  1. Since you didn't soak the wick you need to wait a little while befor vaping so the juice can make it to the coil.
  2. I just built my first RDA (omega). I used 28 gauge on a 3mm screwdriver, did 7 wraps, dual coil. IIt ended up being .86 ohms. You definately need an ohm reader so you can be sure your build is correct. I'd suggest starting at a higher resistance. A B&M built my first one at .3 ohms and it was unvapable (way too hot).
  3. Ha...they definately aren't that big.
  4. It was an omega clone, which had 2 really big air holes stock. Still really hot though.
  5. I got my stuff in today. I went to the local vape shop and had them do my first build. They built a .3 ohm dual coil. In the shop when I hit it it was pretty harsh, but I enjoyed it because of fhe amount of vapor produced. Got home and vaped it a little more and it was just not tolerable, way too harsh. It wasn't the nic content (4mg) but the heat of the vapor. That vapor was ridiculously hot. After hitting it a couple times the atty would get really hot and drip tip would almost burn my lips. I put a longer drip tip on that I have, but still couldn't handle the heat of the vapor. I tore that one apart and built my own coil (only had one piece of ekowool, mine amazon order has yet to arrive). It ended up being 1.3 ohms and is much more vapable (ill probably build one a little lower next time, closer to 1). Maybe I just needed to get used to the subohm, but I don't see how anyone could vape like that.
  6. Probably more in it for the flavor, for clouds I could use the omega from what I've heard. I don't mind spending some money, just don't wanna get completely ripped off.
  7. Thanks for the info... The magma paradigm looks awesome, but its $115. I may pick one up once I'm sure I enjoy building coils and dripping, but that's a good chunk of change to spend having never even tried a dripper. Anyone make a decent clone of it? Any recommended patriot clones (I know hcigar has one)? Should I stop being cheap and just buy the real thing? If I go to an ecig store and get an RDA will it be the real thing or will they sell me a clone for the price of a real one?
  8. I should be getting my first mod and RDA (hcigar nemesis and omega clone) in the mail tomorrow. I've been vaping on EVODs, ego twists, and vision spinner 2 for a couple months. My nic level is 12 mg now. Thru my "research" watching numerous YouTube videos I've heard I need to lower my nic level. The problem is I already have ALOT of 12 mg juices (I also have a few 6mg juices). One person said you should use no nic juice. Is this only for sub ohming, since you get so much more vapor? I'm going to try and build my first coil around 1 ohm I think. I may just do a single coil at first, to get a little higher resistance, then add a parallel coil after I've used it a little while to lower the resistance. If anyone can share their experience with nic level and RDAs I'd appreciate it. Slightly off topic... After I purchased the omega I read some reviews saying its not the best for a beginner due to it being a little tricky build because of the high walls. Anyone have opinions on a better RDA to get for a beginner?
  9. I like to change flavors pretty frequently. It seems like to rewick with the wick I got I will have to build a new coil. Would it be easier to use cotton balls?
  10. So, after making this post I decided I had to have the hcigar nemesis. I figured I'd go ahead and get the stuff to make a RDA, I know at some point ill want to try. I got an hcigar nemesis and omega RDA, 28 and 30 gauge wire, ecowool wick, ohm reader, Sony vtc5 batteries, and a charger. I'm pretty excited, should have everything in by the middle of next week. Any tips or suggestions before I get started? How long can I expect a coil to last? Thanks
  11. Are all dripping atomizers rebuildables?
  12. I started vaping a few months ago with and EVOD glass starter kit. Next, I got an ego twist, vision spinner 2, and a few different tanks (aerotank mini, miniprotank 2, and an aerotank). Now I've gotten to the point where I would like to get a mod. I saw a post where someone mentioned the hcigar nemesis mod which looks like something I'd enjoy. I like the size/shape/price, not positive about the button position though. I don't think I feel like doing the whole rebuildable thing, and know very little about atomizers. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where to start with this. I assume I will need the mod, pretty sure my aerotank will fit it, but would also like to get an atty (is this dripping?). I don't mind spending some money. I realize I'm going to need a few things, but would rather not spends hundreds of dollars on a mod. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Thanks
  13. Thanks... Ima dummy...there was a rubber thing on the coil I was supposed to remove. These batteries sure do hit good, and I finally got some good juice!
