  1. Thanks guys it really helps me out ill have to buy a few attys and cartos it seems to experiment i see i get a lot of mixed feelings about cartos but thats the nice thing everyone is different some like it and some dont so ill have to try it on my own oh by the way which cartos should i get and particular design better than others and is the LR cartos any good

Most people prefer the soft tip cartomizers, where the white piece in the top is rubber rather than hard plastic. It's much easier to remove, but not so easy that it falls out or anything. Makes refilling them super easy.

As for LR, I'm afraid I can't help you there.

  2. since you say you don't have disposable cash, cartos are the way to go.

they tend to run a single dollar per carto.

attys are good for DD but are a bit more expensive.

if you are on the go DDing isn't always something you can do, like driving.

maybe get a few attys for at home and cartos for on the go. you don't have to be tied down to one or the other.

Second this completely. I direct drip mostly, but sometimes I use cartomizers. It depends on my mood and situation.

  3. Ok, after doing some rather extensive hunting around, I think I have been able to decide part of this whole equation. I definitely want something that is sleek and good looking as well as not looking like your traditional cigarette. Would prefer a thinner model though and battery life has got to be good to excellent.

So do you want something as thin as a cigarette, but isn't actually camouflaged as one? If you're set on a thin, realistic size, then you need a Joye 510, hands down. The only problem there is that the battery life isn't great. Not terrible, but not great. However, you can purchase a charging pack separately. It's basically a cigarette pack that you charge, and if you're out and about, you can put a dead battery into the pack and it will charge it on the go.

I would personally suggest the eGo. It's not huge by any means, but it is thicker than any cigarette. Honestly, imagine one of those SUPER nice high quality ink pens; the eGo is comparable to those in both size and style. This one is more powerful and longer lasting than the 510, so if you can deal with the size, I STRONGLY recommend it.

As other people are saying, get out of those trials as quickly as possible. I'd bet money that it's a poor product, and they're going to give you a hard time.

I just realized that I kind of didn't add anything new to this conversation. Posting anyway!

  4. LOL You're too funny Uma....BUT I have done this too. I want bits and pieces from like 5 places. In a perfect vaping world (which I don't know if we'll see), it would be one stop shopping. Maybe like BJ's Club. Imagine warehouse vaping supplies? lol

Every product from every supplier shipping from one location, one order. I like.

  5. Big Pharma will allocate our fix, dilute our fix, add crappioly to our fix, make it harmful in other ways so that they can proceed with the warning lables of using their product and sound oh so professional.

You just nailed my number one main concern that I have had this whole time. We can throw around the word "regulation" because it sounds like a good thing, but it's not inherently good or bad. In this case, it is going to be bad. They "regulate" cigarettes and they contain thousands of chemicals that do nothing but bad.

They said that they found liquid with components of antifreeze in it; well once they finish with it, it will contain a lot worse.

  6. Do the math.

    tobacco = 4000 chemicals

    e liquids = 2 main chemicals

We can use the death statistics from tobacco related deaths and sort of get an idea that there will be at the very least, fewer deaths caused by ecigs.

I think it's a valid statement to use and further sheds light on the goofy way they are treating ecigs and ignoring all the things we do know about cigarettes!

They piss and moan about child proof caps on juice bottles but never mind all the cigarette buts children can pick up off the ground and many still burning too!

    It is all politics!

You pretty much wrote my reply. :unworthy:

I kept trying to elaborate, but I almost said something about smoking cessation that is never to be spoken, EVER. Instead, you just get a digital high-five. :animier:

  7. Human testing? Testimonies aren't enough... word of mouth. Yet symantics can get them banned. wait. Testimonies can get them banned too. No matter what is said or done, they can get banned. That says a lot about the politics of this whole thing.

That's so true. Look at how many people electronic cigarettes have killed. I believe the tally is zero. It's not a matter of "We messed up here, messed up there, should have done that," because it is all politics.

  8. Agreed! Unless you're one of the few people who hates cinnamon (See also: communist) it is an absolute must-have. If someone says they can't taste this flavor, they need to seek medical attention.

Tasty Vapor liquids tend to change as they age since they are mixed so fresh, and in my experience, it just gets better. It becomes a little more sweet and mellow, but still hot and strong. I just got three bottles of it.

Word to the wise: This is the only flavor I have reserved an atomizer for. It is completely necessary.

  9. I have had a lot of leaking with the LR cartos... But I tossed the one, and not sure I will open another. The taste was too bad..

Basically using a regular carto during work with a drip tip, dripping a bit in every so often. Using the LR atty at home while dripping, but may just go to using the cartos exclusively

Keeping the atty for when I want to test flavors.

The regular cartos that I have are the silver threaded ones.. The taste is much smoother and consistent

Now I was getting great taste with the LR atty with using a cart packed with the tea bag fill

Am wondering if the LR cartos would be better if the filler was replaced, can you replace the filler in the same way as you would a cart?

I think so. I have actually heard of people cleaning the filler and putting it back, and even removing the filler and dripping into it like an atomizer.

Then again, I just tried to remove the filler from an old one, and I ripped out some important-looking wires and things. :innocent: So you might want to research it carefully.

  10. Here is my take on it...

    Regular atomizers are good.

Regular cartomizers are 10x stronger and produce much more vapor. Not sure why. Also good.

LR atomizers taste like I lit a dead raccoon on fire and inhaled the smoke. I don't hate myself nearly enough to mess with LR again. Not good.

Never tried LR cartomizers, because frankly, since the atomizers taste burnt and hideous, I can't imagine that surrounding it with an easily burnt filler is going to help that at all. Never tried it, though.

