If you like cotton, give rayon a try! It's synthetic silk, they sell it at Sallys beauty supply. It comes in a cotton ball form, but rayon has uniform strands and wicks insanely well. It also stays a lot cleaner! I use it in all my drippers.

Also the smaller the wire gauge, the more resistance. 30 gauge wire will take a lot less wraps to reach 1.5ohms than using say, 20 gauge wire which is a lot thicker than 30 gauge.

I recommend a Kayfun, as for the coils question. If you have a single coil that is 5 wraps equaling 2.0 ohms (hypothetically,) and you add a second coil that is 5 wraps, it cuts the resistance in half down to 1.0ohms. I hope that makes sense.

I'll have to give that build a try. I just did some twisted 30g dual parallels. 0.2ohms. The flavor is extreme, a little warm, but tons of flavor.

They are the same, they were all by Firestone, but that caused some issues with the original Firestone company. After that, they changed the name to Dovpo. Hope that helps! Sorry for double post, but I own an LVT myself (the Dovpo version) and It's a really solid mod if you get a decent price on one.
