  1. I would try the kangertech ssocc nichrome or stainless wire.my subvod mega tc came with a stainless coil installed, the flavor was excellent, and it is a .5 like the one you are vaping with, but it will be easier on your battery than the Clapton coil.the stainless coils lasted me a week,at the least.the nichrome wire is listed as ssocc, but that refers to the casing, not the wire, they have red o rings, the true stainless have pink o rings, and are also listed as ssocc.if you need them in a hurry,I know vapor authority has them, but I would check the vaportalk store as well.also what tank are you using and what is your vg/pg ratio on your juice?higher vg juices seemed to tax my battery for some weird reason.another thing to add,you are in wattage mode, correct?you might try disconnecting the tank and resetting it into wattage mode,I'm sure you know when you vape in wattage mode the button glows red; ) I hope we can get this resolved soon, and good luck!
  2. Welcome, and ask away!!people here are super friendly, get back to you fast, and are very knoweledgable.if you need gear,I would check out the vaportalk store, very low prices and fast free shipping.I order just about everything here, except juice,I use zamplebox. If you need something that is not in stock, give Christopher a shout,he is really good, and usually gets it within 24 hours.what's your current set up?and congrats on making the switch!!
  3. Welcome and congrats!I think you will love it here!I pretty much exclusively order everything I need at the store here, free shipping on everything.the only thing I do not order here is juice, I use zamplebox for that.but I have fallen in love with the vt store, the shipping is always on time too.
  4. Loving my wooden drip tip I got here,I was getting crazy spitback with it at every wattage,so I took a tiny pair of manicure scissors and widened the top hole, vaping beautifully ever since,I love it!have my eye on a long jade drip tip from fast tech,it's hole is already as wide as I need it to be haha.but for the price and free shipping and such an easy fix,I have not a single complaint! Plus I have come to hate delrin, off I know,I just don't like the feel of it at all!so good deal all around.I love the smoothness of the polished wood!
  5. Three new tips here at vt...big ming wins!love the wooden but got a touch of spitback....gotta try it in the big mod once the batts get done @spydre the wooden are really smooth and very pleasing!will see about the spitback after a while and let you know, but the flavor is awesome!
  6. Awesome sauce!I don't have to go put away a perfectly good coil!now excuse me,I have to Nic up !I put my batts on the charger like three hours ago,I had been running the .8 kanthal, and swapped to the .5 stainless yesterday ,lol I am running on a single tank....until I get paid again haha!
  7. Hey that's great!lawd do I hate antibiotics, they make me *gain*weight every time for some reason, like I get starving within 30 minutes of them.luckily I don't get sick but maybe once a year!
  8. No I guess I should have said power mode?not tc,just wattage mode.I knew I couldn't do the other
  9. Can I run my stainless coils on my istick 40 watt tc in wattage mode?I have done it before but with a kangertech tank, I am now using the crown 2,I just don't want to blow myself up.as much as I would love the convenience, I would rather be safe
  10. How are those teeth?I once had a root canal, and after about a year,it started hurting again....they had to go back in and first deaden the rest of the nerve, that apparently didn't get removed, then cut the entire thing cut out.it sucked!hope you are feeling better......my wisdom teeth all had to be cut out too...they were impacted.dental work sucks!!!feel better soon.
  11. Happy dance for you,way to go!!!it's been 2 years for me,down almost 100lbs,and stable on my meds (bipolar1 &ptsd) for over eight months now.....first time in ten years....I think things just get better!congratulations, you are living now!!!
  12. If I showed you guys meds, you would probably be afraid!lol
  13. @spydre I have noticed a wicking issue,I stab all four cotton ports with a saftey pin before I prime them, they have lasted about a week for me that way.maybe the wicking issue is making your tank so hot?plus before I started doing that it did flood quite a bit.no problems since then.I have been using the kanthal, but as soon as this one is spent,I'm trying the .5 stainless in tc mode again,I will give you an update when I do!
  14. Haven't got the tips in yet,but I will keep you posted.I haven't had any of those issues with the crown 2,well the leaking, but only once, when I had left my airflow open 4 hours while asleep.but the getting hot thing,it gets a touch warm when I chain vape ,never hot.I have been using a plastic, not even Delrin drip tip, even when I cranked it up to 80 watts, when I first got it,I never had a problem,I wonder what's up with that.what coils are you using and what is your wattage? Maybe we can get this figured out!
  15. Good to know,I think I will be happy, based on the one I bought at the vapeshop, and the ones I bought, here,it is like combining the good features of both,if that makes sense, lol.just realized I ordered two of the ming wooden tips, which is good, because I plan on picking up another crown 2,so I can run a separate tank for the stainless and kanthal coils....yes laziness, lol.I want one tank solely for tc haha.I will also be picking up the new 80 watt tc eleaf mod, internal battery,as my new back up for when I am charging my batteries,as I have kind of outgrown my istick 40 watt, and it doesn't support the stainless coils, life will be ever so much easier!of course I will keep all of my back ups,lol you never know!
  16. Zamplebox had me give them a pic of my i.d.,I trust them, have been using them for a year and a half, but should I be worried?the only other place I order from is here, and if I recall correctly it was just my date of birth.
  17. That makes me feel ever so much better, thanks y'all, yet again!btw, when do I need to replace these guys?
  18. They required a full charge.but my soon to be brother in law told me he used to ship batteries, and he had to send them that way because they are lithium, risk of explosion.this was my first battery buying experience, the word clueless comes to mind, lol!the last ones I had were gifted to me.I got the exact same kind;)
  19. So when your batteries arrive do you generally have to charge them before use?I got mine this morning and put them on the charger, just in case, they needed charging...just wondering if I maybe got jipped?they were in super nice packaging, individually wrapped, and in plastic cases,I checked them, they are authentic.
  20. No,not me,I have no clue on the dripping business, thus the blonde comments, I still order my coils, lol.I just know about wicking....alot!