    Just my opinions/experiences. :shiftyninja:

  11. vanilla is a tough one.

so far i have had killa vanilla from vaporgalaxy and that is awesome

diyflavorshack has unbelievalbe juice and her vanilla was out of this world

apple you kind of cant mess up.

for all around best bough juice i would have to say diy is my first choice, here for others like sweet dawn and some others, and vg for some other goodies.

Very strongly recommend Killa Vanilla from Vapor Galaxy. It's amazing. I also love Volcano's vanilla but the highest it goes is 12mg.

As far as apple goes, I have only tried E-Liquid Planet's, which is just okay. VT's should be in my mailbox tomorrow!

  12. I BOUGHT MY IOLITE! IT'S ON! RELEASE THE KRAKEN!:punk:

    OH SH-...

WHERE DID YOU GET 150 EUROS?!

I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH 150 EUROS IS!

    CAPS LOCK off.

My backup plan? A pack of Marlboro Smooth 100s and a Bic. HA, kidding. But no, seriously... <_<

But I definitely look forward to hearing about your plan! I'm definitely curious.

Sidenote: So we're saying that this is relatively safe as well, because it's pure tobacco without the additives. So is rolling your own cigarettes still a no-go? I'm just asking because it's an obvious option to me, but I assume there is a reason it's bad.

  13. OK, I was going to say something about the pros and cons of ecigs being considered tobacco products vs. drug but... there is a nicotine condom? Is it what it sounds like? that just sounds scary.

It is exactly what it sounds like. Think of it as a nicotine patch that you wear on your... well, nevermind.

It's supposed to eliminate the need to smoke after sex.

Which sounds utterly ridiculous to me.

Not sure about the tobacco vs. drug thing. On the surface, I'm assuming that they want it to be a tobacco product, because tobacco isn't ACTUALLY regulated. They'll do things like add fire-safe paper, just for show, but they still aren't safe. If we're in the same category as tar and rat poison, then a simple bottle of liquid containing under ten ingredients should be no problem at all.

Or maybe it's because "drug delivery device" sounds dirty and evil. Bad connotations.

    *Shrug*

I don't actually know what I'm talking about, so I'd also like to see an explanation from someone who does.

  14. In all honesty, there are several things going on here. First, my wife's job is horrible and she comes home in tears on many nights. She has mentioned that she was thinking of taking up smoking just so she could go outside for a break. She has also mentioned that she needs a way to relax and that I seem to get a lot of pleasure out of smoking. She also wants to try new things that are outside her comfort level without totally going off the deep end. She tried a regular cigarette a few weeks ago and found it relatively unpleasant, but said that she would want to try it again and remained open. This week as she was almost in tears after work, she mentioned that she would love to smoke for 2 weeks to learn how to do it properly so that she could smoke only when she gets stressed out. I am the one that suggested the e-cig as an alternative and I bought her 3 flavors of 0 nicotine juice.

Second, I do like that she and I can share this. It has actually opened up a whole new line of communication for us and we are spending a lot more time together now whether she vapes or not. Even when she doesn't vape, she mentions that she wants to learn, but she wants to do it when there is more time on the weekend or when she isn't just getting over her current cold. I make the 0 nic e-cig available to her, but I don't push her unless she starts talking about it herself. Third, I do find it a little sexy that she is doing something that she would not have done in the past. It was exciting the night that she smoked the analog and I have to admit that it got me excited. I don't however want her to take up smoking or vaping on a regualr daily basis and I don't want her to get addicted to anything that will harm her. I am providing her with the 0 nicotine so that she can learn easily without getting addidcted and then she can vape when she feels like it a few times a week in the evenings without NEEDING to smoke or vape because she is addicted.

Fourth, in addition to the vaping, I have started her playing backgammon with me, and most nights she has an evening cocktail with me to take the edge off. All of this is a process to help her reduce stress and learn how to relax, and it all works together as her and I work together.

Sorry that was so long, but it was a great thing for you to make me think about her and my motivation in this. Thank you!!

In that case, what I said before times TWO. Reminds me of a thread on ECF. Someone got torn apart because he had a friend who was in chronic pain due to some kind of medical condition. She was about to start smoking to take the edge off and he had the NERVE  to get her to vape instead. They crucified him. Because he stopped a potential smoker and got her on a safer alternative instead. I don't know about you guys, but I want to high-five him.

If it is keeping her from smoking, great. If it is spicing up your marriage, even better.

As for the ritual addiction, there's not much that can be done about that. Just keep trying. As others said, there's not really a "wrong" way to do this. Vaping isn't signing a contract saying that you're not allowed to smoke anymore, although it is demonized in the community. I'll admit, I still smoke on occasion, because I'm no longer addicted to smoking. I can just smoke one and forget about it.

Wow, I kind of lost track there.

Anyways, yeah. Just keep trying! The point is, you're cutting down. That's better than nothing.

  15. oh sorry Chris I thought you told me thats why you have the editor in place so it just gets blanked out, I'll keep it down I understand. :)

Haha, that's what I'm thinking. The filter takes the fun out of scolding us! :crybaby:

I think one of the companies with weird additives was Johnson Creek. I think that's the name? The creeps with a tree logo?

Someone sent me a sample of their tobacco flavor.

It is now dark, dark, DARK bluish green. Almost BLACK...

There is no reason for tobacco liquid to be blackened green.

I wouldn't recommend their products. :no

I think the only additive I'd vape is caffeine. Sounds like a cool idea. But as Chris said, you won't find many companies doing this, because the FDA will go after you personally.
