchase is a toss up between the eleaf ipower, Smoketech Alien or G Priv.

  5. I don't know about that.  I routinely run coils at .15 ohms and I use a few juices that are 60/40 or 70/30 VG/PG and I don't get any popping.  I have, however, heard of similar issues specifically with the notch coils.  I seem to recall seeing a solution somewhere on a different site.  I'll take a look around and see if I can find it.

Would it be possible that the notches on either side over saturate the coil? I tried putting in just enough juice below the notches but the same problem occurred.

  6. I need some words of wisdom. I have a Smok XPro M45 which has vw & mech modes with a Cubis Pro tank which came with coils. The Joyetech BF Coils .5/.6 ohm coils work great. When I drop in the Joyetech NotchCoil .25ohm, it gurgles, spits, boils and gets really hot. I've tried both wattage and power modes and have adjusted the watts and airflow and can't get it to work. It's rated 30-70 watts and I've tried going a little lower which doesn't produce much cloud but still gurgles and increments of 5 above 30 to the max I can go of 45 watts.

Appreciate any help folks and much thanks!

  7. I found out about the VT store/website through Groupon in Canada and I placed an order for the Bekuali starter kit. I see that Groupon still has it though I've read a couple of reviews that mentioned once they purchased the Groupon and directed to the site, folks found the Bekuali starter kit cost less on the site than with the Groupon. The starter kits are a great intro to vaping and to the VT site and I purchased several for friends and family to try. Great deal at only $10 bucks!

  8. Hi everyone, well here I go again with a noob question, please forgive my ignorance. Is a drip tip the same thing as a mouth piece? The reason I'm asking is I want to change the mouthpieces of my Joye eGo AIO and Joye eGo D16 AIO or other mods I have ordered.

    Thanks so much folks! [emoji1360]

  9. Thank you all for such great input. I've learned a lot with the different topics at the VT forum and appreciate how helpful and thoughtful the folks are here. I went on YouTube to view how to make coils and ejuice, but it's not something I'm keen on at this time. I did learn a lot about the differences between RBA, RTA, RDA & RDTA's as well as cartomizers, clearomizers, tanks, batteries, 510 system, mods, chargers and health and safety. I was so intimidated and overwhelmed by it all but now find it pleasurable and exciting when I shop at the VT Store. I suppose we all were noobs at one time and a little patience and education goes a long way to rid of anxieties of the vaping world. [emoji1360]

  10. Yep, sad but true...The higher the wattage the more juice you blow through.
@Adversarious1 can tell you about the baby beast tank and higher wattage set ups. From his posts he says the coils last quite awhile but it does go through the juice if I remember right.
Personally, I prefer to sub-ohm, but I build my coils most of the time,  keeping them around the 0.3- 0.5ohm range, and vape around 35W. You can opt for temp control and keep it cooler. No matter what though you're going to have to adjust your juice budget if you're going for your current sub-ohm upgrade. I have an AIO that I use to run to the grocery store with and it uses very little juice compared to my other tanks. For juice,  I prefer either 70vg/30pg or max VG juices and go through about 30-40ml a week , more if I'm stressed or bored as I tend to grab my mod more...  [emoji6] and yes it can fog up the office in record time if I'm chain vaping LOL
I think you'll enjoy the SMOK 45 and  Cubis pro tank, it's sort of a "middle of the road" set up and the cubis pre-made coils in SS have good flavor have different wattage options so you can experiment.
No matter what...Just have fun with it  [emoji4]

I am going through about 5ml per day with the Joye eGo & Joy eGo d16. I vape casually all day and the battery for each lasts about two days. I was going through only 2.5ml daily with the Bekuali pen at 1.8ohm. Thanks for your input everyone. Also learning a lot about vaping through YouTube, google and online searches. [emoji1360]

  11. I've been vaping for over a year now and wanted to know about the different styles that folks use to personalize their vaping experiences. I started with a pen style eCig by Bekuali from the VT store that I enjoyed and it came with eliquids and coils -1.5, 1.8, 2.5ohms. Then went to Joye eGo AIO's and was blown away by sub-ohm clouds, but went through a lot of ejuice.

Just ordered the Smok Xpro M45 mini box with cubis pro tank which is sub ohm and has variable voltage. I put my self on a wait list for the SMOKTECH G PRIV 220W TC AND TFV8 BIG BABY BEAST FULL KIT.

What I want to know is how can I produce a lot of cloud but not go through so much ejuice?

I'm really not into building my own coils or making my own ejuice.

    Appreciate your input [emoji4]

  12. I started vaping a year ago with the Bequali starter kit and enjoyed it very much. Last Fall, I bought a couple of Joye eGo AIO's and was blown away by the sub-ohm clouds but they sure go through the juice quickly. I've just ordered a Smok Xpro M45 mini box which has a built in battery with the Cubis Pro tank. Now just waiting for the SMOKTECH G PRIV 220W TC AND TFV8 BIG BABY BEAST FULL KIT to be in stock.

    My questions are:

1.since I consider myself only an intermediate daily user, how would I get started in building coils?

2.Do users do it to save money or make personalized coils to suit their needs?

3.Can it be dangerous and is it worth the effort and frustration over ready made coils?

4.How about the equipment needed taking into account that I have no knowledge of buildables?

5.Should I just stay with the starter kits as they already come ready to go and I just have to pick matching coils and batteries which is easy for me now than a few months ago?

Sorry, I know it's a lot of queries and really appreciate any feedback.