  14. I just got an ego twist and vision spinner 2. They did not come with chargers. Can I use my evod2 glass charger? Also, one of the tanks I ordered isn't working. It's a KangerTech T3d, is this not compatable?
  15. I found a site that sells evod starter kits (2 tanks, batteries, 5 coils and a charger) for $29. Ill probably just get a few of those, doubt ill find anything less expensive.
  16. Just recieved my first zample box. I've been trying to find my flavor with fairly little success so far. I've found a few I like, a few I hate, but nothing I loved yet. At least the search has been pretty fun. Anyone know of a good cotton candy?
  17. I started vaping a little over a week ago. I'm really enjoying it, and am going to buy one for my brother, sister, sister in law, and friend. I have and evod 2 glass, which has been good to start. Last week I bought a vision spinner 2, ego twist, a few different tanks, and 50 coils. Do y'all think I should buy 4 starter kits (will prob cost more), or individually buy batteries, tanks, chargers and give them some of the coils I just got. I think it will be a little cheaper if I do it separately. I know they sell stuff on this forum (I've spent $100+ here already), but does anyone know of a good site where I can buy in bulk? If you don't want to post it up here, you could send me a message. Thanks
  18. I took chantix to quit smoking. It definately makes you not enjoy smoking (and I did quit), but I also had some mild side effects. It made me very nauseous. I also had very vivid dreams, but they weren't nightmares so I actually kind of enjoyed them. Chantix is definately not for everyone, but I wouldn't say it's as bad as a drug as y'all are making it out to be. The nausea made me quit taking it after about 3 weeks. I then found myself craving a cigarette after meals. I saw a guy vaping and had earlier that day noticed an e-cig store (I was out of town). I went and got one and am really enjoying it. My fiancé was with me and commented that she was glad I got one. Apparently I have been moody. I didn't really notice it at the time, but looking back on it I do remember getting angry at work much more often than normal.
  19. I am a dentist and just started vaping to quit smoking. I've learned so much from this site about vaping its nice to be able to contribute something for once . Like ^ said, the problem is most likely from dry mouth. Saliva is a natural buffer, keeping the pH in your mouth slightly higher (less acidic). When you have dry mouth the pH drops and this makes it much easier to get cavities. Do NOT fix your dry mouth by drinking anything surgery. I'm not saying never drink a coke. The problem comes when you are continuously sipping on surgery/acidic drinks (coke, juices...) thruout the day. Drink whatever you want during meals, but you should be sipping on water thruout the day, absolutely not anything containing sugar, to control your dry mouth.
  20. I've got like 20 different flavors to try, so I can't use a different coil for each. I guess I'll rinse out the tank between each and use one coil for the fruity stuff and one for all the others
  21. 1.) How important is it to keep my e cig (evod glass) upright? Is it bad to lay it on its side? 2.) How do you empty the juice if you want to put a new one in? Should I rinse the tank out after pouring the old juice out? I have a lot of different flavors coming in today and want to try them out to see which ones I like. Thanks
  22. I got an evod glass starter kit about a week ago and am really enjoying it. After reading and getting suggestions here on vapor talk I decided to get some new stuff. I ordered both eliquid sample packs the other day (want to sample and see what flavors i like). Today I went a little crazy and ordered a kanger aero tank mini, vision spinner 2, popcorn, birthday cake, spiced apple, and snickerdoodle fadora liquid. I may have gone a little overboard, but I think I made pretty good selections. The only thing I'm not sure about is the aero tank. Can't wait for this stuff to arrive!
  23. I just looked into subscribing to vape-box. I got an email that says I have 487 invitations before me. It seems like this may take awhile. Anyone tried any of the other subscriptions?
  24. I got the evod one because I liked the size. I've seen some people with really big ecigs (if thats what they are called) which didn't seem very practical for daily use.
  25. I guess it could just be my tongue feeling dry. Didn't know about the hydrating thing, should be easy to remedy. Can I use the same evod battery for the different heating elements?
