I totally understand this. I love my Nautilus. I never could keep Kangers working. Flooding, Leaking, Juice in the drip tip...etc. I switched to an Aspire ET-S BDC and worked perfectly. I then upgraded to the Nautilus. It was not perfect my any stretch of the imagination, but I had much better luck with it. The coils do cost a bit more. I then moved up to a Delta 19 and it was even better than the Nautilus (IMO) but coils are even more expensive than the Nautilus. I now have a Kanger Sub Tank Mini and this thing is great! It does cost a little more, but a great value for what you get. I am still having a bit of unburned juice issue with it, but I am hoping it is just over wicking Comp is making me a new higher VG batch of Frutti-Tutti http://www.fadoravapor.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_9&products_id=216to try in it. I am running the 1.2 ohm coil at 12 watts, but I like 15 - 20 better. The RTA is great too! I have not tried the sub ohm coil yet, except to see if it works with my mods. So I am back on Kanger!

Lamb Of God Tour Dates Announced!
jasonculp replied to T-Bone's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
You don't know how bad I have wanted to tour the North East! We have not taken a vacation in years, and if things don't change, this one is going to be the same. I am currently doing a job poorly that should be done by 3 people and I don't see that changing anytime soon! To make matters worse my wife and I can never get out of work at the same time. It would be a blast! It looks like the closest shows to me would be Albuquerque, NM or Dallas. -

Which mech mod or box for kanger tech subtank
jasonculp replied to vaping_jake's topic in General Vaping Discussion
There are so many Hana Clones! This one seems to get pretty good reviews. The picture of the DNA type board looks a lot like Cloupor's version, but I can't tell. Here it is on SlowTech: http://www.fasttech.com/products/3032/10007864/1893404 I personally don't have any experience with this one, but chances are someone on here does! -

Smoktech XPRO M65 Anyone have one or the M50?
jasonculp replied to NCHornet's topic in Variable Voltage & Wattage
Take a lot of pictures and post a review when you get it! I really like the way it looks and it seems to have some unique features. -
That is a good possibility. My OCD wouldn't let me do it though keep it uniform...lol

The memory features on the YiHi chips are great! Mine are on 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30. I really like it. This new Kanger mod only has 7 settings and I thought they were strange. 8, 13, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 watts. I just cant figure out why 13? Is it that 8 watts is the lowest setting and 8 is +5 watts?

I do like it and with all the SubOhm clearomizers cominimg out it will take different gear. I really think they should have taken the time to add a screen or possibly more wattage settings. I don't need the .1 watt increments but 8 watt to 13 watt to 20 watt seems strange to me. I could handle 5 watt jumps starting at 5 watts or so. How long before we see a sub ohm iClear 16....lol

I think we need a 12 step program for GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome...not my term, I stole it)

IPV-mini 2 (70W) coming soon
jasonculp replied to Earthling789's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
I am like you, I will probably never use the full 70 watts. I don't even use the full 30 watts of the mods I have. I have noticed that he is good at it! -
IPV-mini 2 (70W) coming soon
jasonculp replied to Earthling789's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
I have been looking at these. I think I want one. I am learning that the rounded side feel much better in my hand. Using this Sigelei 30watt mini all day it just feels so boxy. It could be because it is a box...lol The IPV mini seemed a little large, so I waited, and now they are coming out with a new version... -
I have not been able to find out much about these, but a few vendors have them showing up, but not in stock. Here is the only writeup I could find: http://thegrumpyvaper.com/kangertechs-first-box-mod-makes-its-debut/ Here are the specs currently available: 8-40 WATTS 18650 (20A) 510 Connection Height: 89mm Length: 40mm Width: min 20mm, max: 25mm Battery: 18650 (discharge>20A) Wattage: Output: 8-40W Short Circuit Protection Overcurrent Protection 10 sec cut-off Replaceable Cells Battery capacity indicator

Which mech mod or box for kanger tech subtank
jasonculp replied to vaping_jake's topic in General Vaping Discussion
The data sheet that I have shows .5 as the lower limit for the Evolv DNA 30. It should work. The problem you can run into is many of these mods don't read the ohms of the atomizer correctly and might not fire. I have tried the .5 ohm coil on the iStick 30 watt, Sigelei 30 mini, and my ipv3. I was just trying to check to see how close the ohms read on the 3 different devices. If you have a specific box mod you are looking at post a link and someone would be glad to check it out and make sure it is compatible. More than likely someone here runs the combination you are looking for! -
I hope you are right. I checked ASMODUS shows it in stock, but it still shows it as a preorder to be released in February. I went to my order and it says ON HOLD. I don't know, I may email them. I got my Sigelei from them and have had excelent customer service, but I guess they could be taking care of thier dealers first, then thier own customers.

Colossal on preorder. (The wait has been agonizing) Another Subtank Mini IPV Mini v2 Vapor Shark DNA30 SX Mini M Class or Glass (I can't tell from the font they used) http://www.yihisxmini.com/index.html(if it isn't vaporware) Aspire ESP (if it isn't vaporware also) Build a DNA40 or SX350j box I also want to build my testing/building station. Electronics are just so expensive and time is so rare. I will probably have to pay again this year. We both take extra out of our base pay, but my commission screws everything up tax wise... so I guess it is just a plain wish list...

I think that is why I am in industrial sales. I enjoy the technical end of everything, and enjoy talking about it...too much. Ask me what time it is....

I agree. I lurk around reading all of the threads from the custom box builders, and there does seem to be more issues with them than there should be. I have never used nickel, and it doesn't sound fun.

Smoktech XPRO M65 Anyone have one or the M50?
jasonculp replied to NCHornet's topic in Variable Voltage & Wattage
Ha ha. I know better (than to try it again). She is generally pretty cool about it, but here lately she has increased her spending as a result. I am going to have to take a break, but they keep coming out with new stuff. I for one am glad to see the Chinese New Year! Well kinda... -
I love the RMS/Mean debates, and throw in DC/DC/PMW and you can get people completely riled up! I love the debates, but at the end of the day they are nothing more than to measure how much power is going to the coil and DC/DC vs PMW is just how to get it there. I personally could care less what the reading says adjust as needed...lol I am a geek though, so the numbers are fun. I do feel sorry for the people who like the cooler vape though. They are really being left out of the technology race. I understand the problems that some are having not being able to regulate much below battery voltage. I did see that the ipv mini seems to do pretty good in PMW mode (from Phil's review). I am hopeful that the new DNA40 and the SX350j people will be able to actually use temperature to regulate their mods. I don't have a DNA40 but it looks promising.

Smoktech XPRO M65 Anyone have one or the M50?
jasonculp replied to NCHornet's topic in Variable Voltage & Wattage
I think you are right. I was paying over $50 a carton. When I quit I was smoking 3 cartons in 2 weeks (depending on my activities). So than means I can get 4 mods under $50 and 240 ml of juice a month! I'll be right back I am going to go tell my wife....lol I cruise about 10 webpages a day looking for new stuff I don't need, but really, really want! I keep saying that I was perfectly happy with the iStick and Nautilus, but I think they have been replaced by Sigelei and SubTankMini... -
It will be hard to get to an equivalent voltage with the iStick. When you have it on 3 volts it is actually putting out 4.16. Even the new 30 watt is running a bit hotter than what the screen reads. It seems like all of the new small mods have a problem in reducing the voltage. I think the people making these mods are losing a part of the market for not providing better step down control. It doesn't affect me much because I never seem to go under 10 watts or so. (Which is over 4.2Volts)
