  1. If you like AC, you'll love Geoff's Blend IMHO. Once it ages the flavor is like a big red or is it juicy fruit... nope I'm getting big re... juicy... both! Definately a unique flavor, but a bit milder then AC. I've known some that couldn't handle AC but can vape Geoff's Blend. I love both. Love the Kretek as well. Used to smoke the occasional clove cig back in college and this one definately brought back memories from the first puff. Haven't tried any other clove juice, but those who have say TV's blend is the closest out there. I tend to believe them. SAMPLES: TV doesn't do samples... however, there is an affiliated sample co-op and juice trade in their sub-forum on ECF. The co-op sends out 20 sample sized flavors at 0 nic for people to try at a resonable fee. Seems popular though I haven't tried it myself. I already have a wide variety of their juice at the ready. Though I do need to try the Butter Rum after reading this review!
  2. Atomic Cinnacide or Geoff's Blend from Tasty Vapor for all day vapes. When my taste buds need a break, I switch to a custom mix of 60% Orange / 30% Pineapple / 10% Lime (also from TV). It's a great summertime flavor!
  3. Just in time is right... Heard that Nuck decided to take off for summer vacation with his kids. I understand that he'll be open for business again Sept 1st. I figure that I would have spent that much on analogs in roughly 3 weeks (2+ packs a day). So it won't take long for me to feel that I've gotten a good return for my money. (Ok... so maybe I'm justifying but according to the spreadsheet I keep on my ecig expenses vs. analogs I'm still way in the black and feeling good about it. )
  4. I agree that it's not cheap. But the instructions are open source for anyone with the talent in modding. For myself, I wanted quality, reliability, and durability for my money. There are comparable units, but many seem to have issues / bugs still to be worked out or are just too complicated for me to want to fool with. I didn't want to worry with batteries or screwdrivers or needing a meter to see what voltage I was using. Part of that comes from knowing my own needs and limits after all these years. You place your bets and take your chances though. I'm just betting the Fist Pack keeps on chugging along reliably long enough for me to feel good about the expenditure.
  5. Always have my Canon handy! Took a pic next to my eGo for reference. You'll have to excuse the chipped up cone of the eGo. It's survived a couple of drops. The Fist Pack is threaded for 510 and both are shown with drip tip attached ready to go! For those unfamiliar with the Fist Pack.. On the side at the top is the switch used for changing voltage, the USB connection for charging / passthru is in the middle and the test button for the battery is at the bottom. There are 4 voltage settings on this model (4.3 to 5 volts). Edited: To add info on the functions
  6. Just received my Fist Pack today. (SX Model 4.3 to 5 volts) I posted this review in a discussion of 5v devices in another section, but wanted to share it here as well. Here are my initial thoughts.... I don't have large hands, but it fits nicely in my palm. Really it's similar in size to my cell phone if a wee bit thicker. It didn't take long though to get comfortable with it, even driving a stick shift. I've been mainly using an eGo with the occasional LR atty, so I'm loving the additional kick the Fist Pack is delivering consistently. At every setting, it packs a whallop every time. I also love the ability to easily switch from one voltage to the other without any guess work. Like the eGo, I'm getting a consistent "fresh battery" type of hit each time. Unlike the eGo, the Fist Pack has a test button to let me know when it needs an additional charge so I'm never caught unawares. Since the battery will last me a couple of days and can also be used as a passthru while charging, the eGo is now going to be strictly a backup device I do believe. I'm extremely impressed with the quality of the mod too. The look and feel are classy and sleek, unlike some of the mods out there. The finish is flawless. The switch itself moves with a sure and solid click into each position. The button action is smooth. Nuck obviously made this mod to last. Overall I feel that this was money well spent. I'm confident that I'll be using the Fist Pack for a long time to come without any worries.

  8. Amazing the lengths they'll go to when talking someone into buying their product. Unfortunately it's just this type of irresponsible behavior that reflects badly on us all when it comes to light. For the record, to my knowledge vaping is not illegal anywhere. They are subject to the non-smoking bans in some areas though, such as our local university which specifically calls out e-cigs in their non-smoking policy until such time as the FDA settles the issue once and for all.
  9. Ordered the Nuck's Fist Pack myself which has a switch based variable voltage with 4 settings. (Hate the name though!) My decision was based on the long battery life (2,6000 mah), USB passthru capability while charging, and, of course, the ability to easily switch voltages. I wanted the variable voltage experience, but I know myself and if I needed ease of use as well. May not have the ability for infinate adjustment, but I know myself and I'm much more likely to use the various settings if all I have to do is flip a switch. Keeping track of batteries and "dialing" in a voltage would have been a waste on me! Anyway, I should have it in hand in a couple of days and can't wait to try it out!
  10. You could try Super T, the original drip tip manufacturers I think. They still sale the original non-contured design in both long and short versions. Can't get my links working correctly from here, but it's http://www.supertmanufacturing.com/id72.html. (Dadgum work computer) I prefer their stainless steel original version myself, though I have a few of the contured variety as well. Edit: Oh good! The link worked after all!
  11. I've used the usb charger exclusively with my eGo and haven't had any problems with battery life. I get around 10 hrs... and I'm a heavy vaper! Used to smoke 2+ packs a day of the analogs, so I put it through it's paces.
