  1. That's actually what I was asking... what is everyone's sweet spot., like you just said, everyone have a different one...I wasn't asking what is the optimal settings for a vaporizer.... never mind...
  2. Sticky button ?...I never had that problem with vaporizers, but I remember one of my kids toys had a sticky button that made the toy go on and off by itself..it ended up flying through the window...
  3. Similar set-up to mine... with high VG e-liquids you need to do dry hits regularly to force the e-liquid through, when I start to get the burn taste I do 3 or 4 over the top inhales without the power button press, and that normally fixes it.
  4. I don't know how the situation is the USA, but here in the UK they starting to almost give starter kits for free..you can get yourself an "average" vaporizer for the price of a couple of packs of cigarettes...
  5. Honestly, those cig like things are a waste of cash... you can get this days starter kits vaporizers for about £10, with a proper airflow and power settings. Also the e-liquids have better tobacco flavours than that silly cartomizers. If you want something disposable like, just buy one of those starter kits every week.
  6. That is the technical way to do it... I use a more simple system. I keep changing the power to I get a nice sweet hit in my tongue, then I know I hit the right.setting for that e-liquid, is becoming a familiar moment..is a nice sweet hit that lets me know that I'm there.
  7. Fair enough, but... how you know you hit that sweet spot ? Is twice now that I set the battery at the correct power for a couple of friends.. and both went; Wow !, this is so good !!! A lot of people don't know how that sweet spot suppose to feel.
  8. What's the sweet spot in vaping ? Mine is when you get a sweet hit in your tongue at first, then a strong flavour in your mouth as you inhale the vapour, and then a soft after taste as you exhale the vapour. What is yours ?
  9. A good way to see it is like cooking..if you use to much heat you'll burn the food, if you use to little your food won't cook correctly..to much heat will also ruin your frying pan, and you will have to buy a new one every few meals.
  10. I only guessing here..but isn't the life of the coil related to the power you using ? I try to keep the power of my battery at a sensible setting..enough for a good hit but without a massive cloud, and my coils seems to last forever.
  11. I was just about to say that Tam... beat me to it. Happen to me once, and was because some of the e-liquid went into the gap between the battery and the tank, and it offset the pin position.
  12. Great idea this... sadly I already donated all my old stuff to a friend that wanted to quit smoking, and didn't want to spend to much cash switching to vaping. But I will keep this thread in mind next time I get something new.
  13. I been using Kanger since I started vaping, I never had any problems... solid build, well made stuff. In fact I only changed the coil once in 6 months of vaping.
  14. Sorry about your losses, easy to fall of the wagon under that circumstances... Next time you try get the right equipment, it makes a huge different, you need to put a bit of cash at front to start correctly. Also make sure that the power is set correctly, a lot of people doesn't enjoy vaping because they aren't getting the correct hit.
  15. I normally link strong taste with high PG..and softer taste with high VG... of course, now I realize that is not always the case . Also, I wish they put a lot more information in the bottles, like the amount of artificial flavour, if they have any artificial sweetness or sugar, and what type of PG and VG they use ( Pharmaceutical grade or not )
  16. Good news I guess, except for the 18+ thing..I won't let my 14 years old kid anywhere near e-liquids, I just worry that he won't handle the e-liquid correctly...
  17. They needed a " study " for that ? They could just asked any ex-smokers..is one of the first things I noticed when I started vaping.
  18. Honestly, that is one of the things I find the most confusing about vaping....some companies don't like to give away their " secrets ", so you have to guess what they doing with the mixes.... the best e-liquids I have they don't have the PG / VG percentage in the box, or the bottle... and if you ask them they make you feel like a spy trying to steal their secret recipe...
  19. Maybe I just been unlucky with the low VG ones I tried... in general they don't work with very sweet flavours, but they work well with things like tobacco. I should try that Fusion one, looks interesting.
  20. Watermelon is one of my favourite fruity flavours, but you really need a strong sweet hit to make it work... the low PG ones don't have that strong kick.
  21. Watermelon being a sweet flavour is better with high PG anyway...I tried a high VG one already, and isn't that good.
  22. Is a combination of things... fill up the tank to the top and let the wicks suck up the e-liquid for abut 30 minutes, then do few dry hits ( without pressing the power button ), then lower the power to the very minimum that you battery allows, and do quick hits..4 or 5 in a row... then set the power to the correct settings for the e-liquid resistance, and you good to go,
  23. Make sure that the batteries are set correctly in the slots, as I understand it, that is a common problem with that chargers. Move the batteries around to the light stops blinking.
  24. I must be the only person that actually downgraded after I tried one of that monster vaporizers...I like a more settle hit with a softer flavour..it is such a thing as " to much power ", probably the wrong thing to say to Americans... but.
  25. I just realized that you using the same battery as me... so I can give you a reference point.. I use U3.8 / P8.5 for 1.7 resistance e-liquid with higher PG levels, and U3.5 / P8.0 for 1.5 resistance with lower PG levels. It works for me, it may work for you too.
