  1. If you go to the cloud chasing section there is a spot on there to post your coil builds and maybe get some ideas on what other people do that works for them. I'm sure any of us wouldn't mind throwing some tips your way as well. So that being said, welcome to VT. There is a great group of people here with a wealth of knowledge when it comes to vaping and I hope you stay off the cigarettes for good this time.
  2. all i can say is that one of your devices is reading it wrong and that you shouldnt trust what it says on a device anyways. get yourself an ohm reader or head to the vape shop and use theirs to figure out which one is reading correctly.
  3. Even the supposed ingredients that come in a bottle, even at the local vape shops where you know they just use the basics (PG, VG, Flavoring and nicotine) there are no guarantees tha those ingredients are safe to inhale for a long term use. What I do know is that all of those ingredients are contained in food that most people eat on a regular basis. I'm not a rocket psychiatrist or anything in my head that equals generally safe.
  4. 24 guage 7 wrap center post (sleeper) is my go to build right now, you are absolutely correct.
  5. I was at the vape shop yesterday and the guy that works there showed me his orchid RTA, I tried it out and really liked it. Mainly because there was very sufficient airflow and it was set up for a dual coil.
  6. can you send me a pic of how you wicked your russian? I'm curious to see how it differs from mine. I have tried a few different things and this tank used to be great for me. I just had a bad run when it came to building the thing and finally just said screw it.
  7. just make sure that if you do build it you put it on an ohm reader and make sure that you are using a sufficient battery.
  8. I have read a lot of bad reviews of E-Liquid in the past from a supposed FDA report that basically said they tested a bunch of bottles from different companies back in 09 if im not mistaken, what they said was that there were trace amounts of some chemical in there, but in comparison to the amount of chemicals and other bad things that are in cigarettes it was negligable. However, if you look at what people use to make the liquid, it is all food grade items. vegetable glycerin and proplyne glycol with some nicotine and flavoring. All of these items are virually not harmful. Some people say that proplyne glycol can be harmful but from what i understand you would have to drink a gallon of the stuff at one time for it to cause problems. Overall, in comparison, it seems to be a much safer alternative to traditional cigarettes.
  9. I bought some of that one time and I really wasnt too impressed with the flavor, but i vaped the whole bottle and I am still alive. As far the safety and long term effects of it, does it have ingredients? if so it shouldnt consist of anything other than VG, PG, Nicontine and artificial or organic flavoring. If you start seeing other stuff on there then its probably not good.
  10. everyone has to start somewhere, and it's good that people are seeking advice rather than just buying some crazy stuff and attempting stupid builds that could get them hurt. So the people that seek advice on this forum are the smart ones in my opinion.
  11. That title rhymed and I didnt even try, I'm a poet and didnt know it. Anyways, Kayfun was my first rebuildable that I got back in April, I was in love with the thing back then and when it worked, it worked great. However, it would leak, I would get dry hits, I just could not get any consistency out of it, but I was happy to have a tank that I could get good flavor out of without dripping. Lately though, I've come to the conclusion that I would rather just carry my stillare everywhere I go with a bottle of juice in my pocket to avoid the leakiness of the kayfun. Seriously, I would walk from an air conditioned building into the hot sun and that would cause it to leak. It just gets annoying. I used to be like some of the other people on here that say they don't want to get into dripping because it seems like a lot of work blah blah blah, let me just shed some light on it from my point of view. Dripping is not too much work, and the time that it does take to put a few drops of juice on your wick is well worth the sacrifice of a few seconds. Flavor is leaps and bounds above your standard tank RBA. I know a lot of people feel the same way as I do about this, but maybe some people that are getting annoyed with their tank RBAs and are on the fringe when it comes to just setting them aside will read this and gain another perspective. Rant and rave complete. Sorry, but I had something on my mind and just needed an audience, but some feedback on how you feel about this topic would give me some reassurance that I'm not insane.
  12. I suggest buying clones, sometimes they are hit or miss, but 95% of the time (at least for me) they are just as good as the real deal and only a fraction of the price.
  13. ive never heard that 18650s hit harder. The purple efest 26650 put out a 64 amp pulse and 32 continuous if im not mistaken and a sony vtc4 will put out 70 amp pulse. So I'm not sure that the size of the battery matters as much as what type you have and what they are rated at.
  14. the fogger gets a little tricky when it comes to wicking, kayfun is a lot more forgiving.
  15. yes, you are correct, make a coil and leave one of the leads long enough to go through the center post and build another coil on the other side of the center post. The hard part is making a tight coil on the other side becuase you have to wrap it on the mod. Rip Trippers does a decent video on it.
  16. 24 guage center post build, or sleeper coil as some people call it, 7 wraps. This build just hits the spot for me, produces huge clouds, great flavor, easy to build and wick.
  17. I dont really know what to say, I hate to give build advise to someone that hasnt really vaped before, but if you're dead set on it a good way to get your feet wet would be to start with a kayfun as it's an easy rebuildable to start on. I would go with a mech for the mod because you can always move up to a more advanced tank. As far as batteries go, just to be on the safe side, you should get a 30 amp or higher battery such as Sony VTC4 or 5 (just my opinion) these batteries will be sufficient even if you decide to start using lower ohm builds in the future. You're not going to get huge clouds, but it will get you the experience you need to get there eventually. I can't stress enough the safety though. Make sure you have an ohm reader. Make sure you watch videos and take all the advice given from people that have been doing this for a long time. Then when you feel comfortable get yourself a dripper because that's where the intense flavor and huge clouds come into play. I hope this helps a little and please be safe, I know at my local vape shop there are people in there that are very knowledgable about rebuildables and would probably jump at the opportunity to help out a newbie, just incase you want a face to face rather than an internet video.
  18. If this is your first rebuildable I would suggest a Kayfun for the tank, theyre easy and usually dependable. as for the mod, I have a nemesis and used it for a long time, it's a good mod.
  19. yes, good point earthling. I buy a lot of clones knowingly because the genuines of the stuff I buy are really expensive.
  20. eBay has great deals on everything vapor, I do 90% of my shopping for this stuff on there. Just check the seller rating and make sure he has above 99% positive feedback.
  21. 100 ft of 24 guage 4 sony VTC4s pack of "O" rings and some bluetooth earbuds for my wife.. The last one was random but it was all in the same order on ebay lol
  22. I tend to poop more often, I didnt change my diet or anything so I blame it on the vape. maybe this means that quitting analogs makes your digestive system works better and that the smelly farts are a way of releasing all of the toxins that you have been inhaling for so long.
  23. I may be wrong, but I think the flavor is equally affected by the wicking and certain wicking sytles working better with different types of coils. as far as the science behind all this I am clueless as well. I find my sweet spots through a long series of trial and error, but it would make sense that more vapor equals more flavor and it could be that the particular flavor that you are using works better on a higher ohm coil because it doesnt taste good warm. I have noticed that certain flavors taste great on my Stillare at .25 ohms, but terrible on my nimbus that I have set at .8 and vise versa.
